I must say, the end was astounding. I just can't stop laughing! At the same time, I understand how she could relate to those things that were not hers.
how could she relate? I think It was all about hit of the moment that indicates her intellect and genius. that's why the casting director ran after her to give her the role instant.
J’adore
I've been looking for this movie since 2005! I watched this in a French TV channel and haven't forgotten about it since. Thanks so much for uploading it!
I'm pretty sure it's because she's such a good actress he wanted her for the part. She spent the whole time describing things from "her" bag and painted an entire picture of her life, but really it wasn't her bag at all, it was Alice's, but she was able to create an entire character on the fly. That's good acting. :)
A moving film. I was already tearing up during her simple, mundane depictions of her life. And then, the end -- wham! . . . Also, I figured the film must have been shot 50 or 60 years ago, but IMDB says it was released in 1994. Very interesting choice of black and white. Powerful. (Black and white also probably helped hide the fact that she had no bag in the beginning.) I really want to write the next scene, and then the scene after that, and then make it into a full-length feature film. This character is fascinating. Well done, Yvon Marciano, and well done Veronika Varga.
He ran after her because he realized that she had acted out the entire scenario as if that bag had her life in it, when, in fact, the bag did not belong to her.
Quel film de fou ! Veronika Varga est juste à marier, dans ce film ! Quelle beauté ! Et la fin, même si pas mal annoncée pendant le film, reste juste superbe dans son éxécution. On en fait plus des comme ça, aujourd'hui...
EASILY THE BIGHTEST JEWEL IN THE CROWN OF TH-cam VIDEOS like the power of place we gaze and gaze as one right word after another never comes. Taken as a whole and then separated into all is parts, each part strategic and crucial, her answers have more substance and resonance than most full length movies, can a short film so seemig;ly casual be so achingly beautiful. THE INTERVIEWER IS RUNNING AFTER HER AS IF SHE AND ONLY SHE HAD BEEN THE ONE WOMAN HE HAD ALL HIS LIFE LONGED FOR , A LONGING THAT EQUALLED HERS IF YOU READ BETWEEN THE LINES
the First time i see this video and i knew the bag is not hers. a friend of mine send me and told me to not read the commets and my friend told me nothing about this short film. this good
Потрясающе! Талант. Пришла на пробы, импровизировала, ушла и с ролью,и с сердцем мужчины... Впечатление непередаваемое! Все зрители ей поверили, как заколдованные!
It is a poet by Jozsef Attila. She told the first 4 line. Belated Lament My fever’s ever thirty-six degrees and still mother, you’re not with me. Like any loose, easy girl when called at will, You have lain down by Death’s side readily. From the gentle autumn landscape and many kind women I try to piece you together, But there’s no time left as the all-consuming fierce fire grows hotter. As I was returning home for the last time the wars had just ended, And in entangled and ruined Budapest Many shops were left breadless and empty. Crouching on train-roofs I brought you potatoes, While the sack was filled with millet already; Stubborn me, I had got a chicken for you, But you were nowhere to be. Your sweet breast and self you took away from me and gave them to the worms. My, how you consoled and chid your son, but see: False and deceitful were your kind words. As you blew on my soup, stirring it, you said: “You’re growing big for me, eat, my precious, eat”, But your empty lips taste oily dampness now - How greatly you misled me! If only I’d eaten you!.. You brought me your supper but did I ask for it? Why did you bend your back over the washing? That now in a box you should straighten it? See, I’d be glad if you would strike me once more, Now I’d be happy for I’d return your blow; You are worthless for you’re trying not to be, You spoil it all, you shadow. You’re a greater swindler than any woman who deceives and betrays. Stealthily you deserted your living faith You bore out of your loves amid your wails. You gipsy! what you have given, cajoling, In the final hour you stole back the lot. The child feels a quick impulse to swear; mother, don’t you hear it? Tell me off. Slowly light enters my mind and the legend has vanished like a dream. The child that clings to the love of his mother now realizes how silly he’s been. Deceit awaits him who’s born of a mother: He’s either deceived or to deceive he’ll try. If he struggles on, he’ll die of this but if he gives in, of that he’ll die.
If you haven’t yet seen this, don’t read these comments. Spoiler alert. This is a masterpiece.

Thanks !
The best thing we can do as watchers is to like this comment so people's experience of this isn't ruined!
thanks for this!
Thanks a bunch ❤
Such a wonderful short film. It is very sad that Veronica Varga passed away at such a young age. Her performance here is captivating.
wow i LOVE this SO much. Such universality and humanity in it. And Veronika is just breath-taking!
Oh my God her voice so soft and lonely

@@noobmasterolee1084 Obviously it was ready wit but everything she enacted is the story of every woman. All she did was relating to that emotion.

The point it that it wasn't her bag!
What an actress!
Not just that, what an incredible improvisational writer!
Ravi de retrouver ce film vu en 94, à sa sortie. Veronika Varga est époustouflante et le scénario parfaitement écrit. Un court-métrage magnifique...
The end..superb.😂😂 Watch it again and you will fall in love with Emilie Muller😉

I was shocked at the end!

+Ákos Dobrády really? I thought it was pure improvisation, just to make more impro on the line !
It was an improvisation. It was the only question unknown by the actress. She told it in an interview.
Is this set up or real?
