Tony Hawk joins Dan and Gav to film a rare skate trick he’s only landed a handful times. See even more high-flying 4K tricks on The Super Slow Show, only on TH-cam.
Aleksandar Delic pretty cool story for you. The local skate park in my small South Carolina town is being closed down and Tony Hawk reached out to the owner to help relocate the skate shop.
When you get to tony hawks level, it stops becoming a choice and kind of becomes a nessecity. Almost all vert skaters wears kneepads so they can slide, and when you become old like tony you need all the pads you can get
My favorite part of these videos is how genuinely besides themselves Dan and Gav are. Like... the calmest version of fan boys I've ever seen. They just look like they want to be bouncing up and down.
What blows my mind is that the _legendary Tony Hawk's_ kids are jealous of the _legendary Tony Hawk_ because _legendary Tony Hawk_ is with the Slo Mo Guys! What a legend. xD
I agree. A lot of people don't realize that some of the most successful people got to where they are due to torturous amounts of practice. Tony Hawk is no exception.
@Immortal Bentron True but it serves a really good purpose showing him fail over and over then succeeding as one does in skating and life. 2 birds 1 stone i suppose.
You can tell how experienced he is by his slides. Yes, they often come after messing something up, but his failures are so graceful and fluid that it never comes off that he's in any danger of injuring himself. He makes a mistake but immediately regains control.
sliding like that is how you avoid hurting yourself after a bail, trying to use your feet is always a bad idea. That's why vert skaters wear such huge knee pads and pull their socks up over their shins to avoid "burning" them on the ramp. Also riding vert is probably the most painless type of skateboarding once you learn these slides and definitely why guys like Tony Hawk and Bob Burnquist are still doing it today. I never really skated a vert ramp but I mostly did mini ramp skating, ~6 foot half pipes :)
I was a bit worried about him hurting himself since he's getting on in years, but he slides so effortlessly. I guess he's probably fallen close to an actual million times, so it's just like walking for him.
5:50 What blows my mind is that the _legendary Tony Hawk's_ kids are jealous of the _legendary Tony Hawk_ because _legendary Tony Hawk_ is with the Slo Mo Guys! What a legend. xD
Most of the time when shows become a "TH-cam Original" they loose what they used to be and the feel of what it used to be but this has kept that, or even improved it! Love you guys keep it up. P.S also it's great that your doing videos way more often now.
I personally don't like it as much as their regular videos - I love the "homemade experiments" feel of their normal videos, but these are still great content and it's cool that they've got a budget and team to do things they wouldn't normally get to do!
Evil Paragon 2 most of these are on purpose. Many of these shots don't need extreme slow motion like older experiences, and i think it's great that this gives them the opportunity to try things new
Tony Hawk is 49 years old(Older then my own father) and he still is the best skateboarder I know at least. And I love how he still loves his passion for skateboarding at his age
I don't really feel it ruins it, it enhanced it now that you, the eye of an editor, picked it up. and now by explaining it, you've made it even better for us, the uninformed masses. Good job!
How can anyone dislike this video? Seriously Tony Hawk is such a humble guy and still a legend at the same time. Not to add he's 49 and still fitter than most the people watching I imagine.
Tony's turning 50 in 3 months and he's still got it. It's incredible, honestly. And that's not even mentioning the CRAZY 900 he hit back in 2016. Legend!
Ah Tony. The living legend. So much nostalgia running in my head right now. Going back to play Tony Hawk Underground 2 just for remembering how awesome you are.
LOVE Tony Hawk. So awesome to watch him. And yes, I've spent so much time play his games (mainly #2), but I love Rodney Mullen as well. It would be cool having him in slow-mo.
Guys thanks for the awesome video ! You should do another similar one, but with Rodney Mullen. His flips technique deserves some SlowMo if you ask me :)
So amazing! He could have easily picked a trick that he can nail first try, but decided to pick a trick that could very well have taken many many attempts. That's impressive character right there.
Dear, Lord that was perfect. Wow the commitment and dedication is mind blowing... I kinda like skate boarding but this video made me appreciate their skill level a lot more.
“Click here to see Dan get slammed by pro wrestlers” “I have no memory of that” “You may have landed on your head a just bit” “Is that why I woke up in the woods” “No comment”
I appreciate seeing people like Tony Hawk have to try something a few times before they get it right. It shows that even pros aren't perfect all the time.
tony hawk is such an inspirational guy, he doesn't seem that arrogant just really passionate about the sport and doing what he loves and just seems like a pretty regular guy
You guys get the best guests omg Also Tony hawk is almost 50 and still the effing coolest guy in the world - he can still do these stunts and that’s incredible
I don’t understand why in the begging he has a cast then when they get there he doesn’t. Like yes they could have recorded it at different days, but like, I would have assumed they would put out the one where he got hurt first lol
I wish they did more tricks in slowmotion instead of just the one; this probably took like a half our max to film at Tony’s, so they deff coulda asked him for a 720 or something
The fact he can pull that off at his age just goes to show, you're only as old as you feel. Back in the day, he'd be near death at his age and lucky to have lived that long. Now we have people doing impossible skateboard tricks at almost 50. Tony Hawk is a God amongst men.
I only know Tony Hawk from the games that I sometimes forget he is a real person, like how Colonel Sanders was a real person and not a fast food mascot.
These guys look so much like Phineas and Ferb 😍😍 I loved that show! With Gav being like Phineas doing all the setup and brainwork and Dan being like Jumping into Jellies and volunteering. Love these guys!👌👌
I feel like Tony Hawk must be the biggest skateboarding fan who wants to share passion for the sport and just happens to be famous skateboarder.
Aleksandar Delic pretty cool story for you. The local skate park in my small South Carolina town is being closed down and Tony Hawk reached out to the owner to help relocate the skate shop.
Josh Pryor what town
Oai On Aiken, SC
Aleksandar Delic6
His passion makes him famous. Notice all you hear is skateboarding. He doesn’t flash his money or foundation or anything. Just his passion.
I love how even though he is one of the most famous and skilled skateboarders, he still wears a helmet and elbow and knee pads! A true role model!
he's a professional after all
When you get to tony hawks level, it stops becoming a choice and kind of becomes a nessecity. Almost all vert skaters wears kneepads so they can slide, and when you become old like tony you need all the pads you can get
He'll have seen what happens to guys on vert ramps who don't wear a helmet...
Even cooler when you realize Tony Hawk is 49.
he looks older
Mallika Banerjee Wow
He still awesome
Mallika Banerjee 49th like, coincidence?
Definitely.
Even more ridiculous when you realize he is older than 15.
He's such a humble dude! You can't have anything, but love for Tony Hawk.
As a kid
My favorite part of these videos is how genuinely besides themselves Dan and Gav are. Like... the calmest version of fan boys I've ever seen. They just look like they want to be bouncing up and down.
"Literally everyone I know is going to be more jealous that I'm here with you."
That line got me
What blows my mind is that the _legendary Tony Hawk's_ kids are jealous of the _legendary Tony Hawk_ because _legendary Tony Hawk_ is with the Slo Mo Guys!
What a legend. xD
The super slow show is about meeting your childhood idols, but in slow motion
The Robo King truuuuu
It's nice that you guys showed the first attempts. Failing repeatedly is the essence and spirit of skating!
Also the essence and spirit of succeeding big.
I agree. A lot of people don't realize that some of the most successful people got to where they are due to torturous amounts of practice. Tony Hawk is no exception.
"If you're not failing, you're not trying hard enough."
@Immortal Bentron True but it serves a really good purpose showing him fail over and over then succeeding as one does in skating and life. 2 birds 1 stone i suppose.
49 yo still got it!
almost twice my age and could run circles around me for days
Rodney Mullens was older if I remember correctly. & He never slows down! I believe it. I just hope I'm that healthy & athletic at that age.
avoqado89 49? Dudes looking elderly for 49.
Mister Dinner Tony Hawk isn't forgetting things or hunched over with a walker so no
I was wondering how old he was and was about to look it up. Thanks for saving me the time! lol
That slide down after he aced the trick was so smooth
You can tell how experienced he is by his slides. Yes, they often come after messing something up, but his failures are so graceful and fluid that it never comes off that he's in any danger of injuring himself. He makes a mistake but immediately regains control.
yeah exactly, every time he fails I'm expecting people to run to him see if he's ok but he's like nothing happened I'm cool!
sliding like that is how you avoid hurting yourself after a bail, trying to use your feet is always a bad idea. That's why vert skaters wear such huge knee pads and pull their socks up over their shins to avoid "burning" them on the ramp. The Viewer formerly known as Prince easier said than done, sherlock.
I was a bit worried about him hurting himself since he's getting on in years, but he slides so effortlessly. I guess he's probably fallen close to an actual million times, so it's just like walking for him.
As a kid growing up, I heard Tony Hawks name all the time and as an adult that loves the Slow mo Guys, this is amazing
The legend still has it!
once a legend always a leegend
Legend has it that the legend still has it
5:50 What blows my mind is that the _legendary Tony Hawk's_ kids are jealous of the _legendary Tony Hawk_ because _legendary Tony Hawk_ is with the Slo Mo Guys!
What a legend. xD
No mater how cool people think your dad is, you'll spend your childhood thinking his lame. No mater what awesome stuff he does.
Most of the time when shows become a "TH-cam Original" they loose what they used to be and the feel of what it used to be but this has kept that, or even improved it! Love you guys keep it up.
P.S also it's great that your doing videos way more often now.
lose*
So fricking true.
I personally don't like it as much as their regular videos - I love the "homemade experiments" feel of their normal videos, but these are still great content and it's cool that they've got a budget and team to do things they wouldn't normally get to do!
They're not as slow as their normal videos.
Evil Paragon 2 most of these are on purpose. Many of these shots don't need extreme slow motion like older experiences, and i think it's great that this gives them the opportunity to try things new
Those airbourne shots are nothing short of *awesome!*
SDG Danny o
Nah, I'd say they are *aweso-*
Du er på alle videoer jeg ser på😂
SDG Danny slow motion dirtbike jumps

Tony hawk is a absolute beast
safwaan chand an* btw
Tony Hawk is 49 years old(Older then my own father) and he still is the best skateboarder I know at least. And I love how he still loves his passion for skateboarding at his age
So how long have you known him?
Waaiaiaaaaaaaaaaiaiaiaisisisi what
I love the production quality of these episodes. Makes it feel like a TV show!
Thank TH-cam for that
It is a youtube original
That's because it basically is. TH-cam made these with the same budget tv shows are made on.
I prefer gav's editing tbh
Ben Thunder dude... that’s why it’s called the Slow Mo Show, key words SHOW!
When I was a kid I used to say "When I grow up I want to be like Tony Hawk" now that I'm old I still want to grow up to be like Tony Hawk.
I actually love the slow show
The Sights Family it's the Super Slow Show dude
Whyyyy
Same.
Hundreds and hundreds of tries just to land one trick, I never had that kind of patience and dedication. That's why Tony Hawk is the greatest
He's turning 50 this year!
jekanyika nice mandelbrot
He turned 900 years ago
brb gonna cry
Looks good for 50👌
Dan and Gav's commentary on the side while Tony was annoyed was hilarious!
Tony Hawk Pro Skater was my childhood! Awesome video
That was cool and all....but did he collect S-K-A-T-E?????
I wonder if he collected all of the video tapes too?
I actually lol´d
he places the tapes and letters for us to pick up
I'm afraid he didn't :o
lemme rewatch and see
he missed one
3:26 5:31 I love that victory slide.
Like a boss.
3:11 there’s no one in the world who I trust more than Tony Hawk saying I got it about a skateboard trick no matter how hard it is
Wow! Superb capture of a Master in action!
Haha, the sweat continuity. 1:53 he has a tiny patch, then at 1:55 his whole shirt is wet. Those pickup scenes. =P
I didn't expect to see you here lol.
oh yeah whole video ruined now
Well it could be a diffrent take of the shot then. Then the editor could of chosen the best one
The trained eye of an editor. Nice spot!
I don't really feel it ruins it, it enhanced it now that you, the eye of an editor, picked it up. and now by explaining it, you've made it even better for us, the uninformed masses. Good job!
Tonys getting old but fairplay to him he’s kept going 👌🏼🔥😍
How can anyone dislike this video? Seriously Tony Hawk is such a humble guy and still a legend at the same time. Not to add he's 49 and still fitter than most the people watching I imagine.
I still play your tony hawk games they're amazing
Thps4
Thank you
I have them all
I was playing THPS2X today
Very clever & innovative thumbnail border!
“Do you know how fast you’re going?” “Not sure, 15, 20 maybe”
How fast can you go on your bike?
30
30 what?
30 speed
OsoTanuki meanwhile your RPG character can go 100 speed
After watching Tony Hawk for almost 3 decades, this made smile like child at Christmas. Great stuff :)
"click here to see dan against pro wrestlers"
*points to tesla coil episode*
Tony's turning 50 in 3 months and he's still got it. It's incredible, honestly.
And that's not even mentioning the CRAZY 900 he hit back in 2016. Legend!
I'm just waiting for the episode where Dan breaks his wrist.
Tony Hawk’s still got it. Living legend.
The most 90's video on your channel
God bless Tony hawk, and also his son Riley, a worthy successor to his legacy.
Yeah Riley is one of the most badass skater actually
6:25
Dan's hand
GOTCHA!!
Rohan Grant it's not below the waste line
Dan gets to punch us all in the arm.
not below the belt sry dan has to get punched
:/
how does this video ONLY have two million views i do not get it. everything about it is amazing
I feel like he just wants to go to sleep
He looks tired, yeah
Looked like they cleaned dribble off his front between 1:20 and 1:25
Jackson Golz I feel like he’s always had that look.
Right he definitely looks like he's mainlining that skateboard ;-)
Ah Tony. The living legend. So much nostalgia running in my head right now. Going back to play Tony Hawk Underground 2 just for remembering how awesome you are.
1:21 Tony's face "He! Not funne"
Every episode you guys put out is fascinating, entertaining and educational. But now Tony Hawk?! You guys rock! This is poetry in motion.
I'm impressed by how good Tony is at failing! Try, after try, after try always lands safely and then back at it again!
Love the music, he's the reason I started skating and the reason I started listening to a lot of great music!
Tony Hawk Pro Skater (64) was and still is my life!!!
Scharwi totally!
Yup. That blue cartridge and that awesome soundtrack. The proskater series as a whole was so good.
LOVE Tony Hawk. So awesome to watch him. And yes, I've spent so much time play his games (mainly #2), but I love Rodney Mullen as well. It would be cool having him in slow-mo.
You must have a high budget with this show
MINI Kitch well, Gav does have like 5 tv's and a small mansion to himself...
Casey Barnes also TH-cam is paying them for this soooooo
Well they are millionaires + TH-cam is paying for these shows
Casey Barnes Small mansion? I thought he just had a house in Austin.
Casey Barnes he lives in an apartment in Austin....
Guys thanks for the awesome video ! You should do another similar one, but with Rodney Mullen. His flips technique deserves some SlowMo if you ask me :)
Barb will like this title I think.
These vids from you are the best on TH-cam right now!!! Shout out Toni hawk. Legend
What happened to the other camera angle?
Tony Hawk is a legend! Thank you slow mo guys!
"Hello, I'm Gav" "I'm Dan"
Ben Thunder someone should make a compilation of them saying that
Welcome to "The Super Slow Show"
Ben Thunder and your ben
“I’m Tony Hawk”
Yes you said that on a previous video. Do you have any imagination?
So amazing! He could have easily picked a trick that he can nail first try, but decided to pick a trick that could very well have taken many many attempts. That's impressive character right there.
Jesus get the poor guy a towel
Are u a christian of jesus
@@babatunde6080 he's talking to puerto rican

Nytron Gaming oops, I think I might have turned on closed caption by accident
Nytron Gaming omg! You saw the video too? Can you type the rest of it for us so we can all see what they said in the video?
Yep. 6:25 Dan’s hand is in a cast.
Tony Hawk is literally the coolest grandad on the planet.
whenever i say 'i feel old' i remember tony is still doing some awsome tricks, and im only in my 20s T_T
I appreciate seeing people like Tony Hawk have to try something a few times before they get it right. It shows that even pros aren't perfect all the time.
When a 49 year old is way better than way younger people
tony hawk is such an inspirational guy, he doesn't seem that arrogant just really passionate about the sport and doing what he loves and just seems like a pretty regular guy
Perfect, thanks to the slow-mo I should now be able to do this.
The best thing about the show is that the reactions can't be scripted!! I just love that❤
I was just watching a lot of Slow Mo Guys videos and I didn't even realise that this was a new one. Great timing.
You guys get the best guests omg
Also Tony hawk is almost 50 and still the effing coolest guy in the world - he can still do these stunts and that’s incredible
That's legit!
That was so rad! It's always a great time watching Tony Hawk in action.
Still waiting for the video where Dan breaks his wrist
Same!
Same here.
Didn't he do that at the end of the one where he gets shot through a wall
that's already happened.. LOL.. the episode where they jump through a GLASS wall, they said Dan tried it and injured himself.
I don’t understand why in the begging he has a cast then when they get there he doesn’t. Like yes they could have recorded it at different days, but like, I would have assumed they would put out the one where he got hurt first lol
Probably the the best current Show on TH-cam at the moment!
What a legend!
That was one way to Ramp Up the entertainment. Thanks for showing the "almost" as well as the Nail'd it.
I wish they did more tricks in slowmotion instead of just the one; this probably took like a half our max to film at Tony’s, so they deff coulda asked him for a 720 or something
NJP695 you gotta remember hes like 50 now, he probably doesnt want to throw his back out lol
They can't afford him for that long haha
Mase Schlegel He can still 720, he was doing 900's a few years ago
You mean the 900! =P
NJP695 he would 720 in one or two tries this is so much harder
tony's a freak of nature...dude rolls in and stomps trick on his 3rd or 4th try. rips harder and goes bigger than majority of younger riders. insane.
Hey this guy kinda looks like Tony Hawk
Not funny.
@@cursedvideos.mp32 you misspelled very funny
Cursed Videos.mp3 lol as if you decide for everyone what’s funny and what isn’t

iCeMaN tHe BeSt Is this for real?
I can only hope that when I reach 49, I will have the same energy for my passion that Tony Hawk does for his.
Please make a video which does
“Hello I’m Gav and I’m done”
*Video ends*
that would make them lose half their subs due to how bad that joke is, and likewise you should feel bad for making this joke, please leave
scoutiano Sorry man!
I’m learning English hard but it seems my skill is not enough to say joke yet!
...I liked the joke
So did I
Maybe in April
so... you need to do this many videos ALL THE TIME... I love it
My life goal is to be at least half as cool as Tony Hawk is by the time I'm 50.
Tony seems like such a nice dude. Lots of respects to him :D
I only know Tony Hawk from the games that I sometimes forget he is a real person, like how Colonel Sanders was a real person and not a fast food mascot.
I'd for sure eat Tony Hawk buffalo wings and drink Tony Hawk masala chai at least once.
You mean KFC cowboy? He’s not real...
Love the new videos. the ramp up in production is awesome!
Did Tony learn this at *boarding* school?
Pun - isher ugh that hurt why would you do this
Kayleigh Lee
Fight pun control
Dammit, Barb!
Shut up
I’m waiting for the one person that doesn’t get the joke
Friggin Legend! Great episode! Hawk is the best.
“Hello I’m Gav”
"And we need these producers to come up with some interesting slow mo ideas"
"hello Im Tony Hawk"
I am in love with this show now.Keep it up.
Tony hawk looks old and sad, but he still skates like a madman
MD raider sad, wut?
He is a living legend.
Da fudge happened to his eyebrows...
He looks like he might be sick, let's hope it is just a cold.
idk anything about skating... but maybe an injury clocked his face?
These guys look so much like Phineas and Ferb 😍😍 I loved that show! With Gav being like Phineas doing all the setup and brainwork and Dan being like Jumping into Jellies and volunteering. Love these guys!👌👌
I was honestly thinking 2 days ago of how you guys should do skateboarding and here we are...... SIMULATION!
You can't help but admire someone like Tony. What an inspiration.
Initially read that as "Tony Hawks", and thought it was odd that an aging comedian was in the sports episode.
Tony Hawk is still a legend - don't ever stop skating dude :)
