Very joyful!
Thanks very much!
Thanks for a great review .Which resort in town is better - Slik Path or MGallery? would you recommend Topas Ecolodge for an out of town experience
I much prefer the MGallery over the Silk Path. As for Topas, I have not been there but my thoughts just from researching it are that itâs far overpriced at $300-$400/night.
@@tfft Thanks so much You have saved so much time in researching the destination & hotel
It's all about the views!! The common area was very cluttered and the bathroom wouldn't be great in Winter. Just out of curiosity do you think resorts in Thailand and Vietnam have switched focus to local guests rather than overseas guests since the pandemic? I would love to hear your opinion ð
I wouldnât say âswitched focusâ perhaps just, pivoted temporarily, to a more local market- but even that is a lot to unpack. The âlocal marketâ in Thailand has many more resident expats and generally a higher purchasing power than in VN. In Thailand I havenât seen many changes in the product but rather in the marketing. Staycations, day-use rooms, weekend packages and dining experiences are essentially what kept the lights on for the hotel industry in Thailand throughout COVID. In Vietnam, it is a drastically different market where the same marketing tactics used in Thailand would never make a meaningful impact here. In VN the pivot involved actual product changes- from breakfast buffet offerings, to food-inclusive pricing, to, dare I say, purposely tacky marketing to appeal to an audience that is more accustomed to the likes of Vinpearl & Muong Thanh ad campaigns.
All that said, Thailand has an easy road back to the old model. The changes in VN though involved a lot more cost savings for properties, so Iâm curious to see if these changes just end up sticking around for a while.
@@tfft: Thankyou so much for your detailed response and experiences in each Country, l see alot of people (both expats and locals) hanging out at some amazing Hotels in Thailand that previously wouldn't have been accessible to them. These luxury brands are offering day stays, reduced rate dining and discount spa treatments along with monthly gym memberships providing your permanent residential address is Koh Samui or wherever the hotels and resorts are located which is fantastic. Oh the all Inclusive is tacky, gosh lm old-er and l remember the early 90's club med was all the rage, lve had enough all you can eat, all you can drink holidays to last me a lifetime ðĪŠ.
Thanks once again for helping me understand its greatly appreciated. ð
Hello! Thanks for the video! Was it convenient to get a taxi from this hotel to town?
They can call one for you. Youâll likely be using private cars for most things originating outside of the town itself. Thanks for watching ððŧ
