This is perfect for anyone (like me) that hates using WASD for navigation, but still wants keyboard control - much better than a console style controller
surprised people dont talk about its non gaming use cases more often. I work in data analysis with one of these things and having a dedicated second keyboard for work macros in R and SQL is a gamechanger.
That's what I'm looking into it for. I work in Excel all day, copying, pasting, renaming files, etc. My MX Master mouse is super helpful, but my right thumb wears out. I need to give my left hand some of the work load. Lol
Hey, sorry to bother you after so long, i was going to buy a razer tartarus, and i am algo getting into data, i wanted to ask you, about your keybinds, or what macros do you thin are the most important, and i do not have much practical experience, i still need to find what works best for me, but i would be interested to know what others use it for.
This is the exact reason why I'm buying this. Aside from being a software developer, I personally use a ton of macros even in my daily casual use. I'm running out of numpad.
@@principal-videojuegos6666Everyone works differently, I'm sure you can figure out yourself once you start doing more work because then you'll realize what task you do often and you can macro that. Also do try to explore into PowerToys (Windows), Elgato Stream Deck app (Android), and AutoHotkey as well because you might not need to spend so much yet as those software can help in terms of macro and keybinds. Me personally, even I have rebounded my normal keys such as Caps Lock (because I never used caps lock) into something like F13. I can then use that key to bind to trigger something else as it's a key with no function these days.
I got the V2. The clicky membrane keys are alright. My main board has Kailh Box Navy. My main complain with the design is that it's a big too large for my hands, I have trouble reaching the top row and the spacebar button. Otherwise it's a fine successor to the Belkin n52 Nostromo - Same design for the most part since the acquisition.
@@edgardocruz-pagan4107 tried it. Loved the stick but my unfortunately my left hand lacks the finesse to not hit multiple of those very sensitive mouse switches at once. Something like that but with keyboard switches would be perfect. Thank you for trying to help with your suggestion though! It is greatly appreciated. 😄
i was under the impression that the entire point of this product was to more or less "add" more keys to your games, so you have it sit next to your flight stick or to the left of your keyboard for games that have 2500 keybinds like star citizen and arma for example.
i play movement shooters where you have to jump and move around a lot (Apex Legends,Quake Champions, Overwatch) hows that spacebar? it seems like it would be a bit out of reach for the thumb.
move it all a row down,so 18 is down button. and you can rearrange buttons and turn them around so you get more edges for better feel.and saw of the top right part of the hand rest so you get better scroll wheel aces
Wants a clicky keypad when reviewing an analouge keypad? if tou want the clicks, get the V2... Does this guy even realise that this is the analouge version? no mention of it at all and no testing the push of the keys.... Strange video this...
No doubt you've rectified this already in your production pipeline but this video definitely needs a high pass filter ran on it. Especially from the mid point onwards its rough on headphones.
I used a Logitech G13 for years, and it's finally starting to fail me a bit due to age. I was waiting for a long time for Logitech to come through with a new model, but nothing yet. I am looking that this one for a replacement. I've gotten too used to gameboards to go back to using the keyboard. I may get this for myself as a Christmas present, i hope it serves me well 🙂
You can, but I'd recommend that you get the slim profile keycaps. They use MX stem. Keep in mind that the keycaps are contoured to make the thing more ergonomic.
tactical feature don't related to the optical keys, but to the type of switches. I have a meck keyboard with optical brown switches which have tactical feeling on it. but same optical RED switches will not have the same feel, will be more linear
I've used it on KOTOR, once u get it down, with a bit of practice, my gaming like 100s of tomes better. I play the space war zone battles mainly, have gone from ordinary 2one of the top 20 players on the planet! Highly recommended!
Excellent for WoW. I've used to Orbweaver for 7 years. I can't go back. For FPS games you hardly need any configuring, but with WoW you'll need to use trial and error to design the best and most intelligent configuration.
I think what they have to work on is the clickiness of the buttons I would like almost no noise. I mean i think thats the one thing i dont like about this device and also the movement stick if you can call it that i would rather have a real joy stick so you can do eight directionational movement. but other than that i do like these pads
would have been a good demonstration if you would shown more than three knuckles worth of the device.. I got more on wall mounting my controllers than usage of how your hand works on the device. IT looks like the pad is bouncing.. too bad you did not actually how how you used it.
I do not understand how people would love the click sound... It is very annoying especially for other people around you. I bought one keypad once and returned it like after the very first use... Click click
It's just another sensory feedback. When you do things you rely on your senses to affirm for you that you did what you intended to do, either by sight, feel, sound etc. in this case, it's just an extra sound confirmation on top of just your finger feel. Clicky sounding keys tend to also offer more haptic physical feedback to your fingers as well. In short, it just gives you more positive feedback.
hi. im a disabled gamer that can only use one hand. as you can imagine this very much limits the games i can play. i have seen these and im just trying to get some advice on if you think this will open up the games i could play. and if you can use this as a stand alone.
Razer has really good products but the only thing that i don’t like about razer is there mics and they don’t Really have a big audience for them. Razer should work on them.
Razer keyboards are built broken with the key spamming issues across the fleet. Synapse is clumsy and inefficient. Try to set a key to Toggle. It'll take 2 macros and requires 2 keys to maybe function. Logitech Gaming Software accomplished this by placing a check in a box and using only a single key. Man, I miss my Logitech G13.
Logitech software has gotten a lot worse, I use to hold that opinion but am now having to switch to custom or razer stuff to have software that even sometimes works.
@@AylaMeo I just wish more company would do gaming keypad so razer would have competition in that department. Honestly I feel the thumb area is best suited for a glorified spacebar button, a D-pad (because I don't think anyone is precise enough for the speudo joystic with 8 button we have) and a shift/profile button. My hand is on the smaller end but I could benefit from having an other column at the left.

Where did you get the clock you have under your monitor? Thank you!!!
Is there left and right hand options?
when you were playing FF14 did you use the thumbpad to move around?
why does it move so much when you are using it in the video editing program
why is the keypad wobbling instead of laying flat against the table
i think he was just tryinh to keep it in frame..
Think he didnt even know how to use it right. Noob reviewer.
I don't understand why they refuse to give us an option for a proper analog stick.
To get a more traditional analog stick your best best is the Azeron Cyborg, but be ready to spend over $200.00 for that.

why dont i have the actuation point thing?
Do you have the PRO version?
The nomal V2 is a simple bubble dome switch, so non adjustable
What's the clock at 4:10?
I can use the razer tartarus pro with the ps4 could you tell me how oh do you have any video thanks
I bet this thing would be amazing for modeling in Blender.
Im intersted in it onky cause its so small that id only use it for gamming switching from controller to pc
Razer always does a amazing job with the boxing of their products
Except for their laptops
packaging*
Can you use this on a Mac?
No. You will need Synapse, which isn't available.
Shame really.
I would buy one tomorrow otherwise
what model your clock ?
It's the LaMetric Time. Here it is: amzn.to/3i9W8Mj
will this remember key actuation depth settings if you uninstall synapse?
Will the Tartarus Pro work on Xbox Series X?
Have you had sticky key issues just bought this wondering if it was a mistake 🤔
Does the dpad/joystick control the mouse cursor?
Hi friend nice video! Do you know how to use Trtarus Pro on PS5? it wont read 1-20 Keys when i plug it, only the pad keys works, thankyou!
You figure it out yet?
Why would you be playing with that thing wobbling around?

It looks great honestly but i really wish that the thumbstick operated as a controller thumbstick instead of a dpad

Sound is satisfying. I don't use clicky keyboard around people and my room has a door 😮.
Most people game by themselves or with headphones on so you do hear it normally

Hello. It can mostly function by itself but it won't be great at simulating mouse movements. I would say that's the biggest compromise with it.

buy a tatarus and still use 3 fingers for just movement ...brilliant !!
they should add a thumb pad for that , oh , wait !!!
