Favorite part is it cost under $1,000, love the toiletries, you would be amazed how fast your heel can dig up dirt if someone surprisingly comes along. LO L 😂. Roof sealant in the U.S.A. you can buy in 1 gallon to to 55 gallon barrels. Apply it with a paint 3/4 inch nap roller or use a paint brush. I use black on my deer stands due to camouflaging trying to blend in with the surrounding elements. I use white for the sun reflection on my house because I live in the south and the heat and humidity is unbearable in the summer.
Such a nice young couple. I hope they're enjoying the US, and seeing and experiencing many of the things this country has to offer. Such a clever build with scrap material, so creative. I love their energy and their positive attitudes. I wish them very good luck and good fortune, good health and happiness always.
If you can store a Bucket with Toilet Top seat & a Disposable Poop Bags,like Doggie Bags you can go inside & not worry about finding a place,tie it up ,dump at your nearest Restroom!👌🙌🙏🇺🇸

I liked the shower idea. I'm not a fan of the cat hole cause I'm older . Nice couple. They got this camper done in record time. Maybe she helped a lot too. I'm surprised they don't have a dog. Great video. Thanks
I like the shower too. It reminds me of a couple of Bob’s other videos but I don’t recall what they used on the floor to collect the water. I’ll have to replay it to see if I hear what she said.

Yeah, the more I see things like this, the more I question why our society pushes us to get a 30 year mortgage on a home that's larger than what we need, and then we work 40 hours every week for decades to live in that fancy box.

I liked most everything, but would probably need to add "the bucket."
That has always been a dream of mine. A lightweight cabin on the back of a pickup. Out of materials no one wanted anymore. 😊
I could leave in a camper, but has to have at least a
Proper bathroom, of course can be small. But has to have its on space.

Delightful couple, great use of found materials, creative use of a small space. Definitely light weight, first thing I noticed was how high the truck bed was sitting relative to the back tires. Thanks for a great tour!

I like your rig, i was going to build a camper but sold the truck and kept my Envoy, can't stand up but it sleeps well and carries everything I need for just camping.

Great interview! I like the dinette, height and the use of the vertical space with the netting. I have a bel-air shell that I can barely stand up in and I’m 5’1” ! I have 1/2 ton pickup built out with 200 W solar, 200ah batt, 1000W inverter, 40A controller, a 26 qt fridge, bucket toilet, salad bowl sink with attached/removable 6 gal fresh/grey tanks and a portable 1 burner butane gas stove. But I only have a 6’ bed.

Functional and comfortable...there are certainly rolling pieces of art out there for sure, we see them on this channel, but this is more my style and reinforces that getting on the road is the goal - how we get there is an individual endeavor.

I don't know if you have already built one by now but you can put DIY Build truck campers and you can build a camper out of a truck topper too. I just got a raised roof truck topper, used, last week and I'm fixing to start building me one. It's amazing how you can set on up! Solar heat. Water pump, fridge AC in one. I hope you have but if not I hope you do soon and go have a great time. Happy Trails my friend!

Very cool - the beauty of the "No Build" approach - that is the approach that we did in our van and have been more than happy with our set up! Good for others getting out and doing their own things! During our cross country road trip we saw so many people camping in trucks, vans, cars - whatever - just to get out on the road! It was so inspiring! I love this build! Would like to know more about the actual structure. Is there any ore info online? My build is very similar and my biggest fear is whether it is structurally sound enough to drive 60mph or faster. I'm guessing they haven't had any trouble with that. This looks like a lot higher wind profile than mine as well. But this is exactly what I'm going for. Simple, basic, gets the job done. Just wish mine wasn't taking a lot longer than 3 weeks.
I was thinking the same thing but if I heard him correctly, he used 2x2 wood studs for the walls that may be a bit larger than the studs of most campers and half inch cdx for sheathing but it didn’t look like he used any quarter inch sheathing on the interior like most campers. So, for me, I wonder if his structure equals the same if not better than a standard camper.
Also, would love to see your build.

I like the reuse/repurposing of materials, spartan, minimalistic and economical solid build.
Too bad their truck isn't 4 years newer when GM's new 4.3L was introduced with 285HP over the old iron block 4.3L with 195HP. My 2003 F-150 with a smaller 4.2L(Iron Duke) V-6 was 205HP and the 5spd manual transmission and 2WD allowed me to pull an 18ft dove tail trailer with a 3100lb circle track car. They had no choice but to keep the camper as light as possible since they also have the weight of the 4wd components.
Do you have a bathroom? Right here...a small hand shovel....lol. Priceless. Great video.

I like it! Practical, useful, and simple. That's what makes it pleasant. I much prefer a simple and useful RV to one that's too fancy and looks like an apartment. Thanks for sharing this!
They might want around 300 watts of solar panels and 2000 watt inverter and have about 300 amp hours of lithium batteries then they can have 110 volt tv get starlink about $150.00 per month and have their laptop computers running even a 110 fan if needed don't have to worry about cell towers just open skies.

I would keep my 6 gallon bucket with my home made lid , everything looks great .
It looks big on the inide compared to the outside I really like the way they sleep going across very efficient design for use of the space.
If you can't afford to do your ideal build up front then you do this, buy some camping equipment and move in and stop playing rent immediately, then do it up with all the comforts gradually.
