Great video, well done. Thank you. This is exactly what Salisbury is like. Market Day is on Tuesdays and Saturdays with more street food on a Saturday, especially in the summer. Salisbury is lovely. We've just moved into the city within walking distance of the market and the Cathedral. So glad to have been able to have it to walk around over the Pandemic when it was deserted. It was like having your own personal city. Prefer it buzzing and busy though.

Would you recommend your town to visitors from the US? We're thinking of spending some days there this coming March, after flying into London. We're looking for a town we can take the train to, that's walkable so we don't have to rent a car while in the UK. I'll be doing a little plein air painting and my wife loves to explore, but at a relaxed pace. We also love pubs. Spent a week in Canterbury before the pandemic started and loved that experience.
@@EllenLangfordPaints I am sure you would love it here. It’s very historic with beautiful buildings plus loads of pubs! The cathedral is stunning amid lovely grounds. There is good public transport locally plus it’s only about one hour and forty minutes from London by train.
@ellenlangford2303 How wonderful that you are planning a trip here! Salisbury is a lovely place to be based as the city is compact and full of pretty and interesting spots to wander around. There are many options to travel by bus and rail and many beautiful and historic locations nearby such as Stonehenge, Avebury, Marlborough and Bath. You can also easily visit the coast if you care to experience a seaside town. Depending on the time you have available, you may wish to consider taking the train from London to Bath or Oxford and staying there for a while and then moving on to Salisbury. I regularly use the bus and train services in the area and would be happy to help further with any questions on this if you would like to message me here or on Instagram. I also have a few reels on Instagram showing some of the aforementioned places and plan on uploading more about these places going forward so I hope this may be helpful to you.
