    Weather perspective, Australian climate is much closer to Indian Climate. However, in Canada, weather is harsh, except British Columbia. Canada is also having highest living costs, including insurance both medical and vehicle, especially cities like Vancouver, Toronto etc. Both have its pros and cons, but like you said Australian job market as not good as Canadian job market. Canadian Rough, harsh winters lasts for 5-6 months with heavy snow and under -40 degrees, is always challenging being how good the jobs are.

    Canada: colder, more diversified economy, more jobs, lower salaries/wages, lower cost of living, and closer to the US and Europe
    Australia: hotter, less diversified economy, less jobs, higher salaries/wages, higher cost of living, and closer to Asia

      As an Asian, I love the weather in Australia because it’s not much different from where I grew up. I can’t stand the cold weather. But I’ve been to both countries. I guess the sun is a huge factor on people’s personalities as well. Canadians are as cold as their weather. But in comparison to US, Canadians are more friendly. And though Australians are not necessarily warm people, their way of life is much more relaxed & they have sunnier personalities. But yes, Australia is damn expensive! Even more expensive than UK just to give everyone an idea..

      Joy Ann El-Khouri Can you explain further what happened in Australia that gave such disappointment? I was really planning to apply there. If that was way back in the 80’s then maybe things have gone better now? I’m just curious about your husband’s experience.

      @Siddharth Dwivedi Stop over exaggerating. It can get as low as -30°C but it's infrequent. How cold and severe winters are depends on what province you live in. In BC, for example, you can have years with no snow at all. Plus, Canadians enjoy four very distinct seasons, particularly in the more populated regions along the US border. Daytime summer temperatures can rise to 35°C and higher, while lows of -25°C are not uncommon in winter. More moderate temperatures are the norm in spring and fall.

      Canada is also tough. I have an MBA degree from of one of the world's top business school in the US and US experience, yet can't get a job in Canada despite being a PR. The only jobs available are minimum wage jobs. The market is better in Toronto than where I live. However, in Toronto even with the high paying job you will be making to pay rent and basic living expenses if you live with a family. If you want to buy a house there, prepare to make at least $200,000 + as a small house in GTA can easily cost $1m+.
      So you have to choose between cities with a lot of jobs but unbearable cost of living and no future when it comes to owning a property and cities with low cost of living, relatively affordable housing but no decent jobs available. I chose the second option because there I can at least sustain for a longer period of time until I get a job.
      Overall, it's quite difficult in both Australia and Canada. It's much easier to obtain a well paid job in the US if you have a PR status there

      You think Canada is good? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I wonder what the Canadian government does with the money brought by immigrants since most immigrants will end up in shipping/receiving back-breaking jobs making minimum wage. The weather is treachours and you will be spending many months inside your room and it is worse than you could possibly imagine.

      Problem is you have to pay rent $3000 a month for rent for the rest of your life (city).
      In Australia the average house price is 800,000 to 1.2 million dollars .Who can afford that ?
      Also lack of job opportunities in Australia..

    Australia & Canada are both great countries to migrate. That’s a fact. But the influx of applicants make it difficult already for new comers to find a job & settle, unlike when you applied around 10 yrs ago.. and I think both countries are already overrated for immigration.
    If cold weather is not your concern, instead of Canada, I would rather apply to Scandinavian/Nordic countries. Especially if you’re in the healthcare industry. These are great countries to migrate to. And if down under is still your preference, New Zealand is a better alternative to Australia.

    Only weather is a big thumbs down for canada specially for migrants from South Asia. Proximity to Asia is not a drawback for Australia as China is growing leaps and bounds economically.

    • @rauleyshar3635
      @rauleyshar3635 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Canada is garbage. I lived there since this girl in the video still sucking her thumb back home. Canada has turned into a shithole nation after Trudeau got elected. It is a country of elites controlling the entire Canadian government. Areas like GTA are overly crowded and the amount of time you will be spending behind the steering is in hours. Quality of life has gone down the drain, but a refugee from Syria may find it heaven in Canada since Syria is also a shithole. America is not bad, but it is very rough there. Too much gun violence-related crime and drugs, but other than that it is probably much better than Australia or Canada. The only problem in America is Trump is having the immigrants go through hell since it is very hard to get permanent residency there.

    Also you did not mention couple of important differences. Canada is part of very important trade association called USMCA (Nafta) with a combined population 500 million people (US, Canada and Mexico). Meanwhile Australia is basically controlled by China. Anytime China decides can put thumb screws on Australia.
    2nd most important factor is Australia is a very isolated continent or nation. You can take a look in to world map. Canada is very close to USA, Europe and most of the Central and South American countries.
    Which means I can reach most of the important cities in few hours from Canada. Proximity to USA means a Canadian citizen very easily access US job market.

    Here the facts .. sydney housing cost $450 week for 2 rooms , utilities kill around $160 monthly. Food around $200 weekly . Average wage for Indian worker around $22. Not include overtime. Can bring home $800 for 45 hours after taxes Monday to Friday... ( if you work more then 8 hours a day you get 1.5 extra for every hours you work ( $33) .. .... this is how you save money the Indian way ... first shares bed rooms properly cost $150 including bills per week.... Food is cheap if you cook at home and buy in bulks. $100) ....final calculation = $800-$150-$100=$550 saving ... properly $500 including travel expenses ...you can save $500 ... that not bad

    • @slam5
      @slam5 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      -40 c? there are fewer and fewer places in Canada that remotely getting to that temperature even in far north in arctic or sub-arctic region is getting so high that there are part of the year where there is no more ice. Look up northwest passage and you will know. and even if an area gone as low as -40, it will be VERY short. canada is not the great white north people think it is.
