      Doesn't compare at all to South Africa's scenery and we don't have to wear flynets

    • @BubblesTheCat1
      @BubblesTheCat1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@funkdunk You're expressing my exact thoughts! Australia might be "safer" than South Africa, but it seems to me that the whole country looks exactly the same.
      Here in Southern Africa there's absolutely awesome scenery, mountains and real wildlife. I think I would tire of Australia very quickly, especially with all the flies!

    • @BubblesTheCat1
      @BubblesTheCat1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In Southern Africa we've got everything you need to see. From deserts to beaches, mountains, forests and even snow capped mountains.
      You won't find a snow covered Sani Pass down under. Maybe one day when Andrew and Gwynn retire, they'll return to the Okavango. That's where their hearts lay ☺

    To prevent the lock from making noise, put adhesive velcro on the lock and respectively on the box. They stick together and there will be no more noise and they are easily separated ...

    I am delighted to repay all your advice with a top tip of my own. Get two drones, hover one just above your head while flying the other drone. No insect will get anywhere near you with the downwash and you have the benefit of cooler air. A cheaper version is a fan pointing in your face, but its less dramatic!

    @Gwen
    Please / I beg you / get a cast-iron frying pan with a glass lid. If you can use it in your camping kitchen you will not regret it!
    Here are my recipe of my favorite scrambled eggs:
    2 Eggs
    A palm of diced red onion
    Some real/true Parmesan to taste
    Diced lean bacon / or (Turkey) equal
    Fry the diced bacon to crispy at medium heat.
    While the bacon is fried - mix eggs with onion and Parmesan & add olive oil to taste. Let it sit for a while letting the oil soak in to the ingredients.
    When the bacon is ready/crispy/ add it to the egg/onion/Parmesan mix. Blend it all together.
    Add all back into the frying pan at very low heat, making it scrambled or as an omelette / to your preference.
    Do not burn it, not even the slightest! Slow cooking at low heat is the way to go. Good tasting food is cooked slowly!
    When all is done, serve with the spices you prefer, be it salt, pepper, BBQ, or whatever.
    - Enjoy!

    Your a good overlanding rig builder. The green LC troopy was good. The present blue one is better in terms functionality, liveability etc.. I'm more into alloy wheels than steel (more pros though). It will be interesting to know how good you're in building other vehicles except troopy, like the Disco 1st gen. You got one why not lift it, change those skinny wheels and tyres, awnings, swing outs, long range fuel tank, compressor, redarc system etc.. I don't know why but i never saw Disco 1st gen upgraded with modern moods and accessories.

    Hi Andrew, I do quite a lot of drone flying, and I use a DJI Smart Controller, its a dedicated controller with a really bright screen and I find its really good to use in bright sunlight. The screen is so good, when the flies are really bad, wear a fly net and its still quite easy to see the screen and fly your drone, I have never had any problems. If you sit in the shade normally there are less flies as well. Any way I'd just thought I would mention this and these controllers work with many different DJI Drone models, there may be more options now as I haven't researched controllers recently. BTW I also enjoy your videos, especially your remote travels which is what my wife and myself love to do, we recently crossed the Simpson and just loved it, the time we crossed it wasn't crowded at all : )
