I've had mine for a year and love it. Mine came with a pretty heavy trigger, so I sent it to TK Custom for a trigger job and now it's fantastic. I've noticed that the sights seem to be regulated for 158 grain projectiles, so I've been carrying it with Buffalo Bore Heavy 38 Special LSCHWP. I almost never shoot 357 mag out of it. It's not like it's the worst experience in the world, but follow up shots take all day. I like to try and get 5 shots in the A zone as quickly as possible. I'm faster with the 640 in 38 than I am with my Hellcat Pro, and IMO it's more comfortable to carry.
I currently carry a 642 and was wanting to switch to the 640 with the little bit of added weight shooting +P. This video just convinced me to get the 640 Pro. I really like the upgraded sight. Great review.
Great review, thank you!! This revolver has been on my wish list for a while!!! I much rather carry the stainless steel snubbies than the air weight models. I have the Ruger SP101 and put Pachmayr grips on it to help with the recoil.
Hey John. 357 magnum is my favorite CTG. The look on peoples faces after hearing and feeling the shockwave. This J Frame Smith handles them a little better than others I have tried. Perhaps the weight and that nice rubber grip help.
I think your hand Would get beat up less if you didn't stage the trigger. Your trigger pull at 8:12 of the video was just about right on trigger pull through. The Remington HTP is nasty carry loads. My favorite.
Nice review - thank for including the ExtraCarry speed loader for the 357!

Nice review! I purchased a 640 pro series last October. Very satisfied with it. Definitely a good quality revolver.
Thanks Rick. It’s a good shooter for such a small revolver.
Some of the pauses between shooting are ASMR
Thank you, for the detailed review. What a beautiful revolver
Nice little vid Brotha, just what I needed. I own this too, and it fits the bill in so many ways also having some bells and whistles all the while.
Thank you 👍🏻

You are gonna like the night sights, they show up very well and highlight this gun phenomenally. Enjoy.
Exactly what I was looking for. This gun plus the different loads and how they felt. Great video
Thanks! Glad we were able to help you make a wise decision should you end up purchasing one.
Gorgeous revolver 😻
Better than new kimber❤

Thank you. That extra weight definitely helps with taming the recoil on these smaller revolvers.
beautiful pistol. Steel Frame with nice Sights! 38+P in a steel frame sounds lighter and gentle... compared to the hard kickin mule 357!

I carry one almost daily.

Great video! The 640 pro is on my short list f9r sure. What is the brand of that pocket clip box for your speed loaders?
Thanks for the encouragement!
It’s an Extracarry concealed carry magazine pouch.

I love Mika Pocket holsters. Use them for my 642 pro. The 640 carries good in the pocket then?
Yes. It will pocket carry fine.
@FieldStrip357 Thanks, I am looking for something I can throw in my pocket for Big dogs if I need it. I run deliveries sometimes in the wilderness.
