Pep wasn’t lying when he said the media supports Liverpool. Rodri is criminally underrated, came in clutch so many times this season and we legit would not have won it this season without him. So many people have been shitting on ederson, who just picked up his 3rd consecutive golden glove, and while they might suggest that is attributed to his excellent defense, where tf are they in this lineup? Golden glove winner and golden boot winner (who took 0 penalties) both missing, Koop being the manager of the season and Salah being player of the season is complete bs, Salah disappeared after afcon, klopp won 2 trophies, 1 of which we were told was insignificant when we were winning it, and both in penalties.
Put it simply, without Rodri’s contributions, city lose the prem to Liverpool. Without Thiago’s contributions to Liverpool, Liverpool still finish 2nd.
Also, without son, spurs would be playing Europa league football next season
1. I think the reason why City don’t have as many players stems from the way City/Pep works. Correct me if I’m wrong cause I know you go to City games and are a giant fan, but I feel like City rotate more, and are deeper than Liverpool, so Liverpool might have a stronger XI, leading to more TOTY recognition, while city have a better whole squad.
2. I’d also say having Ronaldo in the squad after the stinker he put up is a big no-no, as Kane should be there, but even Jota, Foden, Mahrez, Antonio(sorta) should be there over Ronaldo
