Phil tends to forget about a lot of poker basics because he thinks no one plays better than him. Maybe on average throughout a game, but anyone can outplay him on one hand. His arrogance caused him to lose more than he should have. Every card on the flop beats his hand. He had 6 outs after the flop. Any Jack, or the last two 9s. One nine was folded, but he doesn't know that. What else is there to do besides fold when anything beats you. Also, going to the flop five handed means someone is going to hit. He ignored everything he should have paid attention to and got wrecked. Tony G was right, Phil should just retire. His self-deification is destroying his game.

Pocket 9s vs 4 people on a flop of 10-Q-K? 9s are behind every single time there.

Doug Polk doing commentary for a MrBeast session at HCL with Hellmuth? I am in poker heaven.😂
May Keanu Reeves some day bless his appearance. Rumor has it he's a savage hold'em/high-stakes roller. He probably buys everyone a car with his winnings, tho 😂

You think Phil would learn not to over play pockets 9s by now. I can remember several other big hands over the years where Phil went full blown donkey with 99.

How is Phil favourite on this flop? No way graphics are right? 66 percent fav on KQJ with 99 , 23 people in the hand.
Oh silly me, just realised they are factoring the “White Magic” equity into the mix??? In that case maybe he 90 percent fav ?

9:48 sorry to correct you, Doug but there’s no way Phil could have 99 here. He’d have to limp pre, cold call the 3bet, and then flat the flop with 9s which is just never happ….. oh wait wtf

ironic how hellmuth slates the amateur for his play yet he makes a horrendous call with 99.
