People calling this unauthentic pho is wrong! As a Vietnamese person, you can eat your pho how you like! Sriracha with hoisin sauce with herbs or no herbs and no sauce! Also Each region of Vietnamese eats pho differently! Don’t listen to the ignorant comments about what real or authentic pho is! Mostly southern Vietnamese people eat pho with herbs and sauces.
Dude , the north vietnam pho is the best 1 , ask any vietnamese which region have the best pho they gonna said it the north . I guaranteed it (from hanoi)

I'm Vietnamese American. I walk away when I see that communist Vietnamese flag. That communist flag is not really allowed here in America. We fly the yellow flag with three stripes in America... Flag of South Vietnam (Quốc kỳ Việt Nam Cộng hòa).
The restaurant isn't supposed to put those in for you. They should have hoison sauce and siracha available for you to add in your pho yourself, but it's optional and not mandatory. Also, that's only how southern Vietnam eat their pho, they don't do that in North.
