There was a Gurkha detachment in the Falklands in March '86. We used to wait for their SNCOs to be served dinner in the Sgts Mess at Mount Pleasant and then beg the chefs for any scraps of curry that was left over !! I was an RAF Chief Tech on Sea Kings, and the food was the only thing that cheered us up!!
