The true Legend is the mad genius that created this whole experience for us to enjoy! But I appreciate the amazingly kind words, Warren! And thank you so much for watching. Whatever I am wouldn't be possible without people like you enjoying the content :-)
At 8:35 the Victory Aftermath for the white lion indicates a +1 Weapon Proficiency Level, does this overrule the "hit the monster with said weapon" requirement to gain proficiency you mentioned in the previous video?
No this is just a reminder to gain one weapon proficiency level if you managed to wound the monster with that weapon type. Keep in mind also you need to actually wound the monster to gain a level and not just hit the monster.
Yes ... this is great stuff! I am on the fence about dropping $400 on this game but I'm getting closer. Not that I'm afraid of complex games (MK, GH, ASL) all in the hopper, but the way this game is described, it doesn't seem as complicated as the BGG rating would indicate that it is. Is this a fair assessment?
I've found most of the complexity of this game comes from three places: - The sheer amount of book keeping involved - A number of niche rules that aren't used a lot but are still very important - The interactions of the gear with not only other gear but also the survivors and the monsters. The majority of the game mechanisms themselves are fairly straight forward and once you have them down it's not a huge struggle to play. AND the prologue does a great job of teaching the majority of these mechanisms. So I would say it comes down to how exactly you describe "weight" in regards to the BGG weight rating but if you can handle Gloomhaven or Mage Knight you should have no problem here (I've never played ASL but I think that is also a good indicator you'd be fine with this).
More of these. There's literally nothing like this on youtube. Awesome!!!!
Thanks! The the next one should be up in a week or so.
I just want to thank you again for creating this kdm series. You sir are a legend.

Very clear, thanks for taking the time to make it!
Thank you for the kind comment and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the upload! Another great video. I still haven't played this game, but now the 235 page rulebook doesn't seem so daunting :)
Yeah don't let that thing intimidate you! It's actually only about 60-90 pages of rules haha. The rest is reference material and encounters/stories.
