I’ve been focusing more on short-form video content on instagram and the weekly podcast episodes. But I do have a few long-form videos coming soon. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Word up Vlad, shoutout from Dubai! Been watching your videos since 2020, you're my favouirte menswear TH-camr. Your ability to mix classic menswear, with your sense of humour, while staying true to yourself is something not many menswear channels out there can do. Congrats on finally adding a pair of oxblood shoes to your collection, they look remarkable. Spiral wholecuts are unique, you don't really see a lot of them out there, the first one I saw was one from John Lobb Paris, but your new pair of Yeossal Oxfords can easily compete with them. I think I first heard about Chinese shoemakers through your channel, stunning work at this point, as good as what you would get from England, Italy, Spain, and Japan. Appreciate the content you put out!
Wow, thanks for your long-time support and kind words. I really appreciate it! I think you’ve said it all about these shoes. One thing that I’ll add is quality can come from anywhere, and you can definitely see the craftsmanship and passion by looking at the shoes. Shoutout to Dubai and it’s high on my list of places that I need to visit.
@@v_r_ Always. Hundred per cent. There is this UAE based shoemaker called The Cobbler, with a handful of outlets in the region. Some of the shoes they offer are made in England, Spain, or Italy and there's even the option to get their shoes bespoke in the UAE or England. The only proper bespoke shoemaker store in Dubai, you can get everything from dress shoes to socks, shoe kits and even Saphir cream. I recall a few years ago speaking with a shoemaker out of Pakistan working there, I admired his black captoe Oxfords, struck up a conversation with him about shoes, and he later told me the pair of shoes he was wearing were a bespoke pair made in Pakistan. On a final note, when I first saw the thumbnail to your video, I actually thought the shoes were a really dark brown, until I watched the video. Oxblood is an unusual colour with so much of depth to it. Some people use the terms burgundy and Oxblood interchangably, but, they really are different shades part of that specific colour spectrum.
Great shoes! I always learn something from your videos. You have found your fit with your style and mindset, are willing to evolve both, and esp work diligently to help others improve their style. Thank you for your service. I am glad I rediscovered your channel again.
It’s my pleasure. One thing to keep in mind is it does vary depending on the tannery. The pair from Vass that I had previously and ended up selling was much much darker. But I think this pair reflects what Oxblood was meant to be the best.
I missed you big fella i am sure you parlayed the success of your channel into other more lucrative business opportunities, but any hoot I am glad you are back.
Thanks, fam! I’m still around just not a ton of long form videos as of late. But I still make short form a lot more especially on Instagram and the podcast is weekly.
@@v_r_ I know how that is, mulling over options for my first ever pair of custom boots that I'll be ordering sometime before the end of the year, not sure they will turn out as amazing as these shoes though haha.
Those are really nice! I didn’t know anything about the spiral cut technique. When I first saw them I thought Austerity. I’m gonna try and get some. The only thing I would say is that I have pulled off wearing a black suite with dark brown shoes. You can make it work with the right shirt tie combo. I’m definitely adding Yeosol to my collection.
Nice! I have one pair of oxblood shoes (boot) now, I may go with these. Was looking at a pair of wholecuts but these put a twist on it. Messaging them now about getting them in a 13 UK.
Hey Vlad it was great meeting you at the trunk show exactly 2 weeks ago today, it would have been great if it was held today with the temperature expected to be 80. You were kind & courteous & I realized later that I didn't get a picture of you l. Love the shoe particular the colour, I haven't seen any of your long videos since the show. Dewet (pron duet)
What’s up, Dewet? I think you said you were coming from Long Island? Anyway, it was nice meeting you as well, we’ll definitely take a pic next time. And you’re so right, today’s weather is so much better. I’m glad it was still a good turnout and I got to meet a lot of viewers such as yourself.
This is by no means a criticism - Can someone please explain why most Asian made shoes have that weird heel that's merged with the sole? I think the only Chinese company that doesn't do it is ACME, and their shoes are beautiful and 3x the price of the less expensive Chinese brands. I find that weird merge to create an odd and unattractive profile. It must be a way to save money on construction. I imagine a stacked heel is expensive, but also makes a very attractive shoe. Otherwise, this shoe is a very nice shoe. I think Lobb was the first to design the spiral whole cut; called the Strand. The designer got the idea from looking at Tokyo's Spiral building. BTW, I think guys should be careful distinguishing what they like vs what looks good on them. A swallow neck collar only looks good on guys with longer necks. I've seen too many guys wear them without regard to how it personally looks on them. If you have an average to shorter neck, those shirts, with enormous out of proportion collars, look absolutely clownish.
Oh man, what a truly awesome pair of shoes, I will definitely be setting aside some extra coins to save up and order a pair of those shoes, I have ordered their one-piece collar polo shirts, Mr. Riche thanks for the info 2 thumbs up cuz I don't want people to think I'm a hater-outro! 😎👍👍
The shoes look really good (I've heard the brand is making moves in the shoe arena). Very versatile, as you state. I hear you were at the Trunk Show in NY :-)
I am planning on ordering these shoes, but I need to know what they mean by shoe fitting and size adjustment. I like the oxblood hatchgrain but I was looking at the espresso hatchgrain. Do you think they will look just as good as the oxblood?
I know that they’re very busy right now but reach out to them via Instagram. That’s the best way to get answers to your questions. As far as the color, I’d say Oxblood has a bit more character but expresso will look very nice as well.
Question, what’s the best shoe to wear with Italian slim fit suit in black or navy blue? I’m looking for something with thin sole cap toe Oxford. What are your thoughts, I appreciate your opinion also Im 5’8”” 130lbs
I am a shoe aficionado from the hood .This shoe style would NOT impress me,at all.. I would not even notice them.. I see why your son calls you grandpa because, they are grandpa shoes..They are way to vanilla for my taste." I can put up.".Yet...To each his own..
Hey, fake rasta..Where is your shoe video?I bet you don't even own a necktie,.there is no way you own high-end shoes..Put up or shut up..@@MiKeEFerguson

The Podcasts have been a good listen while driving to work. 👏👏👏

I just recently uploaded the audio on TH-cam actually. So you should find it here

I’m really feeling those shoes. Can’t wait to wear them for real.

Stunning craftsmanship!
I couldn’t agree more
I'm a boot guy myself, but you definitely know how to customize some shoes my man.
Thank you! The funny part is I’m very indecisive, so it usually takes me a while to make a final decision. But they always turn out well at the end.

Yeossal
The spiral cut is really special. I highly recommend Yeossal, they haven’t failed me yet. Let them know that you’ve seen my video.
Look great, ordering a pair as I view this video.
It’s such a nice pair. Tell them you’ve seen them in my video.
Astonished...i like the shoes...i will buy one. You make me try Sons of Henry split toe derby, i was not disappointed. Thanks man.
I’m glad to hear that you like your SoH shoes. Tell Yeossal that you saw my video.

100% agree. They do a great job.
Hi Vlad, love these. How does it work in the US, you dont pay import duties+ vat for items like these or S&M stuff?
What’s up, bro? No import duties, fortunately. I’d say that went away about 5 years ago for us here in the US.
