- I know it took me a while to finally get to it, but as promised here is the video that I told you guys I would give you. Jujutsu Kaisen: Yuji Itadori - Who Did It Better? SH Figuarts or Figma (Good Smile Company)? In this video I’ll make sure to go over in as much detail as possible the pros and cons of each of these action figures. Personally I think both of them are really great and are more than worthy of being added to any collection, but I understand that some people can’t buy every release. I truly hope that this video will help whoever is in need of making a decision. I tried my hardest to cover everything and I believe that I did so effectively. Of course if you have any questions left feel free to leave them in the comments because I don’t mind as long as they are not rude. Sh Figuarts Is without a doubt one of my favorite action figure companies, but in this case I do believe that Figma Gave them a run for their money. Being that I am such a big fan of Jujutsu Kaisen There was no way that I could go without both. For those of you trying to make a choice, here is the video for you. That’s how it usually is between figma and s.h. They even made a whole line of sailor moon figures based off the anime colors because of this
The articulation, accessories, and overall sleekness definitely goes to Figma but it's interesting looking back at this seeing how hard Figma flopped against S.H. Figuarts for Chainsaw Man.
what exactly makes you say this? im trying to decide between SH/figma for chainsaw man specifically but im not into the figure game enough to tell subtle differences

I hated the figma from the moment I saw it. INSANELY Soft sculpt hurts for a carachter like this and the articulation is way uglier all around,and even if I doubt the range is limited to what thw promo picks it looks far more unnatural. The accesories are better ... Thats it. You get some Denji heads with a hair color and faces that are way off,pochita wich i guess is neat,a preorder bonus thats a literal piece of breadand an axe that no ones ever gonna display him with. The colors are also super desaturated for no reason. Im not a figma hater in fact I will day their Yuji is probably a bit better here,but the thing is that one had promo pics that looked good.
And I mean the price difference is almost 50. You can get the Figuarts and then another SHF and it adds up to what the figma costs.

I like how the SHF version is a bit more buff, makes it more accurate imo, since Yuji demonstrated enormous physical strength in the early chapters

I think both complete each other, you can pose SHF for extreme and fight poses and Figma goes for the joke and cute side of Yuji
SHF's shoes looks so goooooood!! Sculpt is detailed compared to figma's.
Love the SHF and was pretty sure I’d skip out on the figma, but after seeing this might end up coping for my collection. Can’t get enough of that JJK GREATNESS 😤🙏🏾

One thing why I'm not afraid playing with SHF figures is because of the artculation and the price, they're not as expensive as Figmas. I also noticed a change in skin color for SHF figures recently they don't look like they got jaundice anymore compared to Figma who is very consistent on giving their figures a jaundice lol
I got them both, bro. I have to admit that I do like the SHF the best. Honestly, I believe that Jujutsu Kaisen is the best action figure line that I have sampled from both companies. I haven't tried many but I enjoyed the JK so much that I bought the entire line! And they are cheaper too!

I don't think I'll get the figma version of Itadori, mainly because of the joints. but I think I might get figma fushiguro just because of the unhinged face expression, unless bandai decided to release another version of him.
The SHF was so good for the price, and I already have the 4 main JJK chars in SHF. But the PO bonus finger got me to order the Figma.

I feel like shf was going for a more manga look while figma was more towards the anime
for me i cant get over how nice the skin tone is on the SHF one. After seeing that, i couldnt bring myself to get the Figma one even though i collect mostly Figma figures. I ended up got the SHF and I never regretted it! He looked so cool if u sit him down on the Game of Thrones throne with the evil Sukuna face, looking down on everyone

Something worth mentioning, SHF and figma are not in the 6inch scale, SHF uses the 1:12 scale (generally) which is not the same as 6 inches and figma is in their own scale which is slightly below 1:12

After owning both, I feel like SHF is better. It feels more solid.
The articulation is more thorough on the SHF as to Figma's, it gets broken up in the elbows and knees. SHF's only flaw is the the ab crunch. It can't crunch forward as like Figma's can. But Figma's has several flaws. The Figma's neck articulation is limited as it can't look up. The Figma's thigh swivel limited because its hindered at the crotch, that also causes the whole leg to pop off too. Which I had the exact same problem with mine. It took me over 15 minutes trying to pop the leg back on. Figma's wrist joints are limited too because its a peg, to ball joint, to peg. As to SHF its a peg, to ball joint, to ball peg. So you have all around movement at the wrist. Figma's does not. Also in terms of articulation, Figma's full elbow joint was missed again in this comparison video and review video. Figma's elbow is actually double jointed, which it can bend all the way up. Its design/system is (from the shoulder down) peg, to ball joint, to ball peg. The ball peg is hidden inside the forearm. So when you move both it bends all the way up. Which it bends in a bit more than SHF's. Appearance wise, Figma's does look more anime like than SHF. Figma is famous for its anime accurate appearance in their figures. But the flesh tone on the Figma's is off or wrong as the SHF's is a lot more accurate. For accessories Figma's has a lot more accessories due to the amount of hands and black flash effect part. And that seems to be it. I feel like SHF's is indeed a lot more balanced in articulation and appearance compared to Figma's.
I wanted the SHF but I only found Figma on sale for $58. I was hesitant at first, but this video made me go for the figma.

It's a tough choice. I like the sleekness of the Figma but I really also like how tall the SHF is and his hair color.

I have neither, so I'm basing my opinion on what was shown in this video.
For me, if I had to pick one figure, it would go to Figma.
The accessories are better, the face for Sukuna is better on figma, and the uniform seems less bulky.
Articulation and stability tho go to SHF.
I would display the Figma, and I would use stop motion with SHF.
(The Sukuna face on figma I like more, because I can do alot with that, but with SHF there's only so many poses I can do when he's looking down. Which is why I have a problem with that. If he came with another face of him looking forward, this would go to SHF.)
(I also like the less bulky build due to Yuji still being a teenager, so the skinnier build looks more appealing to me)

I would say the figuarts figure itself is better, but figmas accessories are completely superior, even just including a stand for him adds so much, I’m shocked figuarts just didn’t include one for him.

I agree that figma looks more pleasing in terms of asthetics. However, SHF is basically just MORE fun and durable. Time will tell, and though alot of people kept emphasizing buying both I am quite sure 2024 will I see people saying SHF is better
Man, I just wish SHF had the smiling face, as a manga reader I wish that I'd have the smiling Yuji for the Pre-Shibuya arc look.

I think the only plus the figma has is the effects. I think the Figuarts fits what I visualize how Yuji should look much better.
Yuji is canonically 5'8ft tall and in 6 inch scale or 1/12 scale that would be 5.8 inches the figma is 5.9 inches tall so I would give figma the point for scale over the shf.
Yea that’s true for absolute true scale, but also, lots of lines scale a bit bigger and I think SHF are kind of increasing their scale slightly as well.
3:30 shf is based off mana and he has a slightly bigger build, and in the cover appearance he has darker appearance

Now that you mentioned the eyes I think that what I love on the figma, looks more lifely. I have all 4 shfs but I may just go for the figmas
I don’t really understand the issue with figma tbh I haven’t had any issues in recent years maybe a leg falls off 1 time then never again but other than that they are fine
Both have anime accurate hair itadori has pink hair in the first few episodes of the series but later on he gets the brownish hair

My biggest complaint about the shfiguarts is the face, but overall, everything else is fine.
SHF is definitely better. I also have the figma. Honestly, I regret buying the figma. Initially I thought it would be better but in my humble opinion, it is definitely not. The only thing that figma did better than the SHF is that black flash effect. That thing looks great.😊

Just going by first impression, Figuarts looks WAY better. Sharper sculpt, cleaner paint, better proportions, and an overall more solid build.

just finished watching jujutsu kaisen season 1 yesterday, so this is fresh comparison. the figma is definitely more accurate to the anime with the face print and proportion. the SHF feels more like the manga which i'm quickly catching up as well. i think i'm gonna go with the figma on jujutsu kaisen even tho other character might cost a little more.
Now that I look at them, all the SHF figures have large hands haha.

When it comes to the articulation, the shf is clear winner here.
Got both and I double down on what I said last video, Figma all the way. The sculpt is overall better; hair, faces, effects, which in the end makes the figure more accurate and therefore aesthetically superior. You also get more accessories which is a big plus. I liked the SHF but I can't look at it the same now that I have the Figma in hand. This is all my opinion of course.
Also, the rest of the Figma to be released look better as well; everything I said about Yuji seems to hold true for Gojo, while Megumi and Nobara just come with a lot more stuff like the much needed Shikigami. Sadly I think I´ll be selling all my SHFs once Nobara comes out in may.

The heights are accurate …yuji is about 173cm tall and megumi is about 178cm tall along with yuta beimg Around the same height as megumi

I'll definetly get just the Figma. deal breaker is the faces in the SHF are off (Except maybe the screaming one) and look funny for me and he's too bulky and glossy, the skin tone is the one thing I liked waaay more in the SHF but the hair looks better in Figma and damn those accesories, beautiful in Figma. As someone mentioned before, the perfect figure is the Figmarts... My JJK collection is getting as a combination of both brands anyway jajaja.
