Alright, I did not see this one coming, but in the end, it all worked out just fine. It's always a great thing to get free bees from a swarm trap, but to have multiple heart palpitations while retrieving the bees is quite unexpected. I hope you enjoy following along the roller coaster ride these bees gave me. Thanks for watching. See you all in Quincy, Illinois in a few days. God's peace to all.
Mr. Ed
Good morning, Mr. Ed, I really enjoyed this one!!! Very entertaining ! I perdit this one will go viral for you! Have a wonderful weekend.
P.S. wifey wants to see closeups of your wall quilt! Mrs. Mona Horchoff is very talented....
Tell your wife I'll bee doing a follow up video on the wall quilt, you would not believe just how many people have asked about it. Stay tuned, I'll do it VERY soon. Oh yes, I hope you are correct about the video going viral, that would be SWEET!!! Thanks for watching. God's peace Doc.

A curve ball removal for sure, but in the end, it all worked out. Thank you so much for your blessings and for watching. Until the next one, God's peace Garry.

Fascinating!!!
I hate it when they festooned so much, then drop off in clumps 😂 on me, under a crawlspace, etc. Have a blessed day. Splitting swarms, you the man.
I know that feeling very well. Fortunately, it does not happen all that often. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. Until the next one, God's peace brother.

Hi Mr. Ed. I'm not a beekeeper but a good neighbor to one, I hope. Call me a beekeeper supporter. I grow as many wildflowers as the town will allow (yes that is sarcasm as they aren't bee and herb friendly...just don't know any better...yet?). I really enjoy your videos and it helps me understand what is going on. I love the part where you find the queen. You sure are brave! Keep 'em coming. ❤
In my book, it matters not that you keep bees. What is important is because bees are essential to our very survival, we all take steps in making sure they have the means to keep doing what they do. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Jacki.

I DID IT, I FINALLY DIIID ITT!!
it's always like a spot the find (or spot the queen) but I seen her right off.
It kinda shocked me when that whole blob of bees fell to the ground, and it was the coolest thing ever to watch the bee vac up close, I can't believe how amazing they are!
It finally paid off then. All that time watching and you spotted the queen all by yourself, congratulations! Thanks for watching. God's peace Melanie.

I thought about being a beekeeper, but I have a possible allergy, a 3 story apartment suite with no balcony or patio, and the landlords would probably say no
Hey Mr. Ed. Nice Video. Really enjoying watching your material. Whenever I catch a swarm, I move them in a Box at least 2 km far away from the point I catched them. Keep going and I wisj xou a lt of honey and wax. Greetings from Germany
It's always a good idea to move the swarm a good distance from the place of capture, that way they will not return to it. My rule of thumb is a little less than yours, I move them at least 3 miles from the capture place. I hope you get a lot of honey and wax this year as well. Thanks for watching. God's peace Marcel.

I have never had any luck caging a queen in a hive with a swarm. I now always release her and he put a queen excluder on the entrance.
I would have to say your method is a very good one, there's no way she's coming out of of the box with that in front of it. I have found it best when dealing with a new swarm, lock the queen up for 3 days and let the workers get things sorted out making things ready for her. Thanks for watching. God's peace.

Aw I feel bad for the bees. They worked hard to make those 2 combs, they deserve to have them back.

Great video I learned a lot. Thanks for sharing.
Well played, Mr. Ed. That was quite a curveball and you knocked it out of the part. Great footage along the way.
You're having a positive effect on me. I used to freak out inside when a bee came anywhere near me. Even ran a couple of times. Today, a bee flew into the car when we were parked . I calmly watched as it buzzed on through and out the other window. Big step for me! I'm not at the point to be near a big ole pile of bees on the ground.😆
You are not alone when you say watching bee videos helps overcome our natural fear tendencies. Congratulations on your making advances in overcoming your fear of bees, keep at it. God's peace Helen.

Had my mentor and others visit my apiary in the trees yesterday. It was hot and humid, 88 degrees, 88% humidity. We sat under the trees listening to bees. It's 69 degrees @ 4am now and the frogs in the swamp are really croaking quite loudly. It is pretty quiet besides the frogs and I can also hear some Loons from nearby Squam Lake calling their lonesome sounding calls. But down south it's the honey house! About a week ago I caught a swarm in the process of leaving the hive, so I ran out to watch the landing board. In less than a minute the queen came out and I grabbed her! It took awhile but the bees that had been collecting about 70 feet up in a tree took to the air and came back down and landed on a "swarm branch" that I baited with 'Temp Queen'. It was an easy shake to get them into a box then into the nuc where I had placed the queen, so cool. I posted it, th-cam.com/users/shortsMNy2AjCsWrM?feature=share. Always a pleasure Jeff, thanks for sharing, peace.
On a swarm the old timer keep saying if you bang 🔔🛠️ any metal to make a loud noise… the swarm will landed 🛬 to the near tree object they passing by…
Great video,
Goodness Jeff, what the heck with all those bees! Wonderful how you remain calm and do your best to second guess those ladies who, of course, have the last word!
Congrats on getting 2 swarms from 1 group of bees! I dont think that happens very often so I know you were excited and happy!🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

I am delighted to hear you enjoyed the video so much. I post these videos, to show just how important bees are to our very survival, and why we should not just kill them out of ignorance. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. Wow so awesome! I stopped watching tv to see you handle both swarm. I'm so interested in handling bee's. I had found a lost swarm. I would look after everyday until one day someine killed them while i was at work. How i miss them.
What a tragedy to hear someone killed the swarm, in my opinion, that is totally senseless as the world needs all the bees it can get to help feed us. Who knows, maybe one day you may even consider becoming a beekeeper yourself and learn the joys of keeping bees, I certainly hope so. I had a similar swarm this year. Didn't matter how many times I scooped them up or locked them in, they went back to the same branch. They faded away over a few weeks and I finally did a combine with another hive when their queen disappeared.

By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Michael.
Mr. Ed
It sounds bad when you say vacuum them up but it really is pretty gentle. I did love the close up showing the bees and how gentle it was. You havd twice the work but twice the results, though. Really enjoyed watching this.
Thank you for being such a happy person.
My faith makes me who I am, and I'm more than happy to share the joy that is inside of me. Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to watch the video. Also, I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace David.
