- Genevieve and I, along with Bunjie and Bunjie, Jr., head to the woods by the 100 Year Old Apple Tree for the Opening Day of the Pennsylvania Crossbow Season. The 37 Days of Awesome starts right here, with Genevieve's first ever deer hunt!
Bunjie, Jr., is an Excalibur 355 Micro Suppressor crossbow. Genevieve is shooting 265 grain ProFlight arrows with 150 grain Rage Trypan broadheads. She loves her Charger EXT crank system.

This is a channel about crossbow hunting. This is not a channel about shooting big bucks. I don't discriminate--I'll shoot any legal deer. ;) But, sometimes, big bucks happen!
I want to help make TH-cam the #1 place for quality hunting entertainment. I want to help spread the hunting lifestyle. To do that, I set up this channel to showcase the crossbow and help others film their hunts and get those videos online. So, subscribe to this channel to be entertained and learn more about crossbows and filming in the outdoors.
This channel is about my love of the crossbow, hunting, and the outdoors. I hunt exclusively with the crossbow. I love it. Sure, like a lot of kids, I started hunting with a good ol' Model '94 Winchester .30-30 back in the 80's, but drifted away from hunting when I went off to college, law school, and started a family. As my daughter got older, I regained my interest in the outdoors, and I consider myself lucky to hunt on the same property today that I hunted on as a kid. I got the Excalibur Axiom crossbow in 2010 and I haven't looked back. This channel is the result of combining my interest in filming and hunting...
...and music, too! My related channel, Yankee Militia, showcases my music. Some of the music is hunting-related, so check that out, too! Good on you girl, great job!! I love watching you guys! I started hunting with my dad when I was 12. I'm 30 now and we still hunt together. Awesome to see other father/daughter duos out hunting! I've only ever hunted with a compound bow, rifle, and muzzleloader, but I definitely want to try a crossbow next year!

I don't think the person who gave your family Bunjie Junior as a gift could have written a better script for this hunt. These moments in life are priceless! After 35 years of bowhunting, I am considering the purchase of a crossbow (Excalibur maybe). Thus, I discovered your channel & this hunt. A person's first deer remains special forever. The best two hunts that I have seen this year are dads filming daughters shooting their first deer (bucks) with a crossbow. Awesome stuff! Added plus - I was wondering how well those 16.5" quill would work on a deer. Now I know! Thanks!

Congrats! I just picked up a Micro Suppressor 400 Take down? Cant wait to go get a deer with my first crossbow. Congratulations! On yours. I'm so proud of you! You are blessed to have a father who has taught you how to hunt and use a crossbow. Unfortunately my pops doesn't hunt so I've had to learn everything on my own. Wow Rich, how awesome this must have been for the both of you. I know Genevieve is obviously excited about her first deer as any hunter would be. Especially, her first deer being a buck. A father getting to experience his child take their first deer has yo be incredible and more exciting than any 🦌 you have shot. Is that safe to say? My son is 3 and I have another child on the way.
