Something I love about the Chinese is they give a pretty fair and well balanced opinion about others. Even if it’s not necessarily something you want to hear.
*List of Topics Discussed:* 1. When you think of the US, what comes to mind first? 2.When you think of Americans, what comes to mind first? 3. What personality traits do you like about Americans? 4. What personality traits do you dislike about Americans? 5. Do you follow any American celebrity? 6. In what areas does the US excel the most? 7. What does Americans do that makes many in the world dislike them? 8. Are you following the US presidential election? 9. Who do you think will become president?
These people are spot on. If anything America is far worse than what these people imagine. From the horrific violence and threat of violence towards people of other races (Asians, Chinese, Indian, Muslims, Arabs, Black, African, Latino) it is the most racist country on earth. Not to mention they wage brutal and genocidal wars on others who try to go against their economic or military systems. The information propaganda is the worst, they paint every other nation as "non democratic" as a way to later then instigate war against them. Everything they say is true about the divide between rich and poor, everyone is worked to the bone to the point no one has any time to care about anyone else. This is even worse for immigrants who basically have little rights and are threatened by their employers and colleagues by being fired and losing their visa then being deported. It is hell on earth!!!
Great video again Eileen. Could you please consider doing a video about Chinese work culture in comparison to Western American/European work culture and what are the differences? Love your channel ❤
Great interview. I disagree with the lady that said we call our parents or grandparents by their first names, I would never call my parents or grandparents by their first name

I thought the impressions and insights of the people you interviewed were very insightful. Americans have a bias towards Chinese news and how media is censored in China. However, after watching this video I feel the Chinese people are very well informed. In fact, the Chinese media may be even less biased than our own.
In Chinese, we say 华裔huá yì, who are Chinese in blood(their ancestors are from China) but don't have China nationality; 华侨huá qiáo, who are Chinese citizen but living abroad for a long time; 华人huá rén, a general appellation of all Chinese, devided into 海内华人hǎi nèi huá rén(Chinese at home) and 海外华人hǎi wài huá rén(Chinese overseas)
Great interview, but they need to understand more about America, in order to do so, travel abroad more often to those countries that have google and Meta just a few.
Exactly! Their views would mostly more biased than these Chinese interviewed! Western MSM demolished China so much more than Chinese media does i am 100 % sure!
She should do an interview about What Chinese think about Jesus Christ and Salvation, and how that influenced the election. He the real reason behind everything, not how Trump can dance or get shot at.
As a retired US Naval Vet of 30 years, let me just state for the record, that the US DOES instigate wars, overthrow governments (indirectly) and create chaos around the world for military, political and financial gain. However, having said that, not all conflicts are created or instigated by us. Many times there is internal strife and the current government asks for our help because we are either allies or to help stabalize the economy. There are many misconceptions about the US. While the US is in no way perfect, is lacking in many areas, we do have many decent aspects as well. The Media (US and international) tend to either sensationalize or exagerate many things. So much so that even many of our own citizens can't tell whats true or not. So when people make broad sweeping statements, one must first understand that perception is relative, even within ones own country. When making assumptions or forming opinions based solely on limited information one is ALWAYS bound to wrong in many aspects.
Unsurprisingly you do the whole "invade or overthrow" thing a few dozen times that's what you get known for, no matter how altruistic you think helping a dictator is when he asks.
I agree. Americans are not all bad, just as the Chinese are not all bad. But the Chinese respect other nations, while the Americans do not. The Chinese do not invade other countries (at least, not since 1979), while the Americans do. The Chinese don't weaponize their currency to punish other countries with sanctions. The Chinese don't demonize the Americans with lies about genocide, forced labor, concentration camps, and so on. The Chinese don't interfere in the internal politics of Hawaii, California, or Texas to try to encourage secession. The Chinese don't risk World War III or nuclear war by fighting a proxy war in Ukraine. None of this is sensationalized nor exaggerated. It's just the truth. But I like the American people. In person, they tend to be friendly and hospitable and generous. They produce great entertainment like movies, music and television. And I deeply sympathize with them because their government neglects them by allowing homelessness, gun violence, poor health care, etc. I sympathize with their war vets who deserve much better for their service. I wish the Americans the best, but I'm not optimistic because of their politics. Sorry, I have to call it as I see it.
Agreed with the above. Also: The US have military bases all around the world in places so far away from them, basically threatening everybody. The US meddling in elections around the world. It's quite funny when something happens in the election of your country, the you watch the exact something happens in US' election, and then, your friend from another country also says it happened in their election! The US citizens are usually kind, but so damn brainwashed. And they insist that it's other people who are brainwashed 😅 I know this first hand because I grew up idolizing American cultures and values, only waking up to the truth after I saw the world. Oh, and I agree that not all conflicts is initiated by the US, but they're usually sweeping in swiftly to take advantages of such conflict and make it 100 times worse, which is hardly honorable, don't you think? I don't agree with what you say about medias portraying the US in a negative way. It's the other way around, in my country. Even the US' involvement in the worst times in our history is completely erased and is never taught at school. To this day, the medias are just reporting neutrally about the US, unlike how they're reporting on China.
It’s good to hear some of these interviews! I am a Chinese American, it is interesting to hear such positive and idealized impressions of Americans! Their words almost have the tone of the grass is greener on the other-side. I would just want to mention on infrastructure- China is # 1 ! Anywhere from bullet trains, subway system, EV cars, bikes to bridges built are all so much more superior. Your interviewees should recognize that!
I'm shocked they think us education and TRANSPORTATION is better 😂LMAOOOO wait til you go from riding your fancy new affordable high speed bullet trains and metros to..... dirty old nyc metro at best
You will never hear any of this from the mainstream media, but the US has undergone a quiet coup by socialist forces and they are doing everything they can to destroy the US and this has been going on for a very long time. There is a master plan in place for the whole earth known as the New World Order.
There are many truths regarding various matters that are being withheld from the American people just as they are from the Chinese people. The only difference right now is that the Americans know what is happening and are trying to inform others and change it.
I love the comments about the US starting wars. Pardon me: The only countries currently at war are Iran, Russia, and North Korea, and they ALL started it. Kindly reminder that all of these countries have the backing and support of the "no limits friendship" of the C.C.P.
you can only say this now that the war in Afghanistan ended. the united stated had been in perpetual war since the Korean war basically. the united states had been at war literally my entire life until they pulled out of Afghanistan. the united states invaded all of these countries btw.

Somehow I feel like our opinions would be less positive if you did this interview in the USA...
They have a good point about us stirring up trouble abroad 😅 a lot of us Americans are very tired of that.
Really? Who is waging war right now? Russia, North Korea, Iran, all supported by China, THAT'S who.
