This is not related to garden or planting. But I would love to say that I've learned so much about communication through your video's by watching how you talk to each other. I didn't have the chance to learn that when I was a child and it had made my life some what difficult. Thank you Laura and Aaron for that.

When Aaron was talking about how some plants just don’t seem to grow at all, until they suddenly burst forth. It reminded me of the old adage describing the growth habit of some perennials to sleep (year one), creep (year two), then leap (year three). Always start my day watching Garden Answer.

😂 Hear me out… I’m a woman and I get it! Years ago I had a whole plan about starting an adult summer camp where folks could drive big equipment like dump trucks, earth movers, cranes, etc!! 🤩 High-end rooms, gourmet food, game room with pool tables and arcade games, movie room with theater chairs, spa with massages, but the main focus being life-size Tonka toys, hard hats, the whole nine yards! Preferably built near one of those BMW or NASCAAR driving schools. ❤ Bear in mind that I was raised on a farm, was driving tractors and motorcycles by age 8, and most of my friends were boys!!

    💚💚Oh my gosh!!!! I just got a Koru!!!! 💚💚
I had been searching all summer for a tree to replace one of the spots from a hedge of old boxwoods that were misshapen from neglect looming our front porch bed that were here when we bought our house 7 years ago. (We finally pulled them out Spring 2023, when we had the tiers put in , just to west of the front porch)
I saw the Koru at our local nursery and fell in love. After about 3 of the workers stopping to ask if I needed help as I was starting at the Koru, working it through my mind. I finally sought out the head tree guy there to inquire of this new specimen 😃He was so excited when I asked about it. And sooooo I did it! I pulled the trigger and got her! 💚💚💚
I felt like a girl walking out of the Hermes store with the dream hand bag of my life.
A little bit queasy & giddy all at the same time!💚💚💚
All my girls & my 9 year old son love her! She is now the conversation starter when people have stopped by!
Sometimes you have to wait for the right thing to come along and when it does, be ready to pull the trigger! 💚💚💚
Thank you for teaching me so much about setting up gardens… My oldest brothers is having me come out to help him and his wife in Utah with their front bed that the builders put 3 Russian Sage in and called it good! 💁🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Nature’s Best Hope, by Doug Tallamy talks briefly about why men are psychologically satisfied by mowing. It’s a real thing, your hubby is right. But there’s also tons of evidence on how lawns degrade ecosystems so your hubby is also wrong lol. In FL lawns are particularly bad for our waterways. It’s hard for people to see how all the fertilizer they spread in their yard is contributing to the starvation of manatees but it does! And I dare anyone to swim with manatees and not fall in love with them ❤ Blessings to you both regardless, these videos are great.

Hi Laura - I love your videos and have learned so much! You talk about the temperature getting to 100 (or above) quite often. We are the same here down in Texas and it stays very hot for a large part of the day and into much of the night during the summer. Do your nighttime temps cool down quite a bit? I'm interested in learning more about how that affects our plants and what we can grow. Thanks!

Love your personal AC! Very clever.
Also, if Laura held a lottery for 10 people to join in separate events for weed pulling, dahlia digging, dahlia propagation and storage, spring bulb digging, etc., there'd be a lot of volunteers.
Interested people would have to commit to it, but they would be awesome events. I'd be there! Of course, one of the challenges for Laura might be restraining herself from pulling weeds prior to the event. 😀 The gardens are gorgeous and getting even better every single day!

You know whats funny, is where I am in the UK Buddleia is generally considered a weed. It juat grows everywhere you don't want it........... Also I dunno if Aaron was joking or not but we have a place near me called Diggerland. Which is a kinda theme park where kids and adults can use and ride on a bunch of different types of diggers. And they've put seats in a big bucket and you get spun around and stuff. It's a fun day out to be fair

Thinking about your increasing shade over next 5-15 years. Will be so cooling and will look very lush! I will still be watching (hopefully! In 15 years, I’ll be 87!) to see how you repurpose current full sun under plantings in your yard with family & friends.
I am very actively gardening at 72, however am now curating our 2+ acre property with large flower beds, 100’s (1000’s ?) of plants, and surrounded with 100’s of mature trees, to only low/lower maintenance plants. I do not know your parent’s ages…however I imagine they may begin to think about the same, at some time. Would love to see “this/not that” content for your followers who are winding down, due to age.

A golf course could set up the mowing gig! Great idea, to let people rent time to come mow for time to decompress after high-pressure jobs without having to have a yard of their own :)

Question? How does one tell if there is a iron problem with the red leaf trees? I have not had a problem with iron deficiency but I have a very old and 20 foot tall Japanese maple in my front yard. I love all your info you and Aaron give.

People would come dig your dahlia tubers for the chance just to do it and maybe take one home. Same with your bulbs. ABSOLUTELY. I would literally fly in to do that.

Good morning Laura &Aaron question I purchased a rose of Sharon. It had green foliage a lot of buds and one bloomed flower so I planted it with the one bloom facing the lawn all the other buds are blooming backwards facing the walls of the house instead of facing towards the lawn how do you are what is a good rule to make sure flowers bloom forward not backwards has this ever happened to you?

Our Autumn blaze maple was in such horrible condition. This spring we moved it and in the hole we put biotone and that chealated iron. And now it's living it's best life. No dried up leaves. I apply the iron once a week to make sure it continues to do good. This time of year it would be in such a pitiful state. So happy I found the right fix thanks to you guys!

Do you feel like the new augers are kicking dirt out much further than the original ones because there’s not flighting for it to travel up? If that makes sense. I bought the original ones from power planter years ago when you first introduced them and they have changed my garden game, so thank you for that!
