Imam Abu Hanifa was salafi in aqeedah (creed/ideology). Same as the other Imams Akhi. I follow imam Shafi in Fiq, but i am salafi in Aqeedah. What does it mean to be salafi? I am a non-Arab Non-Persian twelver shia. As a shia, I am least bothered about who will rule Syria. Ideally 70% Sunnis have a right to do so. However, while remaining thousands of kilometres away from Syria and Iran, I fear I might be dragged into the conflict and made a party to it if damage is done to syeda Zainab a s. shrine. I would love to see Syria prospering under sunni leadership.However, I will consider it my personal fight if our holy places are damaged or destroyed. The deen is exclusively about the Quran and Prophet Muhammad's Sunnah. Muhammad was sent withe the Quran and its explanation as the Quran itself stated.

The Quran must take priority but many of these khawarij and other extremists follow a merciless extreme interpretation of hadith, which not all is authentic and even if it is, they are applied without the spirit of the Quran, wisdom and within reason.
