  • Ron & Jan built out a home and business to be off-the grid (DC home appliances even), including a large through-the-wall oven accessible in their kitchen. With solar thermal heating their beneficial pests insectary, they breed and sell good bugs to take care of bugs in the wrong place. Farms can stop most pesticide use with millions of beneficial pests. And no, they don't rent out anteaters!

It certainly does! It made me wonder what happens in the winter if you leave the oven door open does that add heat to the house?

Could be -- my visit with The Frugal Green Girl illustrates how one attempt at extra room heating with DIY solar set up lead to it doing both, just hanging out a window -- th-cam.com/video/40eVigEwzYY/w-d-xo.html
