- 1980 Training filmstrip for the HydroVac brake booster system used on GM's large medium duty and school busses.
This system uses a conventional master cylinder to operate dual vacuum boosters with brake hydraulic pressure. Neat!
This laserdisc is in poor condition. If I ever get another player I'll try reading it again.
Ok, I need to compliment who put this video on here. I actually used to to repair my c70 Chevy. Love, love, love the video and help! My brakes now work like a charm!
Great stuff. I am doing research to understand how to either rebuild or update (dual circuit) the brake system on my '62 Ford F600. Seems the hydrovac system was an industry standard, even for the parallel system in school buses. Thanks for posting!

Awesome old video on the Hydrovac but unfortunately this video did not completely show the rebuild part . Hopefully you can re upload this one of these days with out any flaws , thank you .
I've got a line on some better / older players so hopefully I can get a better copy!

What would cause brake fluid to be sucked back into the vacuum line to the intake? Gurgling sounds under the seat in air filter when stepping on brake pedal?
Which laserdisc player did you initially transfer this with?
I only have one player, a Sony MDP-1100.
help my 66 c60 s master cylinder is bad (i think ) it has a clutch bore of 1 1/8 but the brake is 1 1/4 ???? i cannot find it any where ! Can i go to a dual 1 1/8 or a dual 1 1/4 cylinder?? i can find these even one with a 1 1/2 brake with 1 1/8 clutch
