as a PS myself, I learnt it's an all rounded leader mentor and guardian in my journey althought it's alot if thick and thin and managing each and every one fair and dear, until these guys say ROD and they wrote me a cool farewell card when they went uni and I was so proud of them remembering me. that make my day in that tour of duty before I posted to another unit.
Oh man Maju Camp looks quite different today, 9SIR (2PDF) Inf Trooper here and we share that 6SIR building (left side of “Protector of Peace” ) 5th floor shag life but never as shag as 6SIR troopers going outfield nearly every week from what I’ve seen 😂, tough times don’t last, tough men do!
@Chewingboy All the rifles and machine guns in training and exercises fire blank rounds, meaning there is no bullet in the round, the case only contains gunpowder. When the trigger is pulled, the gun's striker in the bolt hits the bottom of the case and sets off the powder. This is what makes the gunshots and effect of shooting. Hope this helps!
@chaingang90 I think its called Blank-firing adapter. Its attached to the muzzle when using blanks. I doubt paintball can simulate the recoil effectively.
Platoon sgt is the shittiest appointment to hold in platoon. I had a group of 14 specs choosing who among them to go for PS course by randomly drawing 11Bs.
@cibwins The policeman is issued a MP5 9x19mm submachine gun. Policemen on patrol always carry a 5-shot .38 Special revolver in their holsters. On NDP, the police contingent is issued with H&K MP5.
@chaingang90 That's the MILES laser attachment used to simulate hits. Soldiers wear laser receivers to indicate if they're hit. If a soldier is hit by the laser, the medic can easily identify the wound. It uses information from the weapon like the caliber and ammunition type to illustrate the range. I don't really know if the BFA on the bullpup SAR-21 is the same as the M16, although they use the same 5.56x45mm ammo.
@Chewingboy The rifles and machine guns in training and exercises use blank rounds, its a black plastic bullet than contains only gunpowder. When the trigger is pulled, the gun's strike the bottom of the bullet and sets off the powder. This make the smoke and recoil feel in the gun.
@Chewingboy There will be one laser attach to your rifle and a few reciever on your heat and body> You will see those guys helmet got thing coming out at the side. When you squeeze the trigger, the laser will shoot out a "beam" and hit your enemy receiver. IF you are hit a buzzing sound will come out and the media will know where you are hit and will attend to u accordingly. Hope this help.
@cibwins Because its proven in combat? Its the primary weapon of the British Special Air Service. MP5 is light, accurate and utilizes the Johnson stock design like the M16 family of rifles, the in-line bore with the stock significantly reduces recoil. Not sure about the SAR 21 because of its bullpup configuration.
LOL this is where 6sir fought with 4sir right? i was there defending the 1st building they are attacking. the 1st building was taken by platoon 9 6sir.
6SIR was previously under 2PDF before they were transferred over to 3Div. They were the pioneer infantry unit tasked with POI operations in the 2000’s era before 9SIR was created. In short, 2PDF created 9SIR to replace 6SIR for POI operations as 6SIR exited and returned back to being a traditional light infantry unit
@RevolutionVic no that console enable you to so call 'perform' buddy aid on each other, after you have physically done so, it is to simulate and to update your system that your kinda 'healed'. you are free to study whatever you want, on your free time, im guessing that guy is doing his o levels as a pte candidate and studying in camp for it thats all.
@Quest19991 yeah pretty much as in 3 sir will go through atec and 4ntm as shown in the vid as well, but 6 sir generally spends most of their time doing poi duties as thats their specialisation. 3 sir specialise in urban ops.
@SpecJack15 i know there blank firing adapter is the little metal bit that covers where the flash suppressor normally is. So what's the small box thing beside it?
erm may i ask how can i get selected to do these Operational duties like in this video they patrol the Changi Airport etc? As in can you apply or must u specially get appointed? Because its so cool to serve these duties!
ya compare life in combat unit with that other guy in tekong. tekong sgt do what shit? stand there, point and shout only. hello? 6 sir already got it good. spend most of their time doing poi duties. hell of a easier time than full infantry units like 2sir.
@Quest19991 All the best man! 3 Sir has a reputation of being the Best Infantry Unit for the past few monos including mine. It's quite shiong. But 2 years will past by fast!
May I know how the shooting of the guns work? is it the SAF uses paintball pellets as real bullets during the practice sessions? :O Someone pls enlighten me! :)
The sand model looks like FIBUA...This ATEC look's very slack. Our ATEC have to take field pack and assault pack including any additional weapons we're assigned to.
All walks of life, What do you mean. All walks of life. When they die, Your life will be better ? You are suppose to teach them. Of course they do not want to learn. As always. You sure about that ??
@RevolutionVic Why? you want to see stewardesses everyday is it? lol. who doesn't right. tell you the truth, it depends on your luck really. for example they might posted you to Nee soon camp, then few years later than they post you to airport. For NSF, one of the criteria maybe they see you where you live. who live in eastside near airport got the chance first. But remember this is NS. not all you want, you'll get.
as a PS myself, I learnt it's an all rounded leader mentor and guardian in my journey althought it's alot if thick and thin and managing each and every one fair and dear, until these guys say ROD and they wrote me a cool farewell card when they went uni and I was so proud of them remembering me. that make my day in that tour of duty before I posted to another unit.
I guess it still holds true that the best commanders always go to the units
THIS IS THE BEST EP FOR THE EPILOGUE
This gentleman is charismatic!

Hi Neighbour. Haha

Good job on PS Lemuel!!

Quite sad that none of the boys became a medic. Ah, the most undervalued profession. :(
sianz
interesting to see a medic holding a matador... 2:47
辛苦了

we call it chocolate bars
@Chewingboy use of paint is kind of rare. these guys are shooting blanks, the rifles have this laser attachment on the rifle
@cibwins Yep, around 900 grams lighter. SAR 21 is made from impact-resistant polymer, so its a very light assault rifle.
I Saw Douglas At My Reserrvist Camp! he is a 2LT now.
@Chewingboy The rifles and machine guns in training and exercises use blank rounds, its a black plastic bullet than contains only gunpowder. When the trigger is pulled, the gun's strike the bottom of the bullet and sets off the powder. This make the smoke and recoil feel in the gun.
Damn,it's my camp +.+

So fast 2nd sergeant
@blooduhz ok thanks for the comment and to be noted :D Cheers !!!
After 3 years , I wish I could see more unshown footage of this ATEC stage 1, was part of Bravo Coy Platoon 4 in the background haha
@cibwins Because its proven in combat? Its the primary weapon of the British Special Air Service. How come 6SIR wear 2PDF formation badge?

@Meltosonic Most undervalued profession is field engineer la. Medic so important every unit need medic. And so slack some more.
@Quest19991 All the best man! 3 Sir has a reputation of being the Best Infantry Unit for the past few monos including mine. It's quite shiong. But 2 years will past by fast!
