Nothing like an old vintage knife to bring back memories of sitting on the porch eating apples with my Grandfather. I still carry his Old Timer pocket knife.

I once had a pocket knife similar to the backlock knife. It was from the Robert Kaas knife company. It served me well for many years, especially during my time as a fireman, until it was too worn down. Then I switched back to Victorinox.

Another interesting video. The leather work from yourself and the viewer was amazing. I must not go down the rabbit hole again , but I'm holding a like new 35yr old DE Imperial stockman, a 1938 blue bone cub scout knife and a 60yr old craftman stockman - probably Ulster. Well done George !

Black Super glue can be used to fill in those nicks and cuts in that old timer scales, then use fine sand paper to smooth it out and then re cut the lines with a razor blade.
Do a Search for "Stewart MacDonald 20 Black Medium Super Glue (cyamoacrylate) I have used it many times to repair bite holes in old Tobacco Pipe bits and stems. Give it a try.

Those are a couple of good old knives, as The Knife Doctor says, "Sometimes You Just Have To Let ban Old Knife Be An Old Knife" so those dings in the Handles are just character marks and part of the Patina of the knife.
