Thanks for the video! I have a 1969 V100 Commando armored car that uses 19-spline axles and lockers, front and rear. The locker spring retainer plates have failed and pieces of them came out at an oil change. This video is quite timely!!!
Excellent video! Tops! I have a 1979 5ton M813 with 16.00R20s. Question, If I have my truck fully loaded, say 10,000 lbs and have a spool in both the rear axles and drive on the street making a sharp turn(as tight as this setup would let me) do you think I am going to be breaking axle shafts? In your experience can the 5 ton axle shafts handle that kind of stress? If not I guess I should be looking for Detroit Lockers. Thanks ahead of time for any reply.
great video im new to all of this , what do you think about after you installed the dust seal putting silicone around it to keep the mud out? do you think that would work that way you dont have to remove them?

If your driving on the street Detroit lockers are definitely a better option than a spool
They diferecial is speed or show speed the relation is like 417 mack

It would probably hold dirt in but it might be worth a try!
Do the Yukon lockers pop when accelerating from a stop or turning?
