I couldn't help but notice the copper water pipes passing through the electrical supply authority's meter mounting back board. All l can say is l only hope that you get paid at the end of the day for all your input into the job. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
So similar to my daughter's ex-council late 1950s maisonette. Structure built to survive atom bomb. Her non-load walls thicker hard klinker block. Pipes, electrics, heating: all showing 3 generations of re-fitting by council direct labour or subcontractors and their do it fast, never mind any diligence methods. Consumer unit here is much more recent than hers
looks like a home owner or potential landlord wanting to get things done cheap. there's an old saying, ' you cant polish a turd' and that's what he's doing. be careful dell. another great video mate.
It’s perfectly fine as it isn’t a substantial load bearing wall, and because it is block the load bearing is also over a greater surface area, the reg your thinking of is on bricks due to the smaller size
I'd be very specific when filling you're cert out. Guaranteed you'll be called back if kitchen fitters doing elects. Do you ever walk away from a job with barge pole in hand😀😀 keep the vids coming.
I mean, I guess it sort of works? If you put a rod in the ground and the gas supply pipe is also in the ground then you're getting some bonding to it through the medium of soil if it's wet enough. Still, it's a weird thing to do, and clearly the person who did it had no idea on how bonding works and what its purpose is. That exposed termination won't last 5 minutes either.
We all know this job will come up smelling of roses when the customer tells you the kitchen fitters are doing the wiring. What's the betting he has you cert the property when the kit fitters have done a runner.
why is there such a big thing about having a single socket ring. my house up until a month ago had a single for whole house. i have ac units and alot of devices plugged still downt get anywhere near 32 amp. most people arent pulling 8kw really ever. only time i can see it being an issue is in a house in which space heaters are used. devices are getting more efficient as time goes on so really we are going to need less capacity.
So long as bonding is in place and no DB issues I would take the job as that is all I'm responsible for. Especially as the flat was empty and he was on his own grab the money!!👍🏾👍🏾
Kitchen being wired by the fitters, that will be a quality job🤣🤣
exactly what I was thinking!!!
I was thinking that as well 😂😂
As long as they are part p qualified, then should be a propper professional job 🤠
@@dannyandrews8930 in theory yes, however in practice could be a different story just like with a registered electrician
Loved the switch to the musical accompanied high speed work! :)
👍
The Black Gloved Maestro doing his magic, love the Vids keep them up

Nice one Del for wiring 2 new legs for the ring while you had the opportunity instead of keeping the crimped legs!!
Wow, I haven't seen one of those MK sockets with the amber neons for years!

Great job mate
Cheers Imran
Is it ok to chase boxes into those thin block walls? I'm sure regs say you shouldn't remove more than 1/3rd the thickness of the wall.

I don't really think that will be an issue he's using LSF cable very easy to see what he's done
7:17 the question is if the earthing systems TN-S , TT , TN-C-S could be combined together ?
You can never be too safe

Get yourself some yoozy boxes Delroy then you can fit all the sockets and they can plaster round them

question, if a house is wired in old black and red, does it have to be changed by law even if its all good and safe??
Get yourself a scutch and mash hammer! old school Del boy!
I'd have condemned the lot and started from scratch.
😆
It's ok saying that, but you would need an EICR to justify your reasons otherwise you could end up in hot water
Cowboy Work Mate.
O my days delroy o my days
👍
'Bonding' a gas pipe to an earth rod which is located literally where the gas pipe goes into the ground is a massive contradiction
I’m not from the UK but where I’m from Lmaoo that be a trap house

Thanks
the way you roll cables together and throw them on the floor is just tell me you are an electrician without telling me you are an electrician.😂😂
Its so much easier to clean up when you are done, if you do it this way👍🏽👍🏽
Wow its a total mess I just wondering why did you still take a job like this to me it would be best for a total wiring
At the end of the day someone has to do the job why not him
So long as bonding is in place and no DB issues I would take the job as that is all I'm responsible for. Especially as the flat was empty and he was on his own grab the money!!👍🏾👍🏾
It's our job as electricians to do the to standard wether or not it looks like this

👍
what's the tune at 8.54?
Details in the description box
I come across that before back to back knock out wall lol
I must be a snob because that just looks nasty (and cold... and cheap...)
Kitchen fitters doing the electrics is bloody annoying... that will be full of nonsense
Who wired this property before he probably watched porn movie while he was doing wiring .
