That was a lot of fun to watch. Brought back a lot of memories. I spent a lot time in Santa Cruz during my high school days. Building bonfires on the beach, kegger parties and a lot of time playing games and riding rides. Good times! Thanks Eldon.
@@Eldons_Excursions2 previous rollercoasters that were on the top deck platform before the Undertow were the JETSTAR and HURRICANE. Laffing Sal is a weirdo. Creepy feature
What a fun day! Loved the beach and sunset, always my favorites❤️Downtown was really cool, there’s so many places to check out there. As far as your interview, just know that you did your best😊What is meant to be, will be! No matter what the outcome is, just keep smiling bright and always stay positive✨
Night time is also a good time to be there. The lights are fun to check em shine on the boardwalk but you gotta make sure to bundle up at night and wear clothes to keep you warm because of the beach. They show movies at dusk on the beach
My wife and I will be there in may to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary along with the giant dippers 100th anniversary. We were married on May 16th flew to Ohio and road our first coaster as a married couple. I'm hoping the boardwalk will help me surprise my wife with an announcement in the station and flowers when we return back. Hope to see you there 🤩🤩
My old stomping grounds. Brought back memories. My sister used to live in Santa Cruz. I used to stay there all summer. love the boardwalk! I need to go down there and check it out. Thank you for taking us along .
Most People take for granted where they are lucky to be born. If I were fortunate to live there; I'd always be out and about living. The Mid-West is flat farm land with nothing for hundreds of miles.
I totally agree. I feel like a lot of people in California don't realize how lucky they are they have all these great places within close proximity. Also, to have an ocean right here! It's something I'll never take for granted.
@@Eldons_ExcursionsI ve been there a lot since I was a kid....I m 57 now. I ll keep quoting The Terminator when I leave Santa Cruz I ll be back even in Arnold Schwarzenegger s voice

There used to be a ride known as Rock n Roll right there. Cool to see the wheel testing, really surprised the gates are just wide open. Love Rock o Plane as much as it reminded me I'm not 20 anymore. Major head rush. Pinball... I think you need to take a trip to the Pinball Museum in Alameda, $20 all you can play all day, over 100 machines!
I ❤❤❤❤ the Clam Chowder soup in breadbowls from Fisherman s Wharf on the Pier. Good soup and its good for tourists from out of town to check stuff out in Santa Cruz. Enjoy your time folks before you go back home. I live approximately 3. 3hours and a half from Santa Cruz depending on traffic. Oh the train pulls into the boardwalk to exchange passengers from time to time. Oh yeah Roaring Camp train still runs by there
Good to know! Thanks! I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the train info. I had thought it stopped coming through. Glad to know it still passes through.
Hey Eldon....I think the little coaster replaced what was once called the Wild Mouse. It was the same type of coaster with the tight turns. circa early 70's. There used to be a swimming pool where the mini-golf is.
Yeah! My grandma saw my IG story and said the same thing. It was called "The Plunge". I love history! Wild mouse! That's it. Thanks man! I remember that coaster. I always wanted to ride it but never big enough.
Mmmaaannnnnn i can't remember the last time i went to the boardwalk....maybe like 2017? Lol. I forgot it existed. It's full of bitter sweet memories for me, but maybe I'll go back one of these days. It still looks exactly the same lol Also "bahia" is pronounced "bah-ee-aww". H is silent. It means "the bay" lol

Sounds like you are way over due for a trip to Santa Cruz 😁 I totally forgot to give a review of the cookies haha I was so full from that burger. I had one today. So good! I microwaved it for 15 sec and it was soo good!
Huh, they took down the speedway to make room for the new ferris wheel. Now you can probably see way further from one end to the other. Not sure if I'd like that or not, I just moved from Santa Cruz to Charlotte at the end of February :/
@Eldons_ExcurYes I ll get into the mood to watch em. Sometimes maybe one of the movies after the other one. Maybe I ll watch the other 2 movies the next time I play a double feature. Before that Undertow spinning coaster ride there was THE HURRICANE but they took it down....somebody must ve bought it off from Santa Cruz. I rode the Undertow and a long time ago there was a ride called JetStar. I was fortunate to ride the JetStar
Quick Question: Are you going to be at Hurricane Harbor Concord during this off season to give us a small update like you did in spring 2022? I just recently noticed that one of their slides got taken off the website and it would be cool to see an update if you are still working there.
Pleasure Pizza lol the look on your face 🤣😂 it’s named after the original location in Pleasure Point. It’s a cool little place, you can eat pizza and chill down at the Hook and watch surfing. There’s a pizza place downtown can’t think of the name of it, but they put on a show while you eat. There will be a few people who will spin and toss pizza dough. There’s also Pizza My Heart, you can’t go wrong.

That wheel seems very inadequate for that park. A Chance 90 ft, same one used at Santa Monica (Pacific Wheel), would have been better. Or another Big Eli (original wheel) instead.
Man, I gotta say I'm kind of disappointed with the new ferris wheel. I thought they were gonna go all out with it and do a Mickey Fun Wheel version. I expected it to be a lot bigger as well, and be placed up against the edge of the boardwalk instead of facing inward... The area looks really cluttered now. :/ Also Pleasure Pizza is really good.
