Infection Tag is a Hollow Knight multiplayer game that's a mix between tag, hide and seek, and zombies! One or two Infected are chosen when the game starts, and they can turn other players Infected by hitting them. The last uninfected player alive wins! Games typically begin by selecting boundaries, usually limited to a couple rooms.

this seems super super fun but also fire's movement is legitimately INSANE
like it's one thing to do these strats if you've practiced them but fire's just freestyling and also straight up doing pvp with the infected without getting hit
the way fire avoided them all at 10:22 was CRAZY!

5:10 that double contact damage kill was actually one of the highlights of this
Lmao that 12 years ago got me at first
That wasn't contact damage, it's just that the damage effect from both of them obscure the nail swing effect (but if you look closely you can see Dwarf's sprite doing the swing animation). Contact damage is definitely disabled considering the amount of times infected and uninfected crystal dash through each other without harm.
if the mod could handle it you could do a full map game of this with a lot op people.
We can finally turn hollow knight into what it was always meant to be. A battle royal!
The only issue I see is that when a player gets hit they kinda freeze and just float, if they could make it so when player's get hit by other players they just get knocked back with no slomo the combat would be way cleaner
The mod can handle that! When the next HKMP update goes live publically, I'm thinking about trying to do an event on the HKMP Discord where there are lots of participants over the entire map.
@@DwarfWoot for the map wide game maybe players should only gain the compass at a later stage of the game. And maybe if only 1 or 2 are left they lose it again? 500v1 hider :p

Fire getting scared of another guy starting as infected when he was infected has the same energy as the bear that gets scared when he suddenly crosses a guy in russia.

now we need Hollow Knight prop hunt, become grass or a bush, but when hit you knight-ify and start looking for everyone else who's hiding

Just want to commend Extreme for being able to avoid getting hit by either Fire or Lyogi at 12:55. Amazing ducking a weaving around those tight spaces, and then finishing off the chase by fireballing Fireb0rn and then dabs away.
Honestly, i feel like the Infected should be able to see each other on the map, maybe the infected could see hider locations with the normal icon, and the infected having their own icon. I just think it would be cool.
however that would take alot of coding...

I could totally see this being a point scoring contest. 10 points for last alive, 5 points for second or third, 1 point for a kill as infected. Play ten rounds, with each person starting as infected once, infected player chooses arena.

Y'know, I have an idea. What if initially, the entire area is open, but at certain time intervals, the area slowly starts closing in, making it more challenging for the uninfected? Dunno how hard it might be to code in, but it sounds like a cool concept to me.

All somebody needs to do in order to end the game fast is get fire infected, because he’ll end the game quick. Getting him infected in the first place, however, it’s a challenge in itself.
My man fire is goated he is the ultimate hollow knight ankle breaker and this video proves it.

Very interesting game type. I really like the win condition of the game being the last one left standing rather than having to survive a certain time limit or something. It makes for a lot of mind-games between survivors. And just makes for a chill hunt for the zombies who don't really have to rush to kill the survivors but it's still fun to do so. I'm not sure if this gamemode would work well on public matchs, since if the first person who spawns zombie decided to they could stall out the game forever, but looks like a fun game to play with friends and what-not anyway.

You know what would be nice for this mod? If it had a point system. Infecting someone would give You 1 point, winning a game 3 or 5, I don't know which would be more fair. Killing the infected would give You 2 or 3. Becoming infected (not as a chosen, but infected manualy by someone else) would also count as death and give You 1 point of death, but dying as infected would give You 2 or 3 point of death, so You would have KD ratio there too. I know it's not really that important, but it would be great nonetheless.
I already love that You can have automatic tag game, instead of "sitting on the bench and swapping Your charms manually" with automatic skins, which was not possible before (because You always had the same skin). I love that mul;tiplayer mode is thriving and expanding. My sister literally started playing Hollow Knight recently and I was telling her about multiplayer mod and that is has some limitations and now I watch this vid with the limitations gone. Probably still there is room for improvements, but man, this is one big step from the previous MP mod.
