This video is adding the Delta Device Acrylic platter, still using the bottom part of standard Rega subplatter, but removing the alloy top piece it's fitted with, that's there to allow for the extra hight of the Rp6's standard deep, two layer glass platter. You can keep the standard two piece subplatter fitted if you buy a new platter that is made specifically for the RP6/P6, this Delta Device acrylic platter is made for P3/RP3 ect ,so requires the top piece of the RP6's sublatter removed to fit.

Mine is a modified RP6, I also have : modified RP3 , modified planer 3/rb300 and planer 3/r200. I have videos up of them, you can find out the modifications by opening each of their descriptions.

Am I to believe that the standard P6 has a subplatter that is in 2 parts then. Plastic underneath with an alloy top? If so I had no idea.

Hi Pete, good to hear from you again.
It's the RP6 that has a two part platter, the newer P6 has a one piece alloy subplatter.
