- So the background on this one is that my good friend Fraser from www.gypsyskiss.net, purchased a few knockoff guitars from China (mainly chibson les paul's), here is the last one of four. They hate it when you say they play good. How can that it be?? Lol. Great content, brother. Many more love them than hate them. Just the fact that people show them makes guitar snobs blood boil. Personally, I love all guitars, regardless of the name or politics about this and that.
This one is odd indeed. But that makes it kinda cool.

Regardless of the legalities, some of those Chibsons are pretty good and in-line with a lot of Epiphones. It's more so the USA purists that poo poo anything made in china is rubbish. A good guitar is a good guitar. But not every Chibson ends up being playable so you have to weight the risk vs reward when buying.

Really enjoying your content, agree this guitar would be better with a more traditional bridge, I can't understand trems on Les Pauls either. The fact that you wouldn't have one yourself but are happy to discuss how good they are speaks volumes, good unbiased opinion

Because of the abuse and death threats, its not worth it, I do a lot of gigs in public and could cause issues, unlike others, I dont hide away. However, there is one more Chibson video to come which is gonna blow the whole everything wide open, Strap yourself in for the next video, coming in a few days :) After that I will reevaluate my position and see what can be done.
What about the Wilkinson Double Trem System (ie) the Nut Piece. Floyd Rose nut piece. That should stabilize it does it have the Springs? In the cavity? Ah saw the springs sorry commenting while watching... Sounds Great. Possibly upgrade the The trem system.. I have a few guitars with Floyd Rose and Wilkinson Double Trem Systems also - Tug whic is high end titanium light & super strong.
Alternatively fit a string butler to the headstock, so that there's no snagging as it goes through the nut. I think the main problem is just how crude that attempt at a Wilkinson bridge is. Even blocked off, it doesn't impress.
If I ever go down the Chibson route, bridges and nuts are getting swapped out straight away, along with the pickups.
I have no issues with you featuring Chibsons. I watch to see you and look at and hear different guitars. I want to know how good they are it is tempting at times to get a custom knock off as the real deal is more than i would pay even if i did have it

Just ordered a vintage sunburst chibson with flame maple veneer, a Jimmy page wireless wiring system from six string supplies a guyakka relic bridge, raw nickel neck iron gear rolling mill with a bridge metal machine black and chrome iron gear pickups, a tusque nut all for Christ,as for myself as I've been a very naught fooker and worked very hard this year so thought fook it another guitar to set up and play with on Christmas day, not sure on tuning pegs yet. ..........and yes I'm gonna wrap it all and open with from me to me 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
I'm not too sure why someone would want a one pickup goldtop with a floyd trem. I'm also not a fan of relics, but each to their own. It just goes to show what you can get if you negotiate with sellers. Unless you buy exactly what they have there listed, in my experience its more miss than hit.
I like the belly and heal cuts etc included though.

big deal, even if it were then it would be cheaply imported Khaya from Africa. Genuine mahogany would cost more than the entire guitar, which would make no sense. There are many different tree species, hardwoods, & qualities of mahogany, as well as alternative species. People hear the word "mahogany" and automatically think it's like gold --lol
I said it was mahogany. It didn't say that it was the best mahogany. The guitar is painted gold and the wood grain is not visible. But who gives a $hit $herlok?@@rodnyg7952

Dude, I love chibsons. My main LP now is a chiby, but a LP with a two post fulcrum type of bridge is a blasphemy... of course it's not going to stay in tune.

Hi dave ive had 2 of thse cibson a les paul suoreme and a 335 im a player repairer been at these things nearly 50 years i cut the 2 of them up looked okay but everthing was wrong on them necks nit planed straight geometry on the tenons not right trussrods nit centered properly cavity in the suoreme was all cut to deep the supreme was a neill shon model i cut them up because it wood have taken to much time to put right everthing was done on them real floyd put in real gibson pickups real grovers bone nuts new frets the lot i cut them up because of the time and isdues they had wrong measurments all over pickup cavitys cut wrong bridges nit alligned to the neck right fretbord that are not radioused right cgeap fretwire heastock and nut put on at angkes i could go on buikt with superglues jesus they look nice hid with all the paint people say copies or replicas to which i say they are not go round the whole pice with calipers measuring tools and you will see body archs on the tops are all wrong the lot but as you say 250 for a copy then you put on a nice bridge tuners pickups new nut electrics then the work set uu frets your well into over 400 qwid so why go to all that hassle when you can buy gibson studios for round 450 and lespauls second hand atthe right money you yourself say yeah not bad for 250 but you wood not buy one i bought the 2 i got cheap to check out hiw bad they are cut one up to see what is under the hood and you will see the paint hides everthing on them they are built with a sidways teno where one side is bigger than the other side ephiphone are the same i think for what they are they are a headack i wood rather pay 250 fir a good old vintage jap guitar with which theere is tonns out there least they work straight away and if you have problems made with great wood and parts and good glue which is a easy repair save those chibsons made with superglues and cheap woods to me a second hand guitar is 1000s times better what do you think ray
