Hi Brandon can you make a video, explaining how to shoot oneself solo with a camera + gorillapod. This is the basic need of every person these days . And what is the importance of sound ?
Thank you for incorporating the ZHIYUN gimbal & lights in this video, Brandon. It's a great honor for us to be a part of the contribution to this brilliant action film.🤩😆
Brandon I can only imagine how difficult a shoot like this can be to pull off... wow man you did an amazing job!!! Always stoked when you release a video 🙌🏻
As a filmmaker myself, i truly admire your affort towards putting this shirt fulm together. Also showing us behind the scenes. I learnt a lot. Thanks. 🙏🏽
This was such an epic project and I totally love the final result and the breakdown in this video. So much value you give here for fellow filmmakers and the movie industry.
Brandon is one in a billion in his ability to break down movie scenes and explain in details how they were shot. That is the mark of a great instructor and teacher. Thanks for the lesson!
I thought Full-Time Filmmakers was the best TH-cam channel for budding filmmakers until I was introduced to Brandon's channel. This is BY FAAR the best TH-cam channel for filmmakers period. This short martial arts action flick you made looks on par with one of Jackie Chan's 2010 modern fight scenes. The fact that you made all that like a certified Hollywood/Hong Kong director with limited resources and gear while at the same time making it look like a high-budget Hollywood production is quite INSANE bro. You are an extremely talented man. Excellent work.
I've watched a ton of film tutorials today and this is by far the most energetic and fun one! Having minimal equipment, thinking on the fly, and to be able to create movie magic is super inspiring. Thank you 🎬✨
Must of been hard to create a script like that. I would love to make a short movie like this. I just cant stop watching and the Idea of Jackie was great!
TO BE Honest you really nailed it. One could only imagine how much hard work it requires to achieve such results. Lots of respect to you and thanks to all who acted in❤
The BGM 1:27 is 🔥 It made the sequence 10x better specifically that beat at 1:35 . Brandon bro, Undoubtedly you and jaccques are the best in this business but the music selection the taste that you have for music makes your video the best than the rest. Lots and lots of love to you man. Love your work.
Stuntmen are under-appreciated. They can make action movies much much better and realistic. Hollywood should have award for best stuntment and stuntwomen...
Simply OUTSTANDING!!! Loved every second of this incredible work, technicality, creativity, the lighting evidence, the whole structure of scene developments, the equipment type and description of their power of use and the overall film performance! Well done!! I felt the emotion at every turn in the short movie. I was convinced! BRILLIANT!!
Brandon, it’s so good seeing you make a short film! I’ve been following your work for a few years now, big inspiration and it’s great to see your skill set used in this way. As always, keep up the great work 🙏
The project was truly remarkable, and I'm absolutely enamored with the final outcome and the detailed breakdown showcased in this video. Your contribution offers immense value to fellow filmmakers and the entire movie industry.
Oh my... I walk into the small street with the famous seafood place and other locations in your shoot so many times since I live in Bangkok. This is so awesome! To me, the chase scene is the most stunning the reason is because I know how busy that street is ... running like that through the traffic is no joke and very dangerous with so many motorcycles, people and stalls on the street. I live here my whole life and I would not do that. I guess it really does make me feel that the real dangerous people are chasing him lol
I cant even put the right words into this brother ! This is amazing and the amount of knowledge it has is infinite ! Thank you bro for that piece of awesomeness !!
Bravo man! Thank you Mr. Brandon, Mr. Renney, and the rest of the actors and crew for sharing this. You've taught us amazing ideas and inspired us a lot!
YEEEES! I love it that you use long steady shots for the fight, following traditional HK action films, and not the modern short shaky hand shots Holywood likes these days. Jackie Chan would approve :)
Yes! Shaky cam is so inappropriate for most scenes. Making a shot look dynamic with good blocking and lighting is more difficult but can so much more memorable if done right.
That was absolutely incredible! The vibe, the energy, the variety of shots! Thank you for not only showing us the gorgeous result but the Behind the Scenes process as well. You did an amazing job - it is one thing to just say I did this and that - and a totally different to explain why and your motivation behind it. It definitely also made me realise what a single one-man-crew can achieve with passion and creativity. Of course, you were not alone, but you managed to make it with a small amount of people. I was wondering while watching (I hope I didn't miss the information) 1) How many nights it took you to film this? I assume 2-3 nights? 2) Sure you had a vision in the first place - however, did you create something like a detailed script or did they ideas mostly pop up spontaneously? Which I think is also legit and might even work for some people better than following a strict script 3) Have you used an RGB Panel for these "Looking at the Phone" - shots? The red colour is pretty bright! Lastly, one more annoying question - have you been shooting at Second Base ISO of 12,800? And do you think for the A7S3 an FE12-24 F2,8GM Lens would do the job? Once again, thank you for that masterpiece!
First class work, I'm just starting in video (stills photographer for 20+ years) and this short is not only shot beautifully but the story is excellent. Love it.
The professional Ron was in an ICONIC fight w Jackie Chan. (The watch fight where he holds his leg straight up in the air and checks his watch. One of my favorite Jackie Chan fight scenes. Salute and respect!
If this is just you with a gimbal, I can only imagine how what your version would like look with a crew behind you. I'm in college for film at the moment and I had so many ideas for grip and rigging with the zhiyun weebill. Great work as always.
This is one of the most comprehensive and entertaining break downs of a production I have ever seen! Great information and SUPER fun to watch! I love how this was presented, and it really showed how creativity, ingenuity and a little bit of daring can make something so small budget feel REALLY premium! EXCELLENT work Brandon! Standout production!
I honestly love the fact that you didnt cut for every strike. I feel like that gives more weight (pardon the pun) to the hits….when choreographed well of course, like this was!!!!
I was expecting to be disappointed by your short bot gunna lie “oh here’s another short film on youtube, expect netflix quality” but was actually blown away. Great homage to the mindless carnage in kill bill with that title. Grwat example of “improvise adapt improve” lol
Excellent stuff Brandon. Good stunties are hard to find but when you find them boy do they make a difference to the production process. Nothing like working with true pros... Bravo!
Ho-ly smokes! Lots and lots and lots of smiles, for the delicious footage, humor, and A-grade believable cinematography. I Can't Believe It Isn't a Steadicam. Thanks for a wonderfully entertaining short.
This is not less then a Hollywood movie, you brought an exact experience, power-packed action and even interesting direction , loved it ❤❤ this is not a one time watch for sure, I'm going to watch it again and again..
This is now my all time favorite BTS video! You describe and showcase your work in such an interesting manner. Hope to see more videos like this in the future!

why didn't he catch her in the small car but instead she kicks him out? while he was already with the target.
Awesome short movie with a very well explained behind the scenes. I am in Bangkok and photographed Ron a few times. Great actor and martial artist.

Absolutely agreed
Very creative. Very budget friendly. With the right story line, this could have been a full movie. I like the run and gun style with the Sony A7III.
Cool to see Brandon stepping out of his comfort zone and trying something new for a change 👏🏾
