One of the greatest playoff games in history. I'm a Bills fan but this was insane to watch. I don't think we've seen a QB battle like this since Peyton and Brady. This was historically elite quarterbacking from both QBs. The NFL needed this since we haven't had a consistently elite QB rivalry since colts/patriots.

As a bills fan, this makes me sick to watch but to be fair, it was probably the greatest football game of all time.
I get sick to my stomach watching this. It's just so heartbreaking, we had the game won. Coach should have went with what worked on defense when we did stop them and made KC punt.

@@TheGoodChap I was fortunate to be able to go to both this past season. While I preferred the Week 5 game for obvious reasons I still didn’t feel very upset with the outcome of the divisional round game. Both teams played like a there lives depended on it.

The overtime rule sucks. Correctly if I'm wrong, but Buffalo didn't even get the ball. Why not just make it an extra 15 minutes. Dunno what to do if tied after that.
Over a year later and I am still revisiting the highlights to this game. I was there in the stands that day. From start to finish the atmosphere in Arrowhead was electric! I remember when it came down to the final 13 seconds of regulation that all the Chiefs fans had paused and began to waver. Some even accepted defeat and started to leave. My friends and I decided that we would stick it out and see what would happen. It seemed to be a foolish hope that they could somehow win it, but it was a hope nonetheless. Still, there was no way anybody could have predicted what happened next. None of us in the stands could believe the game we had just witnessed. Even though my team won, many other Chiefs fans and I held nothing but respect for the Bills fans there. Even though they were heartbroken, they congratulated our team for the hard fought win. It was nothing but complete mutual respect and admiration between both fanbases and their teams. Easily one of the greatest games of all time in the NFL and by far the greatest one I ever attended! Will never forget the night and the experience!

I took my dad to the game for his 41st birthday and let me tell you, this game is definitely gonna be a memory I can look back in 10 years and be grateful we got to experience it together. Best game I’ve ever seen and I’ve been to a lot of chiefs game.

The drama is already built in, the storyline keeps growing, and it’s always a close game. It’s the best rivalry in football. Mahomes-Allen are 2 future HOF’ers. It's no fun to see two strong offenses and only one gets to take the field to decide it. It should go back and forth until someone fails to match. I.e. the cointoss has TOO MUCH bearing on the outcome of the game.

watching this after the Chiefs beat the Bengals in 2023, I think these are literally the two greatest games from a quarterback ever. Seeing Mahomes as injured as he was last night and then watching how lethal he is when he scrambles here against the Bills, I just pray he gets healthy for the Superbowl because he's just too fun to watch. Mahomes is the Michael Jordan of football, no question.
Michael Jordan wasn't mediocre to above average in his first 3 NBA Finals though. I like Mahomes but,if you look at his overall Super Bowl stats,5tds 4 Ints. He's mediocre to above average. Just like Peyton Manning was in his Super Bowls.
This game was equally as impressive for Josh Allen. Turned him into the Madden cover boy & made him a megastar. Even though his defense folded in the end, they both had legendary performances.

@traplordghost what you’re doing is like someone telling you “it’s unlikely that you win the lottery” and you say back “all of the lottery winners say otherwise.”
Obviously overtime is significantly more in control of the players, but the fact remains that getting the ball when your opponent’s defense is completely gassed with a chance to win it on a touchdown is a HUGE advantage. The bengals winning, while great to watch, doesn’t change that.
While a good number of teams have been able to fight back in the regular season across nfl history, in the playoffs where these things matter much more, what the bengals did has only happened less than a quarter of the time. It’s not a fair rule.

Well, i certainly hope there's better defense on display in the SB. I like electric offense as much as anyone, but there's something to be said for contested catches and hard yards gained on the ground, not a constant reel of blown coverages and missed tackles.

As a Bills fan, it was the greatest football game I've ever seen. Still upset the defense couldn't hold them with 13 seconds left but you have to give credit to the Chiefs for making it down field. Only complaint is that with the OT rules and not even giving the Bills a chance with the ball. Rules are rules but we lost on a coin toss. Unbelievable game.
Remember it was said Allen didn't want to even lose the coin toss? We should've been paying more attention to that!
Don't forget, in 2019 the Chiefs proposed a change in the OT rules after they experienced this exact thing in the NE game. Rules change was shot down. Great game either way!
As a Chiefs fan, I understand your pain. Same thing happened to us in the 2018 AFC Championship. Coin toss gave Tom Brady the ball at OT and that was it. Props to your boys though. Josh Allen is a stud and he'll definitely get y'all a ring or two by the end of his career.

I can’t imagine how stressed the fans for each of these teams were.
For me, Cheifs fan, I was like "oh my god.." in a speechless worried manner after Tyreek scored that long TD because I felt that Buffalo would seal the game with no more time for us to hit back. But we got 3 points in 13 seconds!! I cried at the conclusion of the game.

I absolutely love watching Josh Allen play football. He has all the tools a superstar qb needs. Size, arm strength, working thepocket, extends plat, tough to tackle etc... But what separates him from the rest is his grit and determination. I know Allen will give you everything he has on every single play hes involved in. Mad respect for a guy who leaves it all on the field and this is coming from a die hard lifetime Patriots fan

Man... I’ll be honest, I was in rehab while I watched this game and two Kansas City natives stormed out of the room before OT and I went nuts after Kelce completed the pass and Butker knocked down that field goal. Long story short my KC buddies came back to watch the glory unfold
And so the new era of quarterbacks began this weekend. I've seen some great QB rivalries, especially Brady vs Manning, but when you look at how both guys plays, this might be overall the best quarterbacking I've ever seen in one single game. I hope these guys play again next year in the post season

The 4 wildest game ending post season ever. Thought Niners win was the craziest I had ever seen, but then I watched Bengals win and I was blown away even more. Thought it cant better than this... but little did I know that I would get an ever crazier game when the Rams won and topping that must be impossible, but the Bills and Chiefs did the impossible.

This is the first time the Bills have been good enough to win the Super since I’ve been alive (I was born in 1994), besides maybe the 99’ Bills. This was an incredible game. Shout out to Mahomes. This recap is basically a highlight reel on acid. Kelce, Gabe Davis, Mahomes and Allen were making explosive plays on every other down-some of them seem impossible.When i saw it i thought it was the greatest game in NFL history,and i stand by that.
I love this. The Buffalo Bills were super respectful and so were the Chiefs. Both communities are pretty chill too. This is the type of rivalry that's actually fun to participate in. Everyone is a good sport but still rep their team. One of the best games in the history of NFL. Go Chiefs, and Bills!!
