    I paid $155 Singapore dollars. Expensive.

      Sounds expensive. I have seen them on sale in the states a few times.

    Just got mine. Boy you are gonna need a carbon eraser on this sucker. Came in at 7.98 oz and included 3 extra over grips, nice box, and a sweatband- nice touch! Do we have a spin rating yet on this?

      How are you liking the paddle so far @iKumala?
      Yes, the paddle eraser is a good idea for any of the new carbon fiber paddles, including this one, as it picks up a lot of ball debris quickly.
      I just added one of their overgrips on another paddle as was pleasantly supprised at the quality of them. Not sure how they do with sweat as it's only been in 40's around here but I like the feel of it.
      I don't have the equipment to do spin test and haven't heard any numbers but I can still get quite a bit of movement on the ball.

      @@QuickReviews615 Just played it today without any modifications. Very nice (especially considering I got it for $74 somehow). Able to direct the ball well, the put away's are powerful, the dinking seemed fine. The sweet spot seemed a bit smaller than my DBD (especially in the top 1/4 of the paddle). Or that could be just getting used to it. Quality build, love the grip, very satisfied.

      @@iKumala Wow, that is a heck of a deal! I was actually suprised at how well it dinks (with soft hands) and I found that since the paddle has plenty of pop and speed I'm focused more on hitting the ball with intent vs having to "crush it" so my accuracy is better. I agree that the sweet spot drops towards the top of the paddle.

    how does this compare to the t500a model? have you also tried their Try line with the hole

    • @QuickReviews615
      @QuickReviews615  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I personally like the T500 better as I prefer contol paddles over power paddles as I feel I need more support in my soft game and a can generate good power on my own. I haven't tried there Power Air Series paddle with the hole by the handle, but currently testing out their T800 and T1000.
      The T1000 is awesome and the exact same paddle as the Joola Perseus but at a much better price! amzn.to/3v0oeCv
      I just started playing with the T800 and it play well, but nothing compares to T1000 at this time for me - it is my new favorite paddle.

    I think for 75 bucks it's worth the experimental purchase but for $125/ 135 in puts you in the price point to get most any other quality thermo paddle. Nice review though.

      Hey Shelby, thanks for the feedback - much appreciated!
      I kinda feel similarly about the new Gearbox Pro - not sure it is worth trying at $275, but I'd love to try one out and see how it compares to my current favorite paddle, the Volair Mach 1, which was only $140. The big question for me is, how much MORE paddle can I get from the Gearbox over the Volair for the extra $135?
      In regards to the INSUM, it plays surprising well (and it is very well balanced in my hands which I really enjoy), and I haven't experienced any degridation of the face like many name-brand paddles (cough Joola). I play with a guy who has the T700 and he loves it.
      Maybe someone you play will have one to test out! This is my favorite way of deciding which paddle I should play with next.

      As I know, this model is also thermo pressing. Also Insum is sub-brand of AMA SPORT who is OEM for many well known brand so no doubt about how they can put know-how inside their product.

      @@apichartchoomai4023 that is good to know about their manufacturing setup as I just got their T1000 it looks and plays like a Joola Perseus which is becuase it's a Joola Perseus with different branding on the paddle face and it is an awesome paddle. My new favorite in fact. I'll have a review out shortly.

    There are 3 companies that make "Toray carbon fiber" Quality of the product varies between the 3. That core material is real loud.

    • @chrislaws8245
      @chrislaws8245 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Nope. Only Toray Industries produces Toray T700. They manufacture it in several countries but only 1 company. There are several companies that manufacture T700 though, that is a rating based on composition and tensile strength.👍🏻

      @@kimleith1378 there are a lot of companies that make T700. John Kew explains in one of his videos. Best manufacturers are Toray, Mitsubishi, some German company and a US company.

    I bought INSUM T700. Is hollow. Empty. Weight is 7.4 not 7.87 oz. Too light. Sound is too loud. Can be heard from a distance. Players are affected by the extremely loud sound.

      It definately has a unique feel and sound to it. I have a buddy who bought one and he loves it - fits his playing style and what he is looking for in a paddle. For me, I found that it didn't have as much control as I would like to have and use the T-1000 most of the time.
