    For someone doing side quests in strongman you did great! Just glad you got through relatively injury free.

    Great job on the performance at the comp. A word of advice for your videos, add some visual aids for viewers regarding reps, points, distance, and placing of the comp. It'll keep viewers more engaged. Good job of including clips of the comp. Best wishes for the future. - Jody C

    Always humble but still confident - I love the balance you have struck - it makes being a fan of yours very easy! I honestly thought you would take the whole contest with Loz in your corner, but 6th is still very good for like your second strongman comp ever and I think your first OSG ever.

    It’s so cool to see you do this. Hit 440lbs Yoke in like 25 seconds and 385x6 deadlift (raw duh) at 183lbs before that in my training session today. Never done Yoke before. Really inspiring to see you doing this side quest while doing such cool things in powerlifting. I’m a biochem student so it’s amazing to see someone in my field do the things I want to do.

You have the potential to be the Mat Fraser of strongman, at 5' 9" you maintain being relatable to the masses while exemplifying the human potential. the drama and story of strongman is just so much more rich than powerlifting

    @ConnoisseurOfExistence 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

    So, the wrecking ball hold was hard, ha? Great job overall! All, that you not winning the OSG shows, in my opinion, is that strongman isn't really about who is the strongest. Although it's a very fun sport.

    • @GrantBrown-sp2tg
      @GrantBrown-sp2tg 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I mean it still can be who "is the strongest" its just across a broader number of different disciplines. Within powerlifting it would be like like labelling the best squatter as the best powerlifter even if they did not have the highest total.
      I think the idea is that the winner is the one who is on average the strongest in all the events. Rather than just cherry picking a particular event as the thing that decides who is the best.

    • @ConnoisseurOfExistence
      @ConnoisseurOfExistence 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@GrantBrown-sp2tg In my opinion, it rather tests other qualities, like strength-endurance. Also, it's meant to look more as a show for the public, rather than serious test of pure strength. With that said, I do watch a lot of strongman, more than powerlifting, and enjoy it. Plus, the best strongmen are also pretty statically strong.
