I really doubt the chiefs were even trying all that hard to be honest. They have a near perfect record and would have obviously clinched the conference either way this game went. They'll probably play pretty lazy next week too. Wouldn't even surprise me if they pull Mahomes out. Best believe they're saving their best plays for the playoffs. They were obviously trying to win this game, but I feel like they would have won it by much more if the surrounding situations were different and their spot in the playoffs was in question. What would they really be trying to prove by playing a 4-10 team, using their best strategy, and blowing them out? When they are 13-1 and have a chunk of contenders watching and studying them in every aspect, for when they might possibly have to face them in the post season. Andy Reid is not a dumb coach, at all. Okay, I'm not even halfway through watching the highlights, and I can tell you right now that the Atlanta Falcons did the Kansas City Chiefs a big favor with that hot start. I think that it woke them up and I noticed right after the Falcons hot start, it was Kansas City that was hitting a little harder, a little bit quicker, and so on. This is good preparation for the playoffs!

I think that it woke them up and I noticed right after the Falcons hot start, it was Kansas City that was hitting a little harder, a little bit quicker, and so on. Andy Reid said it in an interview a few weeks back. Earlier in his career he would draw up a bunch of crazy plays and then use them all throughout the regular season, by the time his teams would make the playoffs his opponents had film on some of the things he liked to do and it ended up being his demise. actually enjoyed this game more than any other this season. stifled the best offense and best QB in football for the whole game, almost won it with Terrell almost getting the pick, had a chance to take it to OT, but ultimately got the best result for the future by not spoiling the draft position.
