whoa. this made our day. Thanks!
This is just miles ahead of any virtual instrument I've seen, awesome work..
Swam is way better
As a personal musician: Friedlander was already a great (VI) instrument...Today, With Joshua Bell Violin: it is 99,99% absolutely perfect and i am so confident with Embertone that i bought this new instrument without hesitation.
I am really more then satisfied with my new (virtual) violin, it allow me to dream that i can, now, "play" violin like my grand father did for the children that we were all...
It is almost the "taste" of my childhood :) Thank you for that!
james blinth does the Joshua Bell have the same controllable vibrato that Friedlander does? And now a year on do you still enjoy this VI or is there something better for solo violin? Thanks
I own most of "the best" solo violin libraries out there, this is literally THE BEST solo violin out there. Perfect for real time performance, the BEST when programmed. The articulations in this are phenomenal, legato is perfect, portamento is perfect, vibrato is perfect. I cant believe what an amazing job you did that all the other huge companies haven't done yet. This is a game changer library and i really cant even imagine how the next solo violin you'll make will sound. Im gonna be the first one who'll buy the next, without second thoughts! Cant wait for it! Well done Embertone.
Better than Bohemian?
Just bought the full version. Amazing piece of technology. I'll spend next weekend playing with this to get the hang of it. Thank you for this high level of quality. It will no doubt improve my future compositions.
It's the most versatile /realistic Violin library up to this date !
Nope try swam engine.
I discovered this VST just by chance, and it's the best violin I ever heard so far, you guys have a golden touch. You should do the same thing for voices, so far I haven't heard a good vocal vst.
And I have to add that all your previous violin viola cello sounded already good, but not this good (warmth, detail etc).
Hi do you think this one’s better than the bohemian violin vst?
I didn't know about its existence, i am listening to it now, and I am impressed.
output exhale is good for vocals
Check out Musical Sampling's Amy
Such a beautiful violin Embertone!! I feel you could make some amazing "The Village" style pieces amongst a sea of other styles
YES! I think that style would work well...
Incredible Library. The best Embertone VI to date. In a list of many amazing virtual instruments they did. They keep raising the bar with every new venture they take, and this time is a quantum leap.
Bravo! This is a really well done demonstration. You thought it out and executed it completely and thoroughly. Thank you so much.
Groundbreaking? No, it is better than that. It is the most fun a human musician can have at this point in time, I think. As Elly May Clampett once said on TV "This library is more fun than a barrel full of tadpoles!"
Awesome job. The instant-KS feature is something i wanted since such a long time for solo strings. While i have got almost any existing solo sting stuff on the market this is on my list now! Already curious what will be next. Probably a Misha Maisky or Yo-Yo Ma Cello? A Gidon Kremer Viola? Surprise me ;) (oh and THANKS A LOT that you didnt take a pop violin person but a true classical genious!!!). Keep up the great work!
Okay, okay, okay... I will buy it!
it's true, you guys are the best at legato. Jubal flute is still my favorite instrument out of the ones I frequently use.
I can't believe this thing. You guys are crazy talented. I have the Friedlander Violin, and you just blew it out of the water!
Embertone nailed it on this one
They had to pull a few strings..... Lol
best solo violin i ever heard
Please make an entire orchestra like this
I need a fiddle, but all the fiddle libraries have some imperfections which immediately shows that they aren't real instruments. Do you think JBV can imitate a fiddle well in a folk band recording, or is it too virtuosic?
dude, it sounds the exact viola concerts I have attended! thanks for bringing this to us. I will buy this vst next black friday lol
No words.!!! Just amazing sampling.
WOW, this is awesome Joshua! 😃
just lovely.
so real and expressive
You guys make some great samples with great prices. I'll always be around with support. Keep creating some more awesome samples. I can't wait! =)
Lovely sound. Is it possible to play a note and increase the expression from silence? I may have missed this while watching. i.e Use a fader or CC11 and bring in the volume of a note?
Oh god that harmonic slur is so good.
The contours should make it possible to finally create same bow direction same note slurs.
I just purchased this. I can't wait to play around with it after this semester is over.
You really should do a good Erhu Vst at a very good level like the Violin. I think many will be interested in it.
This is almost the best violin, it this had various vibrato and stronger it would be
Example: Virharmonic Violin EXP 1 has the best vibrato, but I can't do the speed legato like this one, thats what you guys have best!
One question: which midi cc channel controls the dynamics?
I am looking to buy VSTS for a full string-quartet. This violin sounds AMAZING ..... but I wonder how the other Embertone quartet instruments compare (Fisher Viola, Blakus Cello and Leonid Bass) as far as quality? And when combined as a quartet? Or am I better off buying a full quartet such as Solo Strings (Spitfire Audio) or Cremona Quartet (Native Instruments)?
Would love to hear peoples' thoughts!
Wouaouwwww, Fan -tas-tic! it's amazing, congratulations!
I'm in love with this plugin and will pick it up as soon as I can afford it.
Out of curiosity though - is the vibrato fixed or midi programmable? Thanks!
Can you please tell me how to adjust setting for portamento ? when im glide lower note to highr it is working but on higher note to lower note its not working ! how can i change it and make a smooth glide
That sounds fantastic!
you guys always make the dopest shit. from Mouth Trumpet, to Arcane, to this. Super inspiring company that i'd love to contribute to
Why don't they make a physical modelling of the same
Can I set the pitch band controller so that the pitch band really works?
Beautiful
Great walkthrough - question: would you advise someone buy the first gen s88 controller like you're using, or get an s61 MK2, or... just wait for the S88 MK2 to come out? Do you find that having a full 88 is essential when working with Kontakt libraries, and that you might go nuts if you don't have the full-size controller?
Alain Patry mk 2 is likely to be a big jump in terms of features. But I love my mk1 :)
13 dislikes??? OK, not so perfect as a REAL violin, but still the best virtual you can get.
It's a jungle out here in TH-cam land :). Gotta watch out for aggressive comments and unexplainable dislikes!
Inspiring.
WOWZERS!
Great job, very impressive, though some of the slides in the video were physically impossible ones :) I noticed that the Schindler's list demo from the equally impressive Frieldlander library was partly played on the E string when as a player you'd opt for the A string, so wondering how you can select the string that a note is played on.
Have I to hold the key pressed for articulation other than sustain? Isn't there keyswitch?
There's something I noticed when using crecendo and diminuendo: If for example, I press a note, and after one or two seconds I press the diminuendo, at that moment it sounds like you arepressing the note again, I mean that it doesnt simply start to decrease the sound. Is that normal?
Sounds Awesome!!
What is happening at 8:08? Sounds like a snare drum under the tremolo
is there a thorough manual? I have the violin and I start to produce good melody, but I really want to understand what the modulation and pitch bend wheels exactly do, in relation to the velocity of the midi notes. I can't understand it yet.
but the player in this video seems to be only using the keyswitches.. maybe that's what I'm supposed to do.
I must spend 200.00 i don't have to acquire this masterful beauty.
Is it possible to use this without a midi keyboard? Dragging notes in a piano roll from what I've tested always sounds incredibly delayed. I know daws have track latency offsetting settings but it seems like every single note has a different amount of delay on it so it's impossible to make it sound onbeat without individually retiming every note. I'm just wondering if there's an easier way or something im just not understanding.
Did you figured it out?
wow magic
Very nice!
Hi! How good is this with ROLI Seaboard RISE Keyboard?
We wouldn't know! We contacted ROLI repeatedly to see about developing for the keyboard. Got no response.
Embertone Sad, it could lead to great result if they are cooperative.
agree!
Ah man. That sucks. Talk about missing a trick. I own a Roli Seaboard Rise and using it for String libraries would be incredible!
Is it working in Kontakt 6 ?? I dont have kontakt 5 ver
Might want to add the link for the product
:-)
You should remake the sensual saxophone with this level of realism!!!
Omg that is amazing
wow, after hearing chris hein and bohemium violin, this doesn't hold a candle
Wait... So you dont like this?
Rip my pc when i try to open this
Nicanor Villanueva in kontakt settings , click purge - purge all samples . You’re welcome
great instrument ,excellent expressions and key switches .. but worst downloader i have ever seen it took ages on high speed internet as if i am downloading a free copy .
qué buen sonido
After wanting for years to play the violin I discovered Ajana Music Lessons and it seems to be the best online course (google it if you're interested)
dumblildan brought me here
flickering piano led needs epileptic warning
still the best lmao
tremolo sounds horrible and way to damn fast, everything else was ok though
It's so awesome, yet so pricey (understandably i guess). Do you guys know if there is any Sale going to be on the VST by any chance? I'd grab it in an instant
Yo! try the JBell Essential. It sounds super good and it's half the price :)
