  • Finally took the time to do a full build video for one of my knives. This is a new model that I just came out with and I think its going to be a winner! The Damascus I'm using today is from Alabama Damascus steel and is their low layer pattern. The scales are from @summitwoodblanks on instagram and are dyed and stabilized box elder burl. All my abrasives are from Red label abrasives www.redlabelab.... My grinder is the Beaumont metal works KMG TX model and its absolutely incredible!! If you have any questions feel free to drop them in the comments below or send me a dm over on instagram @Gentrycustomknives
    Thanks for watching!!

SIR: Just found you on YT. Very nice video, looking forward to more. Excellent knife design, although I would like it even more with a guard. (My little hang up.) I REALLY want to compliment you on your choice of music!! As a older serious knife guy, (medically retired) I watch tons of knife vids, HATE nearly all of the music with them, and very much appreciate your efforts here. Good luck in your future!

Decided to go back and watch some of your older videos…what is your ration of FC to AC on your etch solution? Looks amazing!

That's beautiful. Digging that pin arrangement. Ever try some talcum powder on that checkering file? I find it helps it bite a bit. Love the vid, thanks for sharing as always.

Beautiful. An in depth grinding the bevels video with focus on the plunges n other tips would be great. awesome grinder. interesting way of holding the knife. never seen it done that way. looks comfy. btw what safety goggles are thise? looks like swimming ones. n like they dont fog up easily. take care. all the best.

Man what a awesome knife!! Love the video! Quick question though like on a Damascus how do you put the etch back on the spine after sanding it all away when profiling the handle? I’m just trying to figure out the best way to do this on my Damascus. Anyways thank you so much for a response if one is given and the videos!!

Thank you, I use a qtip with acid on it to touch up the spine

@@gentrycustomknives8008 ok yea that’s what I was thinking also! Just not sure on what material is able to get touched by the acid when doing the spine and what material it’s not good on but, thank u for the very fast response and keep making great knives!
