Because Lindsey manages to play the flute like she sings: with good tone, sensitive, honest and so beautiful that you're just glued to your seat and can't stop listening. Thank God I found you guys on youtube. I'm listening to your music non stop (especially when I study, calms me down). And it's a disgrace that you don't get more views, talented people deserve more appreciation then this..

Not bad, not bad at all! You took it more in a subtle, wistful longing direction rather than the quiet grief of the original, and it worked. Adding in the flute during the bridge was a pleasant surprise too. All in all, a very good cover.

I love how you guys pick songs that suit your voice. So many youtubers do songs that aren't the most appealing for their vocal range, but you voice is perfect for the songs you choose. :)

Natalie Merchant is easily my favorite artist...heard her many times live beginning in the Maniac Days through her solo career. Motherland is her greatest masterpiece in my view. This is by far the best cover of the feelings behind her work...best cover of her - and best cover by a lot of this song in my view. Well done!

Well when it comes to Natalie Merchant I'm very critical to any cover of her music but I must say you did a good job. You are very close to her unique voice and I say go for it... If you want to sing for a living just give everything you have and work harder then everyone else... give it all of your soul and I believe ill be hearing more of your talent in the future.
Lonnie Kerr, that's some great advice man. If I'd of listened to advice very similar to that and took life more seriously back in the day when I still had youth on my side, I wouldn't of ended up being a busker and getting called a waist of talent by fellow musicians 😔

I love the songs you do where it's just the two of you on a 'live' recording, no overdubbing, no multi-tracking, just Lindsey's voice and John's guitar, such as this, All My Loving, Piece by Pieve, Alleyways and, of course, Hallelujah!
