Wife has a 24 Equinox Ev 2LT AWD and I love that vehicle. I think it looks great and is comfortable and I love driving it. The sunroof is an option but wasn’t available initially with the early models. Volume controls on the back of the steering wheel also. Interior looks great lit up at night
I did the same. Traded a 22 Bolt EUV that was the best car I ever owned and I loved! Thought for sure the Blazer would further improve upon what I loved about the EUV. I picked up my 2024 Blazer EV RS RWD Wednesday and it had a critical high voltage battery fault on the drive home and bricked. I've driven my brand new car less than 20 miles. It's been at the dealership ever since.
The larger wheelbase in the Blazer allows for larger Motors for AWD and the SS Trim, also allows for the larger 12 Module battery while the Equinox only has enough for the 10 module.
I traded my 2023 Mini Cooper EV for the 2024 Blazer RS EV. Im so impressed. Including the 7500 credit i got almost 20k off the sticker. Im also happy with the trade in sale.
I would definitely choose the Equinox over the Blazer. Though, I'm waiting for the Optiq! When that comes out, I would love to see you do another direct comparison like this with Optiq and Lyriq. Also, in some respects, I feel you should do a short drive test. Build quality, which is what you're doing here, is really felt while driving. Sqeaks, rattles, and stiffness all speak directly to build quality.
I own the Equinox. Had considered the Optiq. If the Optiq interior is comparable to the current ICE Cadillac SUV, it's reasonable to expect that the interior and sound system of the Cadillac will be superior
Squeaks, rattle & stiffness. I had a loaner ICE 2023 Blazer while servicing my Equinox EV. IMO, the Equinox is superior. Also, handling of the AWD Equinox EV was more enjoyable than handling of the ICE Blazer and, obviously, the EV was much quieter
28:52 "What the heck is going on here"... that's the space GM left for the two-stage reclining seat back in the second row. Pull up on the release and you can tilt the seat back further. It may be why at 49:09 the Blazer's rear seats feel better than the fronts (49:22 - "the seats feel very reclined back") - they're the "standard" rear seat while the fronts are the "cheap" LT versions. Ultimately, the reason for the existence of the Blazer is in the wheelbase - the RWD Blazer EV has the "big" 105kWh battery, which also has a higher DCFC rate.
I have the Equinox EV 2 RS FWD (mileage was more important to me than the 2 sec better acceleration in the AWD). I feel it is a really nicht and comfy ride, and I’m pretty happy with my purchase.
I bought the 2025 Equinox EV RS FWD in black-out, and I love it. I personally like more upgraded vehicles, but this will do for now as I learn more about owning and driving an EV - this is my first EV. The Cadillac Optiq would be more my style but I'll wait until 2026 model year for that. For now, I'm enjoying my Equinox EV as a daily driver.
I have a 2024 Nox 2RS. Didn’t come with wireless phone charge, folding side mirrors, rain sensing wipers, dual climate control, no air flow seats, heated seats only up front, driver seat only powered, turn signal lights on side mirrors. I did a 2 year lease and don’t plan to keep it. But may purchase a newer one after lease is up.
That must be where I saw them. My older brother drove a used Camaro in the 70's. He traded it in on a new Chevette during the gas shortages of the late 70's. Talk about one of the worst decisions anyone could ever make. LOL I would love to have that Camaro now!
Picked up a loaded ‘24 nox for $33,500, for that price, it’s the best value going imo. Especially when you consider it costs $22 to drive 1000 miles, home charged.
I think the equinox is really nice, but I’m not a fan of the powered door handles. I have a Hyundai with them. For one thing it screams to the world that the car is unlocked. And the other thing is, it’s just something else to break. Just give me the doorhandles like on the blazer, please.
Great reviews! Would like to see a 2025 Equinox EV LT (+ Convenience Package) vs 2024 ID.4 Pro/Pro S comparison, at similar price points. Also, with VWs "stop sale" as of November, I think VW will have some nice discounts when the ID.4 emerges, making pricing even more competitive with '25 Equinox EV.
I did think the backseat of the Blazer was much larger when we tried it, but yeah outside of that very little difference. I feel like it would make more sense if more of the Blazer trims got the bigger battery. As it is the only one that does is the RS RWD.

Thanks a lot for the video. I was looking for this. I was thinking that the Blazer is a bigger vehicle overall from a safety point of view, but I am nof sure if the difference is big. Btw, did you get a chance to test the base stereo system in both these vehicles? Are they any different?
I wonder if one was meant for GMC but marketing realized "truckbros" wouldn't go for EV, so both ended up as Chevy. Perhaps the Equinox was actually meant to be Bolt replacement, but production costs came in too high.
Colton, these legacy manufacturers discount their cars a lot more than Tesla. So as perMSRP, it looks expensive but in real world it's lot more cheaper than Tesals
I bought my 2024 equinox LT with super cruise for about 35k. Went. From a model y. Much better ride and driving experience. Only thing I miss in the Tesla was speed. But really like my equinox. Would not go back to Tesla.
@@brandonswan9247 all manufacturers play games. Tesla plays it openly. Also these MSRP are not really full prices with Tesla as they exclude destination charges. I traded my MYP for a Blazer RS and love it - some much nicer than the Tesla! The Blazer looks better, has more room and is overall better than the EQ - Who cares about the material - you don't touch that stuff at all.
First of all I drove Tesla's several years and with their cheaply built controls that broke and the weak frames that get stress cracks as well as fit lines that open up and gull wing doors that constantly go fail to open and shut right, they start out well and finish poorly. Now I owned a brand new EUV Bolt 2023 that Listed for $35,000.00 and cost me $25,00.00 out the door. I love the dash as well and it is easy to keep clean, try cleaning a fancy dash like the one on our Lexus Crossover.
I own an Equinox 3LT. The interior is OK, but I often get the feeling that Chevrolet interiors materials are a bit cheap. My assumption is that this is for diffentiation with Cadillac. Kia/Hyundai are not as nice as Genesis, but they provide better value interiors for their price. It feels like Chevrolet deliberately cheapens their materials to justify the extra expense of the Cadillac. I'm happy with my Chevy, but agree GM should invest a bit more on interior materials
