Hello and welcome. I watched the movie with pleasure. I am extremely impressed with the route and the material. It certainly made me aware of my plans for the expedition with my team. I always thought Norway was NordCap. It turns out that you can plan 10 days exploring western-southern Norway and enjoying beautiful views. Thanks for the material. Very good job. I wish you more wonderful and unforgettable expeditions. I will definitely take advantage of your knowledge and purchase all materials. Best regards, #adv_domin

Thank you so much Marjan. Nice to know that you enjoyed this video. I went back to Norway this year again - this time all the way to the North Cape, the most northern point of Europe, on the longest day of the year to see the midnight sun. I hope to found the time to edit footage this winter 😉 all the best, Oliver
Hey… looks like you had an awesome trip…. You might have said in the video: but what months were you in Norway? And would you think that you had chosen that time period well for the weather? Other question: can’t make out the make of your lids.. ? They are cool looking …. and thanks for taking me around Norway… 🇳🇴
This was towards the end of August. Best times are June & July with regards to weather - However, it is not a guarantee - The year we were riding July had a lot more rain than August. I was in Norway last year (video is coming up soon) in June and I had very little rain. As for the lids - I did a video on them th-cam.com/video/ysiMw_UWN1o/w-d-xo.html cheers, Oliver
The Governor of my State, Washington in the US, recently went to Norway to check out the electric ferries. We have a large ferry system here. I hope it goes electric. Safe travels to you. Cheers!
I wasn’t aware that Washington had so many ferries too 😉 It’s such an amazing experience - I think sooner than later all the ferries will be electric in Norway. Let’s hope it catches on in Washington too 👍
Thank you very much- I am still considering the idea to offer guided tours at some point - I would love to show all these great places to more riders but it’s hard to manage this and my main job at the moment 😉
Almost this exact route (besides the Germany and Denmark part) is one I have to(!) take many times a year for work to visit customers, so I get paid to drive here and I love it! Was great watching the drone footage! I have family living in Geiranger and owns a lot there (like Vesterås, Knivsflå mountain farm and Vinje farm). You didn't go to Lovatnet in Loen? That is one of my favourite places (when not crowded). Great video!
Thank you you very much. I would love to get paid to see this part of the world 😉 I will keep Lovanet in the back of my mind for next time. I did go back this year in June but the video will be a while before it comes out. (Lots of editing awaiting me this winter)
Thank you very much 😉 Norway is definitely one of the more expensive places to travel to. If you decide to camp a lot and prepare your own food you can cut two of the most expensive items of the travel budget. It’s not what we did though. The inland ferries are reasonably priced. The long ferry to and from Norway are pricey as well. Alternatives are extra time on the road or using a sleeping bag rather than booking a cabin on the ferry for a more budget friendly approach. Book early to get the best prices. Alcohol is among the most expensive in all of Europe- especially if you buy in restaurants or bars. So there are options for experiencing Norway on a tight budget. 😉
Thank you very much- I went back this year too. This time I covered everything I did not get to see last year. Including the Nordkap 😉 it will likely not be the last time in Norway. It’s such a beautiful country
What awesome video tour or Norway. Such a beautiful place of which I am sure is even more beautiful when seen in first person. Great editing and story telling along the way. I have subscribed and will enjoy your many other videos!
Thank you very much for the nice comment. It’s hard to capture the actual beauty of Norway on video - it’s even nicer in real life 😉 welcome to the channel 👍 - cheers Oliver
Just found your channel! Subbed for support! Looking forward watching some videos of the travels you did. Heck, might even get some inspiration and pointers for my own trips!
Been following your travels for some time now..and must say they are improving all the time, super photography... Great scenery..real world words. Stay safe !!
@@QuangNguyen1986 this video is from late August- I was back at the end of June this year again with a lot less rain. However- it’s Norway and there is no certainty with regards to weather. Best time would be mid June to mid July - it’s right before school holidays of most European countries and the weather is relatively descent 😉
Nice locations. This year has been great weatherwise. Only july was bad. Lots and lots of rain. Witch is typical. A reason i travel out of Norway in july. May and june i would say is safest for a biketrip.
I was back again this year in June and had the very best of weather - just a few hours of rain in 2 weeks. I would agree with June beeing the best time - it is also a good time as there are fewer other tourist visiting Norway. July is the month of school holiday and lots of camper vans make there way up north.
@@MotoVibes Absolutely. Yeah july is a nightmare on the tourist spots. Tourbusses. Campervans. And other road vacationers. I live right outside of Bergen. And july is by far the busiest at that time. And when it rains here there is allot of rock and land slides.. Best to avoid.

How do you avoid your drone to crash? So far as I can see from your astonishing takes it is about to happen now and then. Do you control the drone with the controller on your tank? By the way - one of the best video from Norway, which I have visited several time. Lofoten should be your next goal. Lofoten is absolutely exceptional.
Thank you very much 😉 for the tracking shots I use a different drone (i have 2 😉) th-cam.com/video/I9ZakT4q-b8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BV2DRGhZPd4Ae7lB This drone basically flies itself. It will and has crashed but 99% of the time it’s pretty good avoiding obstacles. I went back to Norway this year to see the places I did not get to see on this trip including the Nordkap and and the Lofoten - the video editing will still be a while as I record in the summer and edit in the winter 😉 as you said Lofoten was exceptional 👍
Wow. Nicely done! A Norway trip is still on my bucket list; this video just moved it up a few places. One question: how did you do the quick map overview showing your daily route? I've been looking for a tool for this and not found anything as clean as what you have. Thanks.
hi this is marvelous! nice ride and video captures! One question about Day6, at Trollstigen, you said you ride down once and up again. Is that the same zigzag route? or there is a second road to cross Trollstigen? thank you!
Thank you very much 😉 the Trollstigen is that steep curvy road. When you approach this road from the south you will start the Trollstigen at its highest point. The road leading up to it is a slow climb. Still very nice and scenic but a lot less spectacular 😉
Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed the video. Here is a video on the range of camera I use th-cam.com/video/gBhjVcpYQT0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L7r2Phr5AiLrWxqP and this one is specifically for the tracking drone th-cam.com/video/I9ZakT4q-b8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=s57P8_1rZjTBIX8h

Thank you very much 😉 I keep the visor slightly open to minimize fogging. A pinlock visor would absolutely prevent fogging. I have a pinlock installed on the clear visor that I always bring but never really end up using. 98% of the time I do not need the pinlock visor- after every ride I remove my main visor and clean it under running water- that is impossible to do with the pinlock visor installed as water would get between the 2 layers. Also the pinlock visor degrades the optical clarity for normal weather riding. Therefore I rather deal with the rare occasion of fogging or if it gets too bad I can switch to the clear visor 😉
@@MotoVibes thanks for the reply. Actually doing almost the same but when it's too wet it becomes problem without pinlock. So just wondered if you use any additional magic liquid or smth :)

well, if you would have asked me 9 weeks ago I would have told you zero problem with all 3 of my KTM 1290 Super Adventure bikes (2018, 2020, 2022). 8 weeks ago my 2022 KTM 1290 Super Adventure exprienced catastrophic engine damage on the Autobahn while I was going a constant speed of 190 km/h. I am still waiting on the repair - KTM was quick to send a replacement motor to the dealer in Munich but they are completely booked and so the installation of the replacment engine has not happened yet and I am still without a motorcycle. Now as usual - this is a select experience (as all the good ones were too). It is not uncommon to have larger issues with modern high tech bikes - BMW recent issues with the shaft drive for example. However, KTM has the reputation of beeing relatively slow to resolve issues and I am on the receiving end of this at the moment. With all that said - my recommendation is to pick the motorcycle that excites you the most and make that a priority. What is the point of picking the super safe and supposedly trouble free motorcycle when the bike itself does not get you heart rate up when you walk out to it. Also, do a test ride before you buy - an extented one day ride is what I recommend. If you are looking at a 20k Euro motorcycle doing a test ride is a smart thing to do even if you have to rent one for 150 EUR/day. If you can afford the time to cross test other bikes in the same category this will also help to cement your descision. When I made my move to the adventure bike category I was choosing between Ducati and BMW - on paper the Ducati was the winner unitl I rode the BMW for a day and ended up buying the 1200 GS at the time - and then 2 years later did the same with the KTMs ;-)
Okay, what? we are up to clone 46, and who was that 45 in the back ground. It's really funny, guys. Okay, is all this gear only sold in Canada or cab you buy this stuff in the states.
Excellent video of some of the best Norway has to offer! Being from Norway, I have toured these areas numerous times, and I must say, your footage is just awesome! Which drone did you bring for the trip? Safe travels on your next journies, maybe we´ll meet on the road? @seasummitnorway
Thank you very much for the nice feedback. I use 2 drones - one is a DJI Mavic Air2 and for the tracking shots it is this one th-cam.com/video/I9ZakT4q-b8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WYlTOdHA_PYG6fGR
Thank you very much - The driving shots were done with a Skydio drone - it requires minimal input and basically flies itself. All I had to do is position it correctly for the different shots
Had a bit of a letdown with my DaineseCarve Master gear on a Norway trip - didn't seem to hold up well in heavy rain. Anyone else faced waterproofing issues with high-end gear like this? Did Klima performed well in all this rain?
Most Goretex gear will fail at some point. Not the Goretex itself necessarily but water can creep through the openings of neck and sleeves like in my case. My brother stayed bone dry with a brand new Klim suit while I had water coming in after 5 hours of riding in heavy rain
I sure can. This video shows the details of the vlog setup th-cam.com/video/d7eh1HCxp0c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DDlJ_1gZmngotgWD and this one shows all the cameras I use th-cam.com/video/gBhjVcpYQT0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QLEKjbDU8LJ3QA60. I hope this helps 😉
Hello, I live in Hungary and I bought the same motorcycle as yours. I would like to ask if you had any problems with it. How many kilometers did you ride on your motorcycle?I love your videos!👍Thank you! Best regards! Robert
Hi Robert- thank you very much 😉 I would suggest two watch the following 2 videos on my long experience with the 1290 Super Adventure th-cam.com/video/hjV0RimLBzg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=s0Oh6OjzYFhzzfsa and this one th-cam.com/video/XF_xeVtIhBw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8Iqnfn7-OQLcmEBs. Nothing has changed since and I am on my third 1290 Super Adventure 😉
Thank you very much. I am not familiar with the current pricing but there are weekly rates. Btw 130 Euros a day would be very cheap - you show me a place where you can rent a 1290 SAS for less than 150 euro a day
Schau mal ob das was hilft.

Other question: can’t make out the make of your lids.. ? They are cool looking
…. and thanks for taking me around Norway… 🇳🇴
Let’s hope it catches on in Washington too 👍
@@MotoVibes WA does not have as many ferries as Norway but the region relies on them to cross Puget Sound mostly.
Man would I love to ride with! I am up to your pace and like your taste! Please continue your videos I find them inspiring.
Nice video👍 think we met i Stavanger, waiting for the ferry to Denmark..
Very cool - this is still the video from last year. This years trip will not be in editing until this winter 😉
Very professional production!
Thank you very much 🤙
Think this is my next trip. As always, great great vlog buddy. Any idea of costs, Ferry’s, accommodation , how are the restaurant prices ect
very fun to see you ride through my home place ryfylke :D
Well - you must be very lucky to live in such beautiful surroundings ;-)
Amazing video man, the drone shots was very cool. well done and i hope you enjoyed your stay in Norway.
Thank you very much 😉 there was much more to see so I went back last year for a second tour. I should have the videos ready in late spring 😉
Awesome video, spent a few days in the south, I chose to explore next year directly from Bergen!
Klasse! Grüße aus München
Besten Dank 😉
Just found your channel! Subbed for support! Looking forward watching some videos of the travels you did. Heck, might even get some inspiration and pointers for my own trips!
Happy New Year to you and welcome to the channel 😉
Happy New Year to you too!
I wanna ride with you guys. Good beers with a nice view 👍
Thank you 😉
Awesome video work guys!
Thank you very much 😉
Been following your travels for some time now..and must say they are improving all the time, super photography...
Great scenery..real world words.
Stay safe !!
Thank you very much mate 😉 glad you enjoyed them 🤙
my dream rides. I've been to Norway a few times but only for biz trip. Stunning camera works btw.
Thank you very much - I hope you get to experience on the motorcycle one of these days
@@MotoVibes May I know which date was it ? As I was told in July there is not very much rain in Norway.
Epic ride.
How do you animated the route on the map? Beautiful.
Thank you very much - the animated maps are done with a little freeware tool called Route Generator - I hope this helps
Wish if you did it in multiple Episode..too long to watch it at once...although...its a beautiful scenery....thanks for Sharing...be safe 👍🏻🏅💐
Thank you very much- this did come out in a three parts series before I published the full length video 😉

Oh ..didn't know...I'm new subscriber in your Channel...sorry man...I'll check it 👍🏻🏅
@@abdulazizsaleh8650 no problem at all. These video take so long to produce that I release longer content in parts and then do a full length version a few months later later - some viewers like you prefer shorter videos others prefer feature film length content - anyway welcome to the channel 😉

My dream trip 😍
I can absolutely recommend it 😉
amazing video... well done guys. I'm subscribed now so i wont miss any of your other content. :)
Thank you very much and welcome to the channel. 😉👍
Thank you very much 😉 for the tracking shots I use a different drone (i have 2 😉) th-cam.com/video/I9ZakT4q-b8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BV2DRGhZPd4Ae7lB
This drone basically flies itself.
Thanks.
Thank you very much - the tool is callled: "Route Generator" - a small freeware tool by Michiel Jansen.
What a ride
Thank you very much 😉
hi this is marvelous! nice ride and video captures!
Great footage, I did laugh when I saw your Brothers actual bike 😄👍
I had a lot of fun on a Kawasaki 500 twin, loves the bends 👍
It’s a great bike but not really the best choice for a trip like this 😂
@@MotoVibes Lol, probably not 😄👍
Sound suspension, but it does depend on the terrain 😄👍
It’s always great running through the temperature gap as you’re travelling 😄👍
Amazing production ❤ loved it, well deserved sub!
(Trying to see what camera and drone you had as footage was really nice)
Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed the video. Here is a video on the range of camera I use th-cam.com/video/gBhjVcpYQT0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L7r2Phr5AiLrWxqP and this one is specifically for the tracking drone th-cam.com/video/I9ZakT4q-b8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=s57P8_1rZjTBIX8h

Yes it did 😉 thank you very much for the nice compliment 😎🤙
Super film avec ton frère!!
Love your video :-) This landscape is fantastic to ride in :-) Wich drone are you using in all this humid condition? Thanks for your reply :-) Have safe rides 🙂
Thank you very much 😉 I used 2 drones - this one for all the tracking shots th-cam.com/video/I9ZakT4q-b8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JYgtM2fqP16MuCNB and a DJI air 2 for everything else
Awesome video - and bikes…
What is the helmet called?
Thank you very much 😉 it’s this helmet th-cam.com/video/ysiMw_UWN1o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Szv4WUi-hFlAyCvA
awesome trip!
how do you ride without pinlock installed in rain? doesn't the shield full of fog? or how do you walkaround this issue?
@@welsewool no magic here 😂

How is the KTM behaving? Did it give you any issues, I am thinking of a superduke GT, will it be a good tourer?
well, if you would have asked me 9 weeks ago I would have told you zero problem with all 3 of my KTM 1290 Super Adventure bikes (2018, 2020, 2022).
Hey Peter- is this the right video the comment was intended for ? 😉
I use 2 drones - one is a DJI Mavic Air2 and for the tracking shots it is this one th-cam.com/video/I9ZakT4q-b8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WYlTOdHA_PYG6fGR
cool cool coool : ) new man

Really good movie and professionaly done. Did you fly the drone while you were driving?
Thank you very much - The driving shots were done with a Skydio drone - it requires minimal input and basically flies itself. All I had to do is position it correctly for the different shots
Nice video hallo from Norway, one question who is controlling the drone?

Had a bit of a letdown with my DaineseCarve Master gear on a Norway trip - didn't seem to hold up well in heavy rain. Anyone else faced waterproofing issues with high-end gear like this? Did Klima performed well in all this rain?
Most Goretex gear will fail at some point. Not the Goretex itself necessarily but water can creep through the openings of neck and sleeves like in my case. My brother stayed bone dry with a brand new Klim suit while I had water coming in after 5 hours of riding in heavy rain

Thank you you very much and greetings to Pakistan 😉
Schau mal ob das was hilft.
