The 3rd generation Irocs were beauties. But they were slow. The '90 was the fastest at 240HP and even that isn't fast. Gorgeous cars though. I'm torn between these and the late 70s Trans Ams, especially the '77 TA.
My dad was a Chevy guy. He always had boring family cars. He had the money for a cool car but was never into them.All of my friends in HS their parents had muscle cars from the 60s. In HS in the early 90s I got to ride in a lot of muscle cars. In my 20s I had 2 muscle cars and moved on to BMW M cars. My dad at 75 finally picked up this exact Camaro. He paid 12k for it. The car is original with 14k on the odometer. He loves the attention and was telling me all about it. I laughed. “ I know Dad. I been dealing with it for years. Welcome to the club!” Nice video
A survivor. The build quality was shit on my 89 IROC but it was fun and beautiful. Not much in the horsepower department but nothing had big power back then. I currently own a Scat pack Charger with crazy power for a production car.
Last year of the IROC badging... In '91, Chevy went back to just the Z28...Back in the day, this was my "Dream Car" until I drove a friend's machine whom let me open it up on the freeway a bit... Compared to an Old 1970 AMC AMX 2 seater I had about a decade before - a dog! Nice engine on the IROC, and it handled much better than my old AMX, but that automatic transmission teamed with the 350 TPI and nothing else, kind of _really_ slowed things down... After that I knew I was drawn only by the way the damn vehicle looked! Great vintage show car, or to just cruise with, but if you want to open it up on the freeway or even the 1/4 mile - MEH!
No problem! Sorry it took a while! However keep an eye out we are alway looking for good quality IROCs. They are getting pretty few and far between but you never know when we will get another one in!

Fact. I owned a new 89. 5.7. Solid top g92 package grand am turbo only car that kept pace. Mine was 245 HP.

That's because they were all made at the Van Nuys, CA plant.
The Norwood, OH plant quit building the Camaros in August of 1987.

I know how you feel. The Irocs were beauties, but they were slow cars. These 3rd generation Camaros were anywhere from 190-245HP. Slowwwwww 🐢
