@Xmanny87 if they produced waves with smarter retooling and more carefully researched deco, I'd gladly pay $30-$40 for each, depending on size. But they're not doing themselves any favors with these lazy releases.

Really wishes they give us a Havok X-factor using vulcan body with his previous jacket, arms and legs from morph/cyclps vhs so they match the summer family in their similar bodies 😅

I'm still waiting for the red w/ yellow 'X' costume Jean Grey to kind of finish out my preferred version of that team (1.5), since we've already gotten Archangel and Cyclops, Iceman, and Beast on the retro-carded format... Plus we still need freaking Wolfsbane and Val Cooper, maybe Doc Sampson(?), to finish the X-Factor 2.0 up...! Hasbro is SO DAMN SCARED to finish up a team, out of fear that someone will stop collecting suddenly, when in reality, it's their $#!tty business practices and poor design choices that are literally causing people to stop buying their products. I might get some hate for that statement from a few people, but I don't even care because it's true...

@Xmanny87 I'd say the only thing I noticed thar you missed is you didn't show how short astonishing cyclops is compared to other cyclops figures! I don't have it in hand yet but from another review i saw he was even shorter than bucky Cap cyclops
@@JoeyBcollects yeah that was mainly due to time constraints as I didn’t want this video to pass 38 minutes. It was long as is so wanted to give more attention to the details in the sculpt. So I left I decided not to since those bodies will be phased out for cyclops going forward.

I didn't order Chamber or Kid Omega, but I have recently seen some cool headswaps, especially for Chamber, so I will be going back for them. It's rare for me to complete a BAF. I've finished maybe 8, and I'm a 29 1/2 years Collector!
For me I’ll be getting Emma and Corsair. As for Ch’od I love big characters but he is criminally small like you said. I really can’t say anything to defend Ch’od here like for real... his red belt? lol everyone keeps saying Hasbro dropped the ball on this wave or this BAF but what we’re all lying about is that we’re the ones buying it... To quote the great Obi-Wan Kenobi: “who’s more foolish? The fool or the fool that follows him?” I think it’s clear that we simply have to stop supporting this BS. That’s why as much as I wanted Ch’od I really can’t justify completing this wave. Great video as always Manny!

this wave is pretty good overall. they are slowly but surely phasing out pins. With Fang we now have a completely pinless mid sized body that’s not Vulcan
Legends is so close to being good. Cyclops is proof of that. If we could get more unique sculpts like that, and if they could pack in more accessories then it'd be there, but it's not and so it's why I'll pass on most of these, sadly. More of them end up like Ch'od than Cyclops. Spot on reviews and critiquing
Pretty good wave overall, think I',m in for Scott. Btw, according to what robo showed on his review of them, scott's smoking optic effect is removable.
Did you know that the effect in Cyclop’s visor is removable, and if you look inside of the visor, there is red embedded inside of the glasses deep inside, it’s apart of Cyclops‘s head sculp and there isn’t any piece of red inside when Cyclop’s head is removed and you look inside. In fact it is a shiny red so it stands out nicely.
This Fang was a huge missed opportunity because Daken/Akihiro uses this uniform in the current continuity- could have packed him with an Akihiro head and some clawed hands and he’d be the appropriate height for the figure you just reviewed.
You earned a new subscriber btw. I think your criticism of Hasbro is fair without being too negative. It really shows that the complaints come from a place of love and passion rather than a negative echo chamber. Great review.

Really great review Manny. The Cyclops and Corsair look really good and I was surprised how much I like the look and articulation of Monet. The others in the wave aren't really for me personally although I'll definitely pick up Emma as she does look good just a massive shame that her entire top half is pretty much useless thanks to a poor cape choice but do you think it's possible the maybe detach it at the front so she can move a little more and use the plug at the back to keep it in place? As for the BAF..... yeah everything you said was spot on.
It looks detachable and I’m sure someone will find a way to make a soft good wired cape for it. I just don’t want to risk it for now in case it gets messed up.

The worst part is Dwight and his team trying to convince everyone that they are selling an awesome reasonably good product, but in fact, they sell hot garbage. Hey man! Thanks! Yeah I have the shipment in. I’ve just been behind due to my schedule. I won’t review all of them but I’ll give my thoughts from the ones I purchased in the video. I do plan on doing that.
From my perception I think this is the best Emma Frost so far. It included a new mold that can differentiate it from the others, even though I think it lacked more proportion, the heels are better and fix that mistake of the female figures with heels, because with them seemed to have the same scale as a Marvel Select. My areas of opportunity without a doubt are the cape that is made of a horrible plastic and not having double articulation in the arm, I think it should be a crime not to make the figures with double point articulation. The sculpted face is by far the best of Emma Frost, it has personality and is charming, those who don't really like it is because they don't know Cassaday's art. I definitely think Hasbro is getting better and better and I hope they give us the definitive Emma in the future.
Great review. Definitely wanted to get the Monet, Chamber, Corsair, and Cyclops when the wave was announced, and was initially tempted by the Emma Frost until you pointed out all the flaws. The others are meh and that BAF is a disgrace so not even worth getting the others for the sake of completing it...
Great massive review, my friend! I just got Emma, Corsair, Fang and Ch'od. I really don't understand why Hasbro is so lazy sometimes. I don't see a problem on reusing parts, but they could definitely create a new pair of 4 finger hands for Ch'od. The size is not exactly a big deal to me, but the paint job does not exists. It seems it's the natural plastic mold, right? Maybe I'll ask to a friend to give him some paint job. Regarding Emma, another great mistake: plastic cape! Man, they already did so many fabric capes for Star Wars figures. This particular Emma design requires a fabric cape to give mobility to the figure. The head sculpt is great, totally John Cassadays' style.
I ordered the Cyclops and Emma cause I have the original Astonishing Figures from like 2008-ish, and I was in like 5th grade back then, so I wanted to feel some of that nostalgia. I know the Emma has its issues, but I'm still really stoked for her

I'm literally contemplating getting this Emma, cutv off the cape, sculpt fur shoulders and have it sit up there and basically turn this into a classic White Queen using paint and tools.
Hasbro's cloth goods have only ever been cheap junk. I can't even imagine how they'd have gone about securing it to the figure given the nightmare of Banshee when viewed from the back. She's not a character known for dynamic posing anyway, so given the options, I'm glad to have the restrictive but nicely sculpted plastic cape.
Not all their soft goods were like Banshee. look at Hela and Gamora for example. I’d rather have a posable figure than a statue. Also, reading an infinite amount of comics with her in it she is definitely a stylized poser. Especially when she’s fighting. I would suggest you go and read more about her. She’s done some crazy fights and has great offensive and defensive maneuvers. Her fights against Hulk being one of many. As a hardcore X-Men fan I can confidently tell you that she’s known for her dynamic posing.
Besides Kid Omega I really love the character selection. Super Syked for Gen X My biggest beef with not just this wave but all recent waves, is the lack of accessories particularly lack of heads. I'm concerned theyre removing accessories to make up for the packaging pivot.
I Collect all ML x men and the only figures I was excited for were the starjamer and the Emma frost ones, monet is really good too, the rest not my favorite ones, I love cyclops but with the classic one from the 90's I own I own I am pleased
I’m still mad about the Ch’od baf. They could have added back fins and modified the mold a little to match the character. I’m only buying Cosair and waiting until someone makes a better Ch”od baf. 😂
They really did Ch’od dirty. Not only is he highly inaccurate he’s not even the right size. The scale of the bigger characters is all over the place anyway. When the only way we could get bigger characters was through BAFs they made them all kinda the same size. That’s why our now standard Hulk body is so much bigger than our only versions of his nemesis the Abomination. It makes me especially mad when characters like Sasquatch who are supposed to be huge are still smaller than Hulk. Hulk’s size changes sure, (stays around 7-8 feet) but Sasquatch is literally 10 feet tall. He’s huge. He should be taller than almost anyone else. Yet is he? No. And I guarantee it’ll be a long long time until we see another Sasquatch figure. If anything they’ll just rerelease the BAF with a new head.
I had that same Wolverine figure and bike as a kid. Learning that Fang is the size of Wolverine is infuriating. 100% blow up Hasbro, 1 step forward with stuff like Cyclops and 2 steps back. I don't know who is calling the shots. Fwiw Cyclops was always called Slim so I always think he should be taller than the Vulcan or bucky Capt.

Cho'd cool, But Hasbro should have taken their time, Astonishing Cyclops and Emma are great, But I might get Emma and Monet from this wave, I also need to get the Outback Rogue as well as the Uncanny X-MEN #275 Gambit, Psylocke, and Banshee 3 pack for my own Legends collection.
Great video xmanny. Piss on the positive police I say. Understanding how much you adore the X-Men, I can only imagine your disappointment in this wave. Certainly not a good wave to start the X-Men 60th with. Cyclops looks like a Top 10 action figure of 2023. The one thing I did notice was that Emma's angry portrait looks awfully familiar to Marjorie Taylor-Greene.
This wave is like on a different scale for some odd reason, Corsair and Cyclops should be at the same size, Emma cape is a dissaster, will be better like the old version removable. At this point I think Harding and Dwight are a wrong combo. I don't like their idea for Banshee, I don't like this idea for Emma, Dwight even ruined Marvel Girl, I think he just lost his mojo on this, he even created that hideous duck.
You know they don’t really follow scaling like that in the line. Lol. And yeah, maybe they’re not a good combo. Dwight kill’s me with his long ass arms. He’s king of the long arms lol. Look at this Chamber and the upcoming rose. He’s got a track record from previous figures as well.

I've been waiting for a good Emma Frost...I missed out on the Hellfire Club set and refuse to pay the ridiculous after market price for it besides that clown make up on the head sculpt for that one is scuffed.......but I guess I'm still waiting. ....maybe I'll run across that figure second hand someday and get a custom head for her or maybe Hasbro will release a decent version of her at some point......disappointing for sure
Not one extra head sculpt is super lame. I agree that this wave feels rushed. Also, I would have liked Kid Omega put in a different wave, swapped with an updated Danger or Sage would have been cool.
Definitely. If they did a wave from the New X-Men comics then he would’ve fit better there. I know he was in Generation-X but not in the 90’s since he first appeared in 2003 and didn’t join till later on. But yeah, Sage would be a cool figure to see.
I was so bummed about the quality of chamber. He technically doesn’t have a lower jaw so giving his energy the beard look was Uber disappointing. Throw in those Picasso proportions and the nails cemented in the coffin. You’re saving me money with this review holmes 🙏 I doubt it’ll ever happen but if Mezco were to take a stab at this character, keeping in mind how utterly fantastical their Ghost rider is, that would be absolute top dollar I would commit to

Welcome to the 50/50 wave. Hasbro was like what would the creature of the black lagoon look like on steroids 😅 with Ch'od, Fang hit a growth spurt (Gonna make a custom Werewolf by Night with the head sculpt), why not use the Ghost Rider arms on Chamber (cool head sculpt though)...., and we get our first Emma Frost Legends statue. M, Omega, Cyke, and Corsair are definitely the highlights. Awesome review and always a pleasure to watch a Manny highlight reel ✌️✌️
Ch’od was sadly over looked they might redo him in a exclusive box set if fans vote with there wallets the latest avengers wave got double hands in each figure. But mutant wave got over looked. I don't care about this version of Cyclops, nor about Kid Omega or Chamber, but unfortunately, I need them to complete Ch'od... who I'll be working on to correct what I can, I guess... some yellow paint at least & maybe a big gun 🔫 or weapons selection, fins, if possible... I'll use the Chamber body for a custom, Cyclops and pinky will be gotten rid of... Also, Corsair's sword is a "Cutlass", a "swashbuckler" would be what he and Nightcrawler are when they are sword fighting ("swashbuckling")... Just in case you didn't know and/or wanted to know, my Manny!😅
I’m only buying figures now if they’re correct. If they don’t do 💯 , then they lost my business. The prices are going up and we’re all getting less. Another BAF I won't complete because I have no interest in Chamber or Kid Omega. Another Wave where most of the Figures are good, but then they have to throw a couple of bad ones in. Why couldn't we have gotten a Hephzibah and still another member of the Imperial Guard? Actually, Fang is a deceased member anyway.
True but Fang will always be cloned or replaced from a member of his race. He’s still needed for the Imperial Guard. Ideally, a Shi’ar villain would’ve made sense here like D’Ken, Eric The Redd or Deathbird.

The Chamber arm complaint was weird, because you complain about his arms being too long and they should stop mid thigh...and you show on the video the figures stop mid thigh, not at the knee like you said in the video. Also, the complaints about M's boots, if you look at the artwork, that's literally how the boots and the knee guards are drawn. While you do have a point about Fang being listed at 5"4" he wasn't really drawn that way, but as for reuse of the costume, they really wouldn't be (modern wise) using a reuse of the body on Wolverine, they'd be using it on his son Daken, who currently has the codename of Fang and was given the Imperial guard costume of Fang as his current modern look. And finally as far as Ch'od goes, the trunks are black in the comics, but it's the typical using blue to highlight.
This wave and it's inaccuracies or slop is just baffling. It's not like putting Fang on the wrong body saved the money. Why new abs for Corsair? Paint where it's not needed. It's so bizarre. Like they wasted money for no reason and then cheaped out where it would be glaring. I hate wanting to really love things and then they're just wrong.
Good way to spend your money. They put more effort in on those Avengers products then this wave. It felt rushed. If you did want one from this wave just wait for clearance.

Hasbro is SO DAMN SCARED to finish up a team, out of fear that someone will stop collecting suddenly, when in reality, it's their $#!tty business practices and poor design choices that are literally causing people to stop buying their products.

@Xmanny87 I'd say the only thing I noticed thar you missed is you didn't show how short astonishing cyclops is compared to other cyclops figures! I don't have it in hand yet but from another review i saw he was even shorter than bucky Cap cyclops
@@JoeyBcollects yeah that was mainly due to time constraints as I didn’t want this video to pass 38 minutes. It was long as is so wanted to give more attention to the details in the sculpt. So I left I decided not to since those bodies will be phased out for cyclops going forward.

To quote the great Obi-Wan Kenobi: “who’s more foolish? The fool or the fool that follows him?” I think it’s clear that we simply have to stop supporting this BS. this wave is pretty good overall. they are slowly but surely phasing out pins. With Fang we now have a completely pinless mid sized body that’s not Vulcan
We came very close to an all comic pinless wave. So hopefully we see that for the next comic wave reveal.

Legends is so close to being good. Cyclops is proof of that. If we could get more unique sculpts like that, and if they could pack in more accessories then it'd be there, but it's not and so it's why I'll pass on most of these, sadly.
More of them end up like Ch'od than Cyclops.

Btw, according to what robo showed on his review of them, scott's smoking optic effect is removable.
Did you know that the effect in Cyclop’s visor is removable, and if you look inside of the visor, there is red embedded inside of the glasses deep inside, it’s apart of Cyclops‘s head sculp and there isn’t any piece of red inside when Cyclop’s head is removed and you look inside. In fact it is a shiny red so it stands out nicely.
I do know that but didn’t know that at the time I filmed the review.
This Fang was a huge missed opportunity because Daken/Akihiro uses this uniform in the current continuity- could have packed him with an Akihiro head and some clawed hands and he’d be the appropriate height for the figure you just reviewed.
You earned a new subscriber btw. I think your criticism of Hasbro is fair without being too negative. It really shows that the complaints come from a place of love and passion rather than a negative echo chamber. Great review.

Really great review Manny. The Cyclops and Corsair look really good and I was surprised how much I like the look and articulation of Monet. The others in the wave aren't really for me personally although I'll definitely pick up Emma as she does look good just a massive shame that her entire top half is pretty much useless thanks to a poor cape choice but do you think it's possible the maybe detach it at the front so she can move a little more and use the plug at the back to keep it in place? As for the BAF..... yeah everything you said was spot on.
It looks detachable and I’m sure someone will find a way to make a soft good wired cape for it. I just don’t want to risk it for now in case it gets messed up.

From my perception I think this is the best Emma Frost so far. It included a new mold that can differentiate it from the others, even though I think it lacked more proportion, the heels are better and fix that mistake of the female figures with heels, because with them seemed to have the same scale as a Marvel Select. My areas of opportunity without a doubt are the cape that is made of a horrible plastic and not having double articulation in the arm, I think it should be a crime not to make the figures with double point articulation.
The sculpted face is by far the best of Emma Frost, it has personality and is charming, those who don't really like it is because they don't know Cassaday's art. I definitely think Hasbro is getting better and better and I hope they give us the definitive Emma in the future.

Great review. Definitely wanted to get the Monet, Chamber, Corsair, and Cyclops when the wave was announced, and was initially tempted by the Emma Frost until you pointed out all the flaws. The others are meh and that BAF is a disgrace so not even worth getting the others for the sake of completing it...
Great massive review, my friend! I just got Emma, Corsair, Fang and Ch'od. I really don't understand why Hasbro is so lazy sometimes. I don't see a problem on reusing parts, but they could definitely create a new pair of 4 finger hands for Ch'od. The size is not exactly a big deal to me, but the paint job does not exists. It seems it's the natural plastic mold, right? Maybe I'll ask to a friend to give him some paint job.
Regarding Emma, another great mistake: plastic cape! Man, they already did so many fabric capes for Star Wars figures. This particular Emma design requires a fabric cape to give mobility to the figure. The head sculpt is great, totally John Cassadays' style.

I ordered the Cyclops and Emma cause I have the original Astonishing Figures from like 2008-ish, and I was in like 5th grade back then, so I wanted to feel some of that nostalgia. I know the Emma has its issues, but I'm still really stoked for her

I'm literally contemplating getting this Emma, cutv off the cape, sculpt fur shoulders and have it sit up there and basically turn this into a classic White Queen using paint and tools.

Hasbro's cloth goods have only ever been cheap junk. I can't even imagine how they'd have gone about securing it to the figure given the nightmare of Banshee when viewed from the back. She's not a character known for dynamic posing anyway, so given the options, I'm glad to have the restrictive but nicely sculpted plastic cape.
Not all their soft goods were like Banshee. look at Hela and Gamora for example. I’d rather have a posable figure than a statue. Also, reading an infinite amount of comics with her in it she is definitely a stylized poser. Especially when she’s fighting. I would suggest you go and read more about her. She’s done some crazy fights and has great offensive and defensive maneuvers. Her fights against Hulk being one of many. As a hardcore X-Men fan I can confidently tell you that she’s known for her dynamic posing.
The kid omega gun looks exactly like a nerf gun. Not as an insult but it is literally the Nerf vagabond. Kinda cool.

My biggest beef with not just this wave but all recent waves, is the lack of accessories particularly lack of heads.
I'm concerned theyre removing accessories to make up for the packaging pivot.
I find it unacceptable for this wave to not have any extra heads. I know they’re going back to the widow packaging but something’s gotta give.
I Collect all ML x men and the only figures I was excited for were the starjamer and the Emma frost ones, monet is really good too, the rest not my favorite ones, I love cyclops but with the classic one from the 90's I own I own I am pleased
If I get the Cyclops one I will cut the smoke effect off so I can have him displayed in a more relaxed or neutral position

They really did Ch’od dirty. Not only is he highly inaccurate he’s not even the right size. The scale of the bigger characters is all over the place anyway. When the only way we could get bigger characters was through BAFs they made them all kinda the same size. That’s why our now standard Hulk body is so much bigger than our only versions of his nemesis the Abomination. It makes me especially mad when characters like Sasquatch who are supposed to be huge are still smaller than Hulk. Hulk’s size changes sure, (stays around 7-8 feet) but Sasquatch is literally 10 feet tall. He’s huge. He should be taller than almost anyone else. Yet is he? No. And I guarantee it’ll be a long long time until we see another Sasquatch figure. If anything they’ll just rerelease the BAF with a new head.

I had that same Wolverine figure and bike as a kid. Learning that Fang is the size of Wolverine is infuriating. 100% blow up Hasbro, 1 step forward with stuff like Cyclops and 2 steps back. I don't know who is calling the shots. Fwiw Cyclops was always called Slim so I always think he should be taller than the Vulcan or bucky Capt.
It really is infuriating about fang. The figure could’ve had a higher replay value if done the right way.

Certainly not a good wave to start the X-Men 60th with. Cyclops looks like a Top 10 action figure of 2023. The one thing I did notice was that Emma's angry portrait looks awfully familiar to Marjorie Taylor-Greene.

This wave is like on a different scale for some odd reason, Corsair and Cyclops should be at the same size, Emma cape is a dissaster, will be better like the old version removable. At this point I think Harding and Dwight are a wrong combo. I don't like their idea for Banshee, I don't like this idea for Emma, Dwight even ruined Marvel Girl, I think he just lost his mojo on this, he even created that hideous duck.
You know they don’t really follow scaling like that in the line. Lol. And yeah, maybe they’re not a good combo. Dwight kill’s me with his long ass arms. He’s king of the long arms lol. Look at this Chamber and the upcoming rose. He’s got a track record from previous figures as well.

I've been waiting for a good Emma Frost...I missed out on the Hellfire Club set and refuse to pay the ridiculous after market price for it besides that clown make up on the head sculpt for that one is scuffed.......but I guess I'm still waiting. ....maybe I'll run across that figure second hand someday and get a custom head for her or maybe Hasbro will release a decent version of her at some point......disappointing for sure

Definitely. If they did a wave from the New X-Men comics then he would’ve fit better there. I know he was in Generation-X but not in the 90’s since he first appeared in 2003 and didn’t join till later on. But yeah, Sage would be a cool figure to see.

Hasbro was like what would the creature of the black lagoon look like on steroids 😅 with Ch'od, Fang hit a growth spurt (Gonna make a custom Werewolf by Night with the head sculpt), why not use the Ghost Rider arms on Chamber (cool head sculpt though)...., and we get our first Emma Frost Legends statue. Another BAF I won't complete because I have no interest in Chamber or Kid Omega. Another Wave where most of the Figures are good, but then they have to throw a couple of bad ones in. Why couldn't we have gotten a Hephzibah and still another member of the Imperial Guard? Actually, Fang is a deceased member anyway.
True but Fang will always be cloned or replaced from a member of his race. He’s still needed for the Imperial Guard. Ideally, a Shi’ar villain would’ve made sense here like D’Ken, Eric The Redd or Deathbird.

The Chamber arm complaint was weird, because you complain about his arms being too long and they should stop mid thigh...and you show on the video the figures stop mid thigh, not at the knee like you said in the video. Also, the complaints about M's boots, if you look at the artwork, that's literally how the boots and the knee guards are drawn. While you do have a point about Fang being listed at 5"4" he wasn't really drawn that way, but as for reuse of the costume, they really wouldn't be (modern wise) using a reuse of the body on Wolverine, they'd be using it on his son Daken, who currently has the codename of Fang and was given the Imperial guard costume of Fang as his current modern look. And finally as far as Ch'od goes, the trunks are black in the comics, but it's the typical using blue to highlight.
This wave and it's inaccuracies or slop is just baffling. It's not like putting Fang on the wrong body saved the money. Why new abs for Corsair? Paint where it's not needed. It's so bizarre. Like they wasted money for no reason and then cheaped out where it would be glaring. I hate wanting to really love things and then they're just wrong.
I gotta agree that this is a weak wave, I am going to pass on this one and save money for some of the avengers products coming out soon.
