2019 RGS 114 w/v&h dresser duals and Tab 4.5 zombies. 1. Loud 2. If i dont go over 2500 rpms 3. Only if you have hertz 6x9s in lids and 6.5 spls in front and moto 600 amp or something comparable, if you don’t you will hear only the sound of hells gates opening letting out the souls of all fallen Harley-Davidsons since 1903! These things are nasty! Finally a company that understands when i say .....”i want LOUD”!
I just installed the 4.5" BAM slipons with zombie inserts. They are loud but no where near deafening, I still have the stock head pipe with cat so that keeps it slightly quieter. I have them on a new 2021 road king special
Just had mine out for the first ride of the season. Over the winter I installed your 2 into 2 headers and 4 1/2” zombies, paired with a 465G S&S cam stage 2. All I can say is, I’m giggling like a school girl and grinning like a Cheshire Cat while riding!! Thank you Tab for making my bike awesome (in my opinion). With this set up there will probably be the need for some stereo upgrades over the coming winter.
Been watching your videos. Great comparison. You sold me. Just ordered my black BAM 4.5 Zombie with slash cut for my 18 RG. Feel like a kid waiting for Santa!!
As I put up own video last week...i LOVE my BAM with Zombie baffles!!! No issues with the tour pak on or off hearing the radio (4 speakers or 2) As for the neighborhood, zero complaints and I actually got a thumbs up from a 70+ year old lady neighbor who never even noticed me with the stock pipes. (2017 Limited) Y'all make the most awesome set up I've ever heard for a M8 with no other mods.
I have the 2.5” baffles and believe me when I say it’s loud enough. But, it’s all about preference. I enjoy long distance rides around the state and I like to listen to my tunes while doing so. I don’t think it’s worth getting Zombie baffles if I have to constantly tip toe around the higher RPM’s just to keep decibels reasonable enough. If my bike was a second bike that I use to bomb around the city on, I would get the Zombie baffles. Otherwise, hard pass.
These are on my 22 special with the 114 and they are incredibly loud. No other engine work either. I am very impressed. I wanted loud since the M8 was very quiet compared to my 13 twin cam-these did not disappoint!
I have a 2017 sgs with vance&hines dresser duals and zombie baffles its loud I love it I like the popping when I let off I've struggled to get a sound I was happy with found the zombies did have the bassanni 2x2 headpipe sounded great but with the dresser duals I love them
thank you for the video, when i first install it in my 2017 FLHTK it was impossible to hear my radio but after 1000 mile on it i felt it gets a little bit quieter and i started to hear my radio. i will run power vision dynojet on it and will see how it goes. honestly i loved the zombi pipes.
I bought your 5-in tab performance exhaust only when you really hit it is it loud That's the cool part about it I like my tab performance exhaust I think they sound great
got the tab with zombies on my 2020 road glide special. they sound great and yes the radio can be heard. the stock radio is not enough power to hear past 60 mph anyway. going to do a cam and header next will see what its like then
I have a 2019 Tri-Glide and I think they would sound great on the country side of South Carolina as we race for the ocean, Thanks for your demonstration.
The 4" is the only option we carry that fits that model, and be careful because it is the 1995-2016 model year fit that fits those bikes. That said, the 4 and 4.5 are almost identical on sound.
2017 SGS. The Zombi baffles are much louder "alive in person" Performance upgrades ie., Stage 4/Cam upgrades make them even louder. I LOVED the sound but even under a moderate acceleration I was always looking over my shoulder for 5-O. Hard acceleration they were way cool, nasty loud! Also, most dyno tuners will tell you not the best for maximum performance as Zombi baffles are like a straight smooth baffle, no perforation. Any way, I switched to the 2.5" baffles as a good compromise. Still a great baffle & love the Tab killer sound!!!
@@TABPerformance Don't get me wrong... I LOVE your mufflers/baffles! Great sound & that I could change the tip slash up or down. However, changing out the baffles is a challenge to line up the fit. An excellent muffler/baffle could be even better.
Sounds great! I just ordered a set with the Zombie baffles...what do you have for the handlebars? looks like a good setup..and can you recommend a tuner after cam install? Thanks!
Honestly, not sure on the bars, they were just on the bike when we purchased it used from Killer Creek but I think it might be Factory 47 bars. We recommend and use the PV-2B for the tuner, the link is below. www.tabperformance.com/power-vision-harley-davidson-tuner-p/power-vision.htm
Honestly depends if you have true duels or not.....when I got my true duels with a tune and dyno even with a upgraded radio I couldn't really hear it when I whomped
These sounds super quiet. I got a set of 2 to 1 side dumps that sound like screams from hell coming down the block. So these sound whisper quiet to me lol
People need to know if the headpipe is stock with the cat or if it is gutted. Honestly, for some, a gutted headpipe with stock mufflers might be enough. Or at least realize that once the cat is removed, all catted sound bites are irrelevant.
Those are the 4.5" slipons with the slash cut tip. We just flip the tip upside down. www.tabperformance.com/harley-2017-touring-fl-exhaust-pipe-mufflers-p/121-2297.htm
I got the 50 cal w/zombie baffles on my street glide, and i have vance and Hines non baffled on my sportster , and the tabs don’t sound as loud as my Vance and Hines. Can I remove the baffles to make them sound louder?
We don't recommend it as the bike will be tough to tune and you will lose low end a lot. The comparison isn't really a true comparison though as the sportster is a short piped no-cat, louder engine than the touring bikes. Our zombie baffles on the sportster would be even louder yet, but trying to make a touring bike as loud as a Sporty would require more like a header and cams than looking at removing baffles.
I think they would be but haven't heard them side by side to know for sure. There is a group called #zombienation on Facebook that has around 1000 members and may have someone on there whos already made that switch or heard both side by side to have a more definitive answer.
We currently run our folsom prison bars on that bike. The original ones I am not sure what brand they were since we didn't install them. www.tabperformance.com/product-p/sg-folsom-bars.htm
Thank you for your opinion for our prospective customers. Thank you for also mentioning the different options as many people don't realize you can do different options.
They are loud. No you won't be able to hear your stock radio. I have a 250 watt x 4 speaker system by biketronics. I can hear my music with my loud ass zombie bam 4.5 slip ons. Hertz in rear..biketronics pros in front. Stock....I doubt you'll hear much when under throttle.
I have heard from others that they break in, but to be honest I think it is more the bike breaking in. They don't have anywhere for the glass pack to really muffle so it shouldn't make a big difference in volume but taking the glass pack off to me makes it a little more hollow sounding.
I guess if you are the type of rider that needs the attention and validation these are perfect. For myself, loud doesnt matter. 95% of my riding is on the hwy finding new roads and exploring so i dont need loud when i am riding alone and enjoying the scenery and when i ride with a buddy or 2 i would feel bad for the guy behind me. But if it makes you feel validated then good for you, just dont be an asshole within city limits I have V&H Big radius on my 09 Rocker C and on my 2021 Street Glide Special i put Cobra Neighbor Haters
Thanks for your input. The idea behind the video was to help people decide what was right for them and to show that the zombie baffles at cruising speeds does mellow out to a reasonable neighborhood level with a stock header. That said, this is the reason we also have 2 other baffle options for those that want the ride to be less of a drone on longer rides or quiet neighborhoods.
Some people just love listening to Harleys go by including me as long as their not revving the piss out of it ( I also ride ) and loud pipes do save lives , you can argue that point with me all day and I'll never change my mind.
I agree and where a throttle bomb won’t always save you if your progressively braking, looking for a escape route you will be surprised how man cars slam the break (pulling out in front of you) when you give a nice blip on the throttle as you down shifting. Even as a rider myself when I’m in a car double and triple checking in a blind intersection I have on a few occasions heard the bike before I seen it coming around the corner granted maybe a couple seconds before they were there.
Probably the 4.5 with our header. The cams definitely help as well. If you check out the video description you will see all of the add ons from this build.
Put the zombies on my 19 Electra glide standard and luv the sound on idle and hitting the throttle BUT.......they have a tinny sound when down shifting or decel. Don’t like that sound. Anyone else notice it? Looking for a fix
We have a few options, are you running a tuner? Do you have a stock header? Cams change the sound as well. Assuming you are just slip-ons, then you can do a zombie in the left and 2.5" louvered in the right, you can do the 2.5" louvered with the packing ripped off, all of these options have been great solutions for customers of ours. So many options tough for me to give you the exact combination for your ears, but we do have options that will help move the sound around to better fit your ear.
You mean deceleration pop? Like pop corn or more like back fire gun shots. These are due to your AFR or air to fuel ratio being a little off. A tuner is a fast fix for that FP4 PV4 are good and quick if all you are doing is stage 1 mods. I bought my bike used with tab slip ons I believe they are not baffled but maybe they are if the zombies are not perforated. It looks wide open in there. I had deccel pop when I first got it and just got around to installing my new air filter and intake (636) by DK Customs. To my surprise the deccel pop went down to very quiet pop corn occasionally instead of full on detonations. Which is weird bc typically from my understanding deccel pop is usually because your bike is running to lean (too much air in the AFR). Adding high flow would increase that even more so luckily unlike the twin cams before them the M8 do not run lean from the factory on the OEM tune and the ECM does a decent job at making up the difference. I am getting a FP4 soon but got to wait till I can get the money in order.
My honest opinion either have one or the other, loud pipes or loud music. Dumb to have both. If I were commuting everyday on a bike no way would I want loud ass pipes

Thanks for watching the videos and also for joining the team.

Nothing like the old days with drags from pans, evos, etc. Them days gone..
Thinking about a pair for my 08 SG!
Just ordered a set today...pumped 💪🤙!!!
Enjoy!
I bought your 5-in tab performance exhaust only when you really hit it is it loud That's the cool part about it I like my tab performance exhaust I think they sound great

Glad you liked it!
I bought the zombie
Baffles and they hurt
My wife's ears
Couldn’t hear the radio or exhaust on the highway but I could hear a lot of wind noise. Lol.
Awsome sound
Thanks for watching!
Bro only complaint is the wait 😆
I hear yah, we are sprinting as fast as we can to get caught up here. Hopefully worth the wait :)
@@TABPerformance I always say it's worth the wait thnxx and stay safe.....
Depends on the product, you would need to go to www.tabperformance.com to see lead times by item.
Great video.
Thanks!
What bars are you running. They look great
Honestly, I am not sure, we just picked up the bike used not too long ago and that was done before we got a hold of Betty.
They look like 12" KST Mayhem bars.
People need to know if the headpipe is stock with the cat or if it is gutted. Honestly, for some, a gutted headpipe with stock mufflers might be enough. Or at least realize that once the cat is removed, all catted sound bites are irrelevant.
Do y’all do head pipes for soft tail street Bob and standards?
Sorry, we have slip-ons for those as they are already have free flowing headers.
It sounds so much quieter here than on my Stage 2 Indian
Dude you are right. My 116 Chieftain with zombies will straight wake the dead💀💀
TH-cam videos never do exhausts any justice. Ever.
What's it sound like on an old evo? With the proper harley sound.
What tips are on the bike for the cover pic of the video? Those looks badass! Huge! Please info
Those are the 4.5" slipons with the slash cut tip. We just flip the tip upside down. www.tabperformance.com/harley-2017-touring-fl-exhaust-pipe-mufflers-p/121-2297.htm

Our zombie baffles on the sportster would be even louder yet, but trying to make a touring bike as loud as a Sporty would require more like a header and cams than looking at removing baffles.
If u ride stock.... pipes..... what is difference? 🥴
Would the zombie baffles slip on fit a 2009 yamaha Royal star tour deluxe 1300cc?
No that would not fit. Not that you couldn't fab something up to work, but it is not made for that so it would not be a bolt on type of deal.
With the fuelmoto jackpot head pipe do you think these would be louder than a D&D billet cat 2-1? On a m8
I think they would be but haven't heard them side by side to know for sure. There is a group called #zombienation on Facebook that has around 1000 members and may have someone on there whos already made that switch or heard both side by side to have a more definitive answer.
If I were to buy these and I want them louder can I pull the stuffing off the baffles?
That won't impact volume on the zombies unfortunately, if a zombie baffle isn't loud enough for your taste, the next steps are header and or cams.
@@TABPerformance Thanks. I will take it step at a time.
Just do what I did. Upgrade to a 6 speaker Rockford fosgate system. Lol
I guess if you're not gettin on the throttle and just go easy you're good but if you're gonna goose it you might piss of somebody.
What’s those bars on it

Out of curiosity, are baffles interchangeable on Tab slipons?
Yes they are. We have a video on the channel showing how to swap them.
