Getting old is a happiness! There are people who are not lucky enough to grow old because they died at a young age. So I happily accept old age when it comes.
I don’t mind getting old. I just don’t like the aches, stiffness and lack of normal flexibility. I get tired easily and don’t like all wrinkles. But otherwise, it’s better than the 2nd choice.
78 here. Gave up caffeine finally a few years ago. Bad drug. Vasoconstrictor. Having fruits for breakfast with 1000 mg vit C. Gave up sugar and fried anything. Having proteins and lots of vegetables in the day. Avoiding potato, banana, rice, wheat, having Millets in evening only. Following food combining, Feeling young. Joints free. No nasty heart things. No breathlessness while going up hill. Gave up smoking cigarettes at 43. And pot at 75! Never cared much for alcohol. Kept physically active in middle age. Learned to sit for meditation in my twenties. Had ten years of celibacy and many decades of a healthy sex life. Music. Use urine therapy. Consult doctors for diagnoses only. Etc. Anyway - feeling great. Writing a lot. Have young friends. Live in the now. Here's to happy ageing. 😎

Oops they are actually here. we need to take ourselves less seriously the older we get. I do like the fact that I don’t care as much what people think. Love to all, and keep your sense of humor.
Some people grow older and stay the same; Others grow older and better with every passing year; While some just get OLD. I'm going for better. So far, it's working.
I once met an 82-year old man. Looking at early photos of him, he looked quite plain, but over the years, he'd gradually developed character, leaving him more attractive in advanced years than in his youth. That's the way to do it!
If you get up in the morning and nothing's dropped off during the night, it's a good day.

50 year class reunion: Same ole people just new teeth!
Good one greggie
"I have become 80. I cannot recommend it, and will never do it again." Otto Kuhler, industrial designer, locomotive stylist.
Aging gracefully is an art form, isn't it? 😄
Yeah...but poohy on it!
A friend's birthday invitation announced "AN EVENT EIGHTY YEARS IN THE MAKING!"
I am 78. If I knew I would live that long I would have taken better care of my self. That is an old quote but I often think it.
Age is a privilege we often realize too late. Taking care of ourselves should always be a priority, regardless of our age.
The years have been good to me.
It's the weekends that caused all the damage....
Time is a great teacher. Unfortunately it kills all it’s pupils.
Age is just a number leaping up..
feeling forever young at 78..😊🌹
Absolutely! Age really is just a number, and staying young at heart is what matters most. Love your positive attitude at 78-it’s inspiring!
I’m 77 and the future isn’t like it used to be.
It's funny being the same age as old people.
I think the never aging Satchel Page almost defeated the aging process...what a fabulous character. Never look back!!!⚾️
i am 78, it is really funny made me laugh
Beautiful quotes! And I love this one, too:
Franz Kafka: "Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old."
(Seems to me as if I had missed the exit in time😂)
Don't worry about the timing, it's never too late to start seeing the beauty around us.
Yes! Thank you!
I have many bruises that my wife's elbow gives me when I look at the beauties around me. 😒
But a few bruises are well worth it. 😎👍
I was asked at church “ how are you doing today ? “. I replied “ it’s too early to tell “ .
Loved it. Keep em coming.
Thanks! Will do!
In my dad’s golden years, he would say old age is not for sissies. It always made me smile. He lived life to the fullest till 91 and I pray I have his sense of humor in my golden years. Oops they are actually here. we need to take ourselves less seriously the older we get. I do like the fact that I don’t care as much what people think. Love to all, and keep your sense of humor.
The ability to laugh at oneself is precious - & seems to be a rare commodity these days!
I kept laughing!
Me too! Laughter truly is the best medicine!
Everything I buy comes with a lifetime warranty.
Getting old isn’t so bad. Everybody wants to carry stuff for you.
And receive deliveries that failed because you...1, Didn't hear the door bell. 2. Were asleep.
The turning point in life is when you stop lying and saying you're older, but start lying and saying you're younger...
Some people grow older and stay the same;
Others grow older and better with every passing year;
While some just get OLD.
I'm going for better. So far, it's working.
I once met an 82-year old man. Looking at early photos of him, he looked quite plain, but over the years, he'd gradually developed character, leaving him more attractive in advanced years than in his youth. That's the way to do it!
some good ones
Ty for the best belly laugh in eons! 😅 Keep up the Great work! ❤
Laughter truly is one of the best medicines, especially as we get older.
Old age is when you see more of your doctor than your family! 🙂
That should have been one of the quotes. "Brilliant" 😂😂
Asking a young person why they're not married yet is like asking an old person "Why aren't you dead yet?"
In some cases it is just as bad.
Ha!
Getting old isn’t for the weak and young 😉
