I am currently researching for my assignment, may I ask if a person has a pending criminal case, but has sufficient money to contribute, is he/she still valid to enter into a partnership?

Generally speaking, any person may be a partner who is capable under the law of entering into contractual relation. However, persons who are suffering from civil interdiction (criminally convicted) belongs to the individuals who cannot give their consent. Thus, no.
