Every time I get an idea of how much effort goes into each of Moon's creations, it's like "nope, waaaay more work than that".
Imagine the cops being called on moon for some noise complaint during the time he was building juka and they open the garage to see all the bones on the floor. And they're like "NOPE fuck it, I choose life!" 🤣
They'd probably have the same reaction when the police were called into HR Giger's bedroom in his studio in Switzerland when his first girlfriend (as she was suffering from depression and a real messed up life philosophy of "live hard, die young") ate the barrel of a pistol she used while he was away.
Then again those were the very early 70s over 50 years ago. I'm sure the police in Japan have most likely seen everything and are open-minded. Pop culture has come a long way in the public eye. Especially since Japan is anime central.

If he was in America, Moon would have a file already, mainly because cops would prioritize detainment first and questions later, probably asking where Moon got those bones and would search his entire complex for any dead bodies. American cops really don't believe in context until after the fact, only in containing potential threats on sight.

Hey Moon, as a fellow custom figure, doll, and model creator I just want to say that this sort of video means a lot to me. For as long as I can remember I've repeatedly drawn and iterated on certain characters I made when I was younger, and I always dreamed of making them into something physical. And while I was no stranger to sprucing up dolls, models, and figures to suit my preferences I never really knew just what was necessary to bring my personal characters to life. But, like you, I randomly witnessed some techniques (from a Japanese model maker's TH-cam channel) that inspired me to try them out. From there it was like the fog that had been surrounding my creativity for years finally lifted and technique after technique, tool after tool fell into place. I'm still sloooooowly making my way through things, but it's been absolutely majestic knowing that I can finally materialize the designs that've been in my head since childhood without needing some overly expensive services or individuals to help me do it. Hilariously enough the video that set this all off for me was one randomly recommended by TH-cam after watching one of your videos a year and a half ago.

@@alessiobilleci7246 I wouldn't mind doing that. I actually used to have a hobby channel years ago that did pretty well. Unfortunately I no longer have anything that can take proper video. I ended up quitting making videos some 8 or so years ago now and have long since gotten rid of any equipment I had for it. So I'd have to get that again. People in various model-related communities I'm a part of have been increasingly telling me I should make videos again though, so I just might reinvest in everything once more.
@loli-knightxardej2252 I say go for it(no pressure ofc). Customizing models/dolls/figures is one of the coolest things ever, and if you're enjoying yourself, it's even cooler!
Not only was this a juka back story it's your back story to moon this was heartwarming
seriously: if you grow up next to nature you develop a whole separate personality that those who grew up in the herd. rummaging on the mud flats certainly builds character!

I love how the vibes went from "Cook book recipe backstory" to "Tony Stark building the first Iron Man suit."😄I had been quite curious about JUKA ever since she first appeared, so this video immediately had me exited. Love seeing characters coming together and becoming real, and you really made something awesome! Keep it up!
I love how - in the animations she's in - Juka seems to be this neutral character. She doesn't seem to like or hate anyone but she's willing to make pink armor if they ask.

So she was your very first character you created and became your most gigantic model...I think/hope. Very cool

It's honestly insanely cool seeing something that goes as far back as childhood stick with someone well into adulthood evolving along with them. It makes juka really special and stand out even more so while also maintaining that sense of mystery all the same

Sooo basically juka is like ur first daughter creation. You made her in paper then you have this idea to put her in real life and you did it. It amazing how you built her for so many years.

I’ve always wondered about her, and now I’m loving her even more than I already did! I’m glad you got to make your girl, it’s inspiring me to make my own characters.
This is why stopmotion is the best form of animation. You get to interact with figures you make directly rather than digitally. Sure it’s time consuming but it’s quite fun really. I used stopmotion for my animation thesis and, even though I encountered a lot of issues (mostly editing issues), it was fun to make the figures and puppets come to life through stopmotion.

Juka is one in any video that always gave me literally chills. Just because how huge and quiet she is. Also really a favorite of mine as well. I just love a woman that could kill me in the palm of her hand... Go ahead, tell me another wise.

Nice to see I’m not alone in my morbid and powerful fascination for deep sea creatures lol. While alas I cannot draw or properly visualize my imagination artistically (A limitation I find endlessly infuriating), I can fortunately wright and world build fairly well (They’re my main hobbies), and I can put that curiosity to use there. Your stop motion animations and the worlds within them (In particular a Side Of Shrapnel and Off The Grid, my two favorites) have always been a massive inspiration for me, especially the monsters and places. I find it interesting that for some reason we really seem to share a lot of the same interests in the creative process, such as what I like to call “Beautiful-Abominations” or “Beautiful-Monsters”, like from Bloodborne, which you seemed to enjoy. Idk, I guess it’s just nice to know I’m not completely mental and alone lol. Fantastic vid, I’m looking forward for more!
I love the backstory, and also with the art design in 2:37 of Juka having a snake tail, she literally reminds me of the Seamstress from 9(Movie by Shane Acker)
I swear, this video is the only time I've ever been able to see Juka in all her majesty. In every other video Moon makes, she's so massive that all we ever see are her tendrils.
