The parchment paper hinge method may be overkill if you have a simple, small design, but if you have a layered design or anything that requires high precision in placement, this method is GOLD!
You can still get the same results on a larger piece if you just use the parchment paper as the ‘hinge’ to stick and roll it. The key to doing so is to make sure it’s positioned right where you need it to go when before you stick it to the cup with the transfer paper.
So fun. Please do more! Also can you show how the Cricut cuts with the wheels on? Please I’m wondering if the vibration will make it move and the cut be off. Thanks
The hinge method is amazing. But you shouldn’t put the parchment paper under it all. You need a little to stick down when you like the placement. Just helpful tip. Great for layering. The lint roller with breaking when removing is what I’ve seen without even a dollar store one. I have to say best has been masking tape and painters tape. Helped me a lot with curved surfaces when I was starting out.
I love the looks on your face . . . the look of confusion when watching the TikTok trying to figure out how they did it . . . then the look of happiness when it WORKED!!!
I absolutely LOVE this video. It also shows a different side of you with the surprised look on your face when the hacks actually work. Would love to see more hacks.
I really like this type of video. It was really fun seeing you try tic tac hacks (haha). I do believe with the parchment paper, you leave a little exposed bit of the transfer tape at the top (or side), align your design, then stick the little bit of exposed transfer tape, then remove the parchment paper. But either way, it works treat with aligning up vinyl layers too.
I would love to see you do more of these "experimental" hacks. I was making a pretty large sign for a friend's kitchen, and as you know, once the permanent vinyl gets on your piece, that's pretty much it. Well, I ruined it but did a second on with the parchment paper hack, and it was perfect. Have used parchment paper with everything that I have made since then.
I use the hacks that you showed all the time. I put the wheels on my maker. I love it, but I had to put a stop on the back edge of my table so I don’t push it too far back. I just put a couple of command hooks with the hook facing forward on the back edge of my table and put a dowel rod through the hooks so it makes a fence to hold my maker on the table. I love the ease of using the wheels and don’t have to worry about it going off the edge.
I am glad those Cricut hacks worked for you!! 🤩👏🏼 It was fun watching you react to my TikTok videos and testing them out!! It definitely made my day haha! 💛
i can’t wait to use the parchment paper back when making large acrylic wedding signs! it can be so hard to line it all up perfectly (especially seating charts with all the names), this will be so helpful!
I want to do the wheels one. I have a extremely limited space and I have to pick up my Cricut and move it every time I want to use it. It is a big hassle to lift it up and move it away from the wall and then lift it to put it back. Someday, I hope to have enough room that I won’t have to do that LOL. Thank you for reviewing these hacks and proving them to be good or not.
As a newby (just got all my set up done yesterday and am going to do my first project today) I have been binge watching your videos for the last week. I have learned so much and I feel your help is going to make my experience a big success. I love this video and I know the parchment paper is an answer to one of my biggest issues causing me anxiety. Thank you so much for all your help.
Love love the wheel hack.. I have a small multi purpose craft room/ office. This would be great. Ordering them today. I have already used parchment hack. I use it a lot to line up my layers projects.
Yes, please do more Tanner. I liked watching your surprised look when they actually worked. The Cricut Maker is heavy and I have a small space to work with but now that I know I can add wheels, I think I'll try it. Yes, please show us once you have tried to cut with the wheels on. I want to know if it moves or throws off your design. Thanks!!
Love that Tic Tac 🤩😂😂 I’m amazed they all worked - especially the lint roller. Good to know I’m a pinch. I would imagine the 5th wheel would be good for support over time, to disperse the weight- more out of wheel longevity then anything impacting the Cricut I use the parchment frequently when layering
I think this was brilliant, Tanner! Thanks for trying these out. One always wonders if they will really work, but sometimes you don't want to sacrifice your supplies to prove or disprove it... thanks for taking the guesswork out of it for us! You're the best!
A month later I’m seeing this. Love this and your contagious excitement. It makes the videos so much more fun to watch and learn from. I did learn the parchment paper hack but I leave I tiny bit of vinyl showing above it so that when it is lined up you can stick the vinyl down and then pull the rest of the parchment paper out. Keep up the great videos and these TikTok hacks are the best.
I already had metal plate, plastic wheel, casters from Amazon used in another project. I used industrial strength Velcro and attached four. Gave me height, easy mobility to move my machine to and from the wall, and I can reposition the wheels easily should I need to. It's my favorite hack so far. P.S. - With regards to the Dollar Tree lint roller; Do a swipe or two over your shirt or pants, and then use it as transfer tape. No little pieces, and perfect transfers in a pinch.
This guys is great! His genuine and authentic reactions to each hack had me smiling and chuckling the whole time! He’s entertaining and I can’t wait to watch more videos. I subscribed to your channel!
I put wheels on my maker, it does not roll while cutting and great when u have to move it to weed , cut vinyl, use a computer or do something where it might be in the way on a small Wk space :)
As I type this, I am awaiting the arrival of my first Cricut to arrive. I purchased the Cricut Maker from Cricut. These videos are priceless to me for learning. I was just as awestruck as you, Tanner. Face agape.."Shut the door!" I am keeping ALL 4 hacks to put to use. Thank you so much for these videos, keep them coming, please.
I have to say I loved this video. You seem so much more down to earth than older videos. Calmer I suppose which is refreshing. It didn’t seem “too much”, I don’t mean to be rude at all it just seems more authentically you know. Great job and yes I love these kind of videos!
I have had wheels on mine since a week after I got it. It cuts just fine. Cutting doesn't make it move. It doesn't move until I move it. It takes more force that cutting to move it.
Wow, im impressed with how these hacks work. I have always said stuff on tik tok is so far fetched and most everything never works, but im glad to see that these tik toks are very useful. Thanks for the video !
Ok, listen... this is off topic but I feel like it needs to be said. I've been living with depression for 30+ years. I've chased more treatment options than I can count, some more successfully than others but nothing really stuck. I've put on a fake smile to be a little more "normal" but the effort is exhausting. I've come to accept that I am who I am and that means I lean toward the quiet dark sadness of my mind. That said, Tanner, you are infectious. You make me smile, and that's no easy feat. You are a soft, warm light. This is all kind of cheesy, I know, but I guarantee I'm not the only one who feels this way. Thank you for being you. 🥰
The parchment paper hack is called the hinge method. It works REALLY well on large designs and layering. The wheels are super awesome and something I plan to do because my warranty has expired, but just be aware that it can void your warranty.
I'm very curious - how could little sliders or wheels like that - which are only stuck on with a bit of gluey tape - void a warranty? They're not damaging the machine, or messing with anything inside it.
This was so awesome!!!! Yes!! Please more TIKTOK Hacks with Tanner, I just love the whole team, you all are so good at what you do and I love that you all want to share the knowledge, and love with us, this was so fun!! I love being part of this new Magical Community. Im so happy I joined the Membership as well!! I've learned so much already, and I've only had my Cricut for a few days, Im so exited to keep learning for you all. Thank YOU!!!!!!
Love the TikTok testing. You should upload these on to TikTok, even if some don’t work put them on. The DT vinyl comparisons too. Everyone loves TikTok!!!
Sue Wolfe- I would love to see more videos like this . I'm amazed at the lint roller hack. It's good to know, in a pinch! I wonder if you'd need the 5th wheel for a Maker, since it's a bit heavier??
WHAT?!?!?! Those hacks worked great!!!! I loved this video!!! Yes, I would absolutely like so see more TikTok hacks!!! I was totally routing for all these to work!! Great video Tanner!!! Thank you!!! I'll be looking for more hacks for you to try! 👏👍💙👏👍💙👏👍💙👏👍💙
I love this video! Please do more. I’m a Tik Tok fan and often wonder if the backs actually work! Thanks for being the mad scientist and doing the experiments!
The wheels thing I did using larger casters from the hardware store. They were meant for application with screws only and weren’t flat on that surface so I used birch wood and epoxy to create a flat surface to put my command strips on to install. Ballin!
I'd love to see more videos like this also. The parchment paper hack works great for layering:). Especially since I'm still learning. I love the wheel idea since I made a craft table with a large piece of wood. It'd be great to move the cricut easier!!
The parchment paper hack is awesome! Whoever came up w/ that idea is the bomb! I thought about putting wheels on my Maker, but after seeing your take, I'm actually not sure I'd want to do that. I'm nervous about the maker moving all over the place while cutting. Love the idea of the wheels, but still a bit hesitant. I think I'd need to see it in action before committing to the idea. Great video! Thx!
I love the wheels! I have placed wheels on most of the things in my crafting room so that I can easily move things around or out of the place. I think I want to try this, because the cricut machine is so heavy this will make it so much easier to move it around.
I’m literally laughing at his responses 😂. I’ve had my Cricut since last year and using it until now. The vinyl applying is a pain and I’m looking for an easier way to apply rather than weeding letter by letter😫 Def trying the lint roller and parchment hack.
I loved watching these hacks. I am going to most definitely do the wheels! I am always moving my Cricut Maker back and forth to make room for other crafting projects. . Great hack! Thank you, Tanner! Have a blessed day!
I think the parchment paper hack may be my favorite! I don't need wheels on my Cricut and I'm worried it would negate my warranty since I just got mine. However, it was amazing to watch and I want to see more of these hack videos!
My first Maker's Gonna Learn video! I am learning how to use my Cricut (sat in the box for 6 months 🥺 because I was so intimidated.. Didn't know of all the resources. Us "old" people, almost 60 😳, aren't used to TH-cam or all that's on it. Wow!) But am loving all of your other ideas too. Loving all of this. Now subscribed and liked. Looking forward to watching many more. As I text I am now watching my TV and set it on TH-cam with your door mat/flex seal idea. Such great ideas! Thank you.
Oh WOW!!! They all really worked! I love this style video and yes please more Tik Tok hacks! I’m loving you back in front of the camera instead of behind it and behind the scenes! Tanner…you are the best!! You make the videos more fun and interesting!
First, Tanner you just make me smile! I love this video so yes do more! I actually have had wheels on my Explorer 2 almost since I got it and I love that it rolls. It is still sturdy and no it does not move around when cutting. Thanks for doing this! I loved your expression when they worked!!
Great hack video! I've wanted to try out the parchment paper hack but was skeptic. Thanks for that segment. I also want to do the wheels on my machine. I only have so much space, one table, in my craft room. Being able to push my machine all the way back gives me the ability to use my table after weeding and for other crafts is great. It's an awesome hack.
Hi there, I used wheels from Amazon for my maker 3 and it works great. I use the parchment paper hack to place a large print on a t shirt, to get it in the right place the first time. I'm gonna try the lintroller hack for sure. And the paper flower hack is one I'm surely gonna try if I make more then a few flowers. Greeting from the Netherlands ❤
The drill hack looks like a major time saver if you are making lots of flowers. I have used the parchment hack when doing layers of vinyl. It lets you line up perfectly without the risk of misplacement.
Parchment peel- cut a small strip of the parchment off to expose some of the sticky to allow you to line up the design and then stick it down when it's aligned- peel back parchment slowly while burnishing down.
I love the idea of wheels on my cricut because I have very limited space on my desk, and when I use the cricut I have to pull it forward to the front of my desk to allow the mat enough room on the backside of the cricut when cutting; especially with the longer mats.
When you say hi, I'm Tanner. You totally need a group of young adults saying "hi" tanner back to you. Like the old 50's mouse club. Lol that would be so fun. Love the hacks. You sold me on the wheels.
I really want to try the parchment paper hack. My concern about a rolling Cricut would be it's mobility while cutting. I'm still dubious. I love this kind of video.
I used the lint roller once because I had a removable glitter vinyl for a decal, and my regular transfer tape wasn't strong enough to hold the vinyl. The lint roller was stronger than my transfer tape and saved the day!
Liked watching you response as you did each hack! I'll try a couple. The parchment hack works well. Wondering about the wheels though, my space is so limited & I don't like lifting my explore air 2 (very bad back). What about original "Tanner" hacks? Feel confident that you've developed a few over the years...
I have been watching video's where he uses parchment paper for layering vinyl and wanted to try it. Glad it worked for you, that encourages me to try it more. Loved all the hacks.
Love some of these! I knew about the parchment paper hack and that is amazing when dealing with large designs. I actually feel the wheels under your Cricut is pretty cool and seems like MGL needs to do that. It would help in lives if you need to move it. I like these videos and that they are recorded. I can't always make the Lives and the recorded ones seemed to be shorter. Keep 'em coming!
With the parchment paper method, it would be easier to do if the paper is a little smaller than the transfer tape. It also helps if you have about 5% of the image not covered with the paper as well. If you use your fingers to hold the part that doesn’t have the parchment paper off your project, you can line your image where you like it. When you have it in the spot you like, then burnish the 5% not covered with the paper down. Then flip up the image to expose the parchment paper to peel up a corner, you then flip the image back over the project, slowly peeling the paper away. Burnish, peel off transfer tape and your done. I love this method.
I’ve added the wheels to my circuit machine because I saw this before and it is amazing. At least for me, especially since I constantly need to move my circuit away from the wall to cut.
@@leaann65 Nope. I've had no issues having the wheels on it. The Cricut itself is so heavy so even while cutting it stay in place and only moves forward when I use force by hand to push it (at least for the ones I am using). Also I did see some people have concerns regarding the warranty for it with adding these on. I, personally, see no issue as the method I used utilizes 3M tape so it peels right off, leaving the Cricut unharmed.
Great video tanner. I recently printed and cut stickers for my glass food containers and used parchment to get them all straight and the same height, it’s a hack everyone should know about, thanks for highlighting it 👍
Hey Tanner! I'm new to your channel and had so much fun watching this with you just now. Your smile is contagious💜 I smiled with you. Thank you for posting this. I learned a lot.
Thanks so much for actually trying these hacks. It definitely provides a hands on experience before trying myself and wasting materials, time and money. So, yes! Please do more of these hack trying videos.
Came for the hacks, stayed for Tanner's shocked and astonished expressions when they worked. 😂
Same lol
“HOW BOUT THIS?!” 😂😂😂
Loved it
My favorite is at 17:35. XD
YESSS! He won me over.. I subscribed because he so genuine! Unscripted..
Ditto! New subscriber here. Can't wait for Tanner's next video!
The parchment paper hinge method may be overkill if you have a simple, small design, but if you have a layered design or anything that requires high precision in placement, this method is GOLD!

@@Lacroix999 exactly... had he not trimmed the excess transfer tape, it would have worked even better.
So fun. Please do more! Also can you show how the Cricut cuts with the wheels on? Please I’m wondering if the vibration will make it move and the cut be off. Thanks
I’m think the same thing since the vinyl and mat go in and out
I would think you'd need to get the caster wheels with locks on them
Yes, I'm curious also!
I’m also very curious how it cuts with the wheels 😁
I was thinking the same thing!
I do every vinyl project with parchment.. it has made things SO much easier to line up!
I absolutely LOVE this video. It also shows a different side of you with the surprised look on your face when the hacks actually work. Would love to see more hacks.
I love your enthusiasm, Tanner, & your surprised expression when each of the hacks worked. Added real joy to my day xxxx

I use the hacks that you showed all the time. I put the wheels on my maker. I love it, but I had to put a stop on the back edge of my table so I don’t push it too far back. Pretty neat! Michael David on Mr. Crafty Pants uses the parchment paper hack on the regular. Cool series! See more for sure.

Aww!!! Thanks so much!
I love all these hacks and Tanner’s presentation of them.
So glad you love it!
OMG. Your faces were priceless when they worked! Loved this!
I really enjoyed watching this. It's nice to see someone we know we can trust testing them out.
So glad you enjoyed it!
I loved that video! Try the ones that you can’t believe really work, from TikTok.
I would like to see you do more sublimation things.
Tanner as I do not tic tac I would love more of these as I watch you! 😍
Amazing Cricut Tik Tok Hacks Tanner!
Definitely would LOVE to see more! 🤩🤩🤩
Awesome video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! 🤩
Any time!
First, Tanner you just make me smile! I love this video so yes do more! I actually have had wheels on my Explorer 2 almost since I got it and I love that it rolls. It is still sturdy and no it does not move around when cutting. Thanks for doing this! I loved your expression when they worked!!
Thank you so much for the compliments!
On of the first of your videos I watched The whole thing, much more doable and approachable type of video than any other.
Thanks for watching!
Love the wheels for the Cricut!! I also really like the way Tanner did the video. I would definitely like to see more of this type of videos!!
Thank you for the feedback! Thanks for watching!
Love the parchment thing for layering and putting on decal on glass!
The drill hack looks like a major time saver if you are making lots of flowers. I have used the parchment hack when doing layers of vinyl. It lets you line up perfectly without the risk of misplacement.
Love you demonstrating the hacks. I would love to see more! Great job!
Parchment paper is awesome for applying vinyl and layering vinyl too.
This was fun and useful. Thanks!
Definitely would love more of these videos. It was awesome. And will definitely use these hacks especially the parchment paper and the wheels.
Your videos bring me so much joy, just listening to you makes me feel happy - you’re awesome! ☺️
I love this kind of "test the hack" video! I am amazed that all of these worked.
Loved the wheels on the cricut! I had to laugh when you were watching the cricut cut the vinyl. I do the exact same thing!🤭
I really want to try the parchment paper hack. My concern about a rolling Cricut would be it's mobility while cutting. I'm still dubious. I love this kind of video.
So glad you love it!
I’m learning soo much, keep the videos coming. Thank you for sharing these wonderful tips!! I enjoy your enthusiasm.
You're welcome!
I’ve added the wheels to my circuit machine because I saw this before and it is amazing. At least for me, especially since I constantly need to move my circuit away from the wall to cut.
Does your Cricut move/vibrate when you’re cutting with the wheels on it??
@@leaann65 Nope. I've had no issues having the wheels on it. The Cricut itself is so heavy so even while cutting it stay in place and only moves forward when I use force by hand to push it (at least for the ones I am using). Also I did see some people have concerns regarding the warranty for it with adding these on. I, personally, see no issue as the method I used utilizes 3M tape so it peels right off, leaving the Cricut unharmed.
@@maimiura Awesome. Thanks!
Great video tanner. I recently printed and cut stickers for my glass food containers and used parchment to get them all straight and the same height, it’s a hack everyone should know about, thanks for highlighting it 👍
Great idea! Thank you!
Hey Tanner! I'm new to your channel and had so much fun watching this with you just now. Your smile is contagious💜 I smiled with you. Thank you for posting this. I learned a lot.
You're welcome!❤
Thanks so much for actually trying these hacks. It definitely provides a hands on experience before trying myself and wasting materials, time and money.
So, yes! Please do more of these hack trying videos.
