Last Word has truly come full circle. From an mnk weapon, then a controller weapon, and now about the same on both.
It’s still substantially better on controller, it’s just not as complete trash on M&K anymore

Not sure if it’s been said already but the Lucky Pants cooldown is only for the pve damage buff. You’ll always get the accuracy buff when swapping to a hc. You can’t do an immediate double swap to refresh though, you’re other weapon needs to be pulled out a bit before stowing again.
Bro I think I hate myself, Ive been trying to perfect the Last Word on MnK but daaaaaaamn. If u get shot literally you loose the battle, even a blue smg is better, and also its so stupid how it cant even stop a guy comming straight to me sliding with a shotgun... This gun really needs to be checked, its been forgotten by bungie literally

For me The Last Word should reward accuracy>spam and even punish spam. To achive this, here are my thoughts on what TLW needs :
-custom crosshair that is small and very easily visible to have a better view of the opponent and where the bullet go.
-possibility to disable full-auto mod.
-Small range boost/reduced dammage dropoff from 20 meters to 23 to compete with SMG's.
-fan fire nerf : now it only applies when hitting headshots from the hip.
-fan fire rework : instead of boosting accuracy to negate bloom and make it super inconsistent, (1st shot is different of 2nd, 3rd and 4th, and potentially stupid if you reset the bloom and shoot with 4 stacks of fan fire it will hit because of the ton of aim assist the perk gives) it now negate the bloom of the next shots after a headshot and reduce the flinch caused to the gun (pairs with custom crosshair that doesn't spread when fired with the perk active).
-catalyst : Shin legacy : After 2 headshots in a row on the same target and from the hip, the next shot has a slightly better range and dammage (same than luna's howl but hipfire and stats modified for the last word) so you can fight at mid range if you fire very slowly and get rewarded for precision while not being overpowered.
Honestly, you're the only player I've seen other than Cammy who can use this thing on MnK. I'm not elite or anything, but I'm fairly above avg and sit within the top 2% of the playlist I spend time in. I love hand canons and side arms. I love weapons with good hipfire. TLW feels like I'm shooting the tiniest bullets of all time though.
if youve played a lot of CS and valorant, TLW isn't too bad to use in my experience.

I love that weapon but given the current meta I moved to Le Monarch. TLW really could use a Catalyst I came up with one that isn't too op.
Trick Shot: For every 2 crits launches a magic bullet at the closest combatant. As well as maxing out handling and a small nudge to range so it doesn't get out gunned by smgs and side arms like it does all the time!
I really enjoyed the intro to this video. A lot better then someone just looking in their inventory and telling you exactly what their running.

I, use Last Word on K&M as well.
I think it needs a light buff. Something very small.
Like, right now it's perfectly accurate, it just doesn't have any aim assist, which hurts it a TON when you take into account how fast and agile (and in some cases, laggy) players are in this game.
So, if you just give the thing like, the tiniest buff in aim assist, so it's better than it is now - but still noticeably worse than controller aim assist, and still requires SIGNIFICANTLY better aim than pretty much any other gun.. well, the consistency improvement will be insane.
The tiniest increase in aim assist could be game changing for this thing on K&M for players that really love it. Even a 1% difference would matter, really. Or like, a +5 to the literal aim assist stat.
It needs to be something small, too, because I don't want the gun to become overpowered. Just reasonably consistent in some situations where it just fails compared to the competition, without a full-on build to make it feel decent.
Because don't get me wrong, in a normal duel and such I have no problem destroying people with this thing, even when I'm hitting headshots for like 45 damage. But when they're moving around really fast, or barely laggy enough to be a bit jump-y/teleport-y, well, suddenly I'm crutching on bodyshots. Especially if I'm also taking flinch. And if that happens to be against something like a sidearm or SMG? I just have to hope I can disengage, no matter how good my aim is. With a gun that's supposed to fit the same TTK/effective range role as them.
Regardless though, the only reason I don't use this thing more than I do is because I'm am abysmally trash at sniping.
Like, I'm not kidding when I say that I have near perfect hipfire aim, but my aim gets significantly worse ADS, and just gets exponentially worse the higher the scope's zoom is. Enough that aim assist cheese can not save it. (Like, I land more headshots with Beloved (w/o moving target) than I do with an opening shot mechabre.)
The one gun that has shorter range then most sidearms in the game and it literally struggles to beat them in 1V1's because of the nerf. I really wish Bungie would of left it alone and then released all the buffs they intended for next season and lightfall first then if it was an issue come in and adjust it. Like Linears got untouched for so long but Last Word spiked in popularity for like one month and was smacked right back down to bitch status.

My "build" for the longest time has just been lucky pants, weighted knife and swapping between Ace and the last word. Yes I know lucky pants has no synergy with ace I just think it looks cool.

When solar 3.0 came out I was using last word with stompees and the acrobats dodge to make me radiant with a weighted throwing knife to also get radiant and I was destroying I was amazed with the 76 headshot dama with last word

potential warlock version of this? stasis warlock and bonus damage with kinetic damage to frozen enemy fragment, freeze everyone with osiomancy and that's it, idk if this would be effective at all, but I feel it would be good at freezing, because of iceflare bolts and the melee, and the bonus damage fragment on this gun would be really good, it only effects primaries not special, so potentially could be fun, could not be, but it might help you move this build over to another class if you're feeling warlock one day and also last word(all around, they heard tales of your draw, they are frozen, IN FEAR), anyways awesome build, it will make me feel like a dynamite slinging cowboy and I could not be happier

I've been using Last Word on my Titan with Lion Rampants on void forn an overshield before going into air, and or with Antaeus Wards on Arc with frontal shield, shit gets nasty. And on my Warlock I've been using Last Word with Ophidian Aspects, which is really good, and so far with both Titan and Warlock, it's been a much more enjoyable experience with Last Word then on my hunter imo. Hunter needs an arm exotic based solely on hip fire accuracy and weapon reload speed, like straight up an exotic made just for Last Word, and then give Last Word it's long deserved catalyst that imo should increase mag size, grant radiant aswell as reduced weapon recoil on precision hits, and allow for aim down sights shots to fire two explosive rounds bullets at a time to make up for the horrendous recoil when aiming down sights. That would be so fun.
See the Chaperone is still the best sniper in the Destiny universe. hahahaha

Hey now this is my default setup for PvE too lol. Lucky Pants gives you a killer damage buff on hand cannons and the RPM on TLW allows you to down a spider tank in seconds. Still have yet to run it in PVP I can't seemt I hit anyone with TLW and it's sad..

cannot believe that hunters have faster weapon ready speed than an ophidian aspect worlock using the same gun. One is an EXOTIC and one is just built into the class.
Now why is it i need an exotic to copy what the hunter gets for free but still isnt even as good as hunters. Just another 3.0 subclass nerf for the worlock proving that they got the shortest end of the stick.

Last word is one of my most used weapons, however as of recent it's just not that good, it's alright if you use it with a pulse but eh, double primary kinda boring to me.
