Right on time! I have been thinking about upgrading my black cap toe oxfords. I do not want to spend $400 or $500 on shoes that I might only wear two or three times a year, but I also want better than what I already have. The price range in this video is my sweet spot.

Mr. Riche let me start out by saying it's great to see the classic "Intro" and I much appreciate this update on the top shoes for under $300.00, with you wearing the same suit as in the original just proves the strength of classic men's wear, you even took the look up to the next level wearing a sleeves vest, now the shoes that got my attention most were BlkBrd out India going to do my research and more than likely I will be purchasing a pair thanks for the video "Outro"😎

Thanks for the tip about J.Rozario. I ordered a pair of black cap toe oxfords yesterday. He reached out to me directly after I left a comment on the Facebook page to see if I had any questions about the brand, sizing, etc. Then he followed up with a phone call after I placed my order. Great personal customer service. Looking forward to getting these shoes on my feet soon!

Yo I appreciate this. We held a recent trunk show here in Oakland CA and some folks felt some type of way about the cost of our shoes and I recommended several of these brands. They felt some type of way but they respected it. There are so many options out there, find what works you and have a blast. Good work 🙌🏿

Agreed. My first 3 pairs of shoes when rebuilding my wardrobe are Meermins. Two boots and a derby. Fantastic shoes. I don't think break-in has ever been an issue for me..... All my shoes are less than a year old. The Meermin store in SOHO is great. The store manager, Kyle, and the crew are great. All very helpful. Lovely store.
I too met Bridlen and CNES at the Super Trunk Show in NYC! I was only there for maybe 90 minutes so I missed you. But yes, the CNES people are really nice. Just to let people know, most of their shoes are MTO. So it takes about 3 months for delivery. For the price and quality, you can't beat them.
I was really surprised by Bridlen. Basically, Japanese styled made in India. The styles are very nice and pricing exceptional. I saw some loafers which look pretty darn nice for about $250. Suede. Goodyear-welted.
    Great picks!

you have a nice outfit, I use similar while visiting customer or travelling for work. The recent rise of temperatures though are making me think how should we dress in future for formal occasion, Europe is becoming like a 24/7 turned on oven and nowadays is like running from (car+HVAC full power) to the (meeting places), to dress in layers will be soon in my opinion a memory from colder pasts. or not ?

I've tried CNES, Meermin and BLKBRD. The CNES run narrow for me. I didnt like the last share on the Meermin. BLKBRD had me the most instrigued as they are trying to make shoes that rival $500-1000 brand and substantially less. No one else is making shoes with fiddleback waist for under 300$. They need to improve their QC as they have made errors on two different orders. They have been excellent in fixing their mistakes to their credit.

  • @SimonChambers

7L is the only brand I already have from your list, and they're incredible. CNES is in my cart to buy next month I hope. I'm surprised Justin Fitzpatrick didn't make your list. I absolutely love his shoes, and there are many pairs that come in around $300 I think?
